Do baby thank you so much I'm so glad you like it. You know Rudolf and The Year Without A Santa Claus are two of my favorite Christmas movies I have both of them on DVD and watch them all the time I love the Ice Miser and the Heat Miser brothers as you can see I used the Ice Miser as the butler lol. I'm working on that drink for you right now plus another story this time a little supernatural. Hug's !

Hi sorry for the delay with the story but I've been struggling with it. I wanted to do a Scrooge story but the only thing I could come up with is the one I'm going to give you. It's not exactly a Scrooge story it does have some of the Scrooge elements in it and it also has some supernatural, fantasy and love elements in it. I hope you all will enjoy it. My name is Salem and I'm a paranormal investigator and the strange and unusual is a part of my everyday life but I also possess a gift that no other investigator has I have the ability to go between both worlds meaning I can cross over into the world of the non living and walk amongst them just like I do in this world that is how I solve all of my cases I'm able to cross over and find out exactly what the ghost or spirit wants and once I do that your home is no longer haunted but never in a million years would I have thought I would ever work on a case like this. The case your going to hear about involves me and my best friend a childhood prank and her father. It was Christmas time and my best friend Raven came from a very wealthy family she had everything a child could ever want and then some but her dad was a bit of a grump when Christmas time would roll around so being the pranksters we were and me having the ability to do the things I do we decided to pull a Scrooge prank on her dad one Christmas I was able to cross over and see his past life and his childhood Christmas. Well needless to say the prank was elaborate and it worked he loved it and he said okay I get the picture girls and I'll try and do better I promise and for a while he did that is until the other night when my phone rang at 3:00 in the morning and it was Raven on the other end sounding so distraught and asking for my help so with no hesitation what so ever I packed my bags and out the door I went and on my home to help my best friend. When I arrived Raven was a mess and I asked her what on earth is going on is your house haunted what is going on tell me. She sat me down and began asking me if I remembered the prank we pulled all those years ago and I said yup I was the one who orchestrated that one remember, she gave me that same sweet soft smile and said yes. She then went on to tell me that for the last few Christmas's her father had become very cranky often staying in his bedroom for the entire holiday and not coming out and she could hear him talking with someone and she swore she could hear a woman's voice as well. Her mother had left them years earlier for no apparent reason I guess she had all the money she needed and decided to leave Raven and her father. I then ask her do you think it's your mother and she said no we've not heard from mom since the day she left. I said okay then what's the problem do we need to pull this prank again and she said maybe but this time it has to be for real I said for real what do mean by that either your dad or your house is haunted I need to get rid of whatever is here not pull another prank let me see your dad. She said please just follow me to the bedroom and listen for a minute so I did and she was right I could clearly hear him speaking to someone in the room and I also heard the voice of a woman responding back to him I cracked the door opened a little bit and I was shocked to see what I did he had a beautiful Christmas tree all decorated and I could see the misty figure of a woman and it certainly wasn't Raven's mom this woman was gorgeous I'm talking Hollywood gorgeous. I then shut the door and told Raven let's go downstairs we need to talk. When we got downstairs I told her what I saw and she said thank god I'm not crazy I saw the same thing the other night and that is why I called you. I ask her if she knew who this woman was and she said no she had never seen her before and I said well evidently she is someone from your dad's past and they both seem to very happy with one another. I told her we need to find out who this woman is and what is going on here so me being the brains of the operation went upstairs again and listened at the door and I could still hear the voices so I flung the door open but when I entered the room there was no Christmas tree and no lady this time and that floored me. Raven came in with me and she couldn't believe it either and she said dad look who has come to visit us for Christmas and he turned and looked at me and said Salem are you here to pull another Christmas prank on me and I smiled and said well you know me I just might because I hear you've been a bah hum bug for several Christmas's now what's going on. He smiled and said you girls always think something is going on I'm just an old man who is set in my ways and now this old man is ready for bed so if you two will excuse me we'll talk more tomorrow and he gave us both a kiss and we said goodnight. When we got back downstairs Raven said okay your the expert what's going on. I said your guess is as good as mine but something is definitely going on Christmas trees don't just appear and disappear with the snap of a finger. I told her we need to do some digging around and find out who this woman is my concern was she was a demon in human form and then Raven said I think I know who she is and I said well you better start talking and she told me I think she was my mom's best friend when they were younger and somehow I think she and my dad were once involved with each other, I said well we need to find out and the sooner the better. We went to bed and all night long I had this on my mind and couldn't sleep and several times I walked down to her dad's room and poked my head in and again there was the Christmas tree but no lady this time. The next morning we got up and her father came down and said I need to talk to you girls about something. He then went on to tell us about this visitor he had been having but only at Christmas and I said wait a minute are you saying your bedroom is haunted and only at Christmas and he said yes, and Salem this is where you come in. I know the abilities you have I know how you can cross over into the other world and I want you to take me back to Christmas past. I said you want me to do what ? He said I want you to take me back to Christmas past one more time I have such fond memories of my childhood Christmas's and teenage Christmas's. I said is this woman apart of your past Christmas and he said yes she is and she said if you could bring me back to a Christmas past that I could see her in human form just like when we were younger. I then asked him what does she look like when you see her now and he said she is very misty and I want to see her in real form will you please do this for me take me back to Christmas past and maybe this will help me get over the bah hum bug syndrome will you do this for me please Salem. I said okay but how does this woman know I can bring you back to Christmas past and he laughed and said Salem your well known in both worlds well I had to laugh with him on that myself and I told him I would do it but there were some things I needed to do first. He gave us both a kiss and said okay. I told Raven is he serious and she said yes he is will you do this for him you know he can pay you very well and I said it's not about the money I don't care about that I care about you and your dad so I will do it, but you need to know this might not work the way he wants it to but if you want me to do it I will and she said please if there is a small chance that my dad will smile again please do it and I said okay let's go talk to your dad. We went upstairs and I told him okay Scrooge you win when do you want to do this and he smiled and said how is tonight and I said I tonight it is. I told him you need to rest all day and take it easy and no talking or speaking with this spirit until tonight do you understand and he said yes. I said okay, then I'll be back at midnight and we will crossover into Christmas past. When we got downstairs I told Raven while we are gone tonight you need to find out anything you can about this woman and she said she would. It was time for us to crossover so I went upstairs and went into her dad's bedroom and I took his hand and told him to open the closet door he did and at the first stroke of midnight we would cross over into his Christmas past I also told him that once we were in I would have to stay with him at all times I said you can approach this woman with each past Christmas we visit but not for long and we have to be back in our world by 3:00 am that is the witching hour and that is when the more evil spirits are around and I can't risk having another person with me at that time he said he understood and on the first stroke of midnight we crossed over. The first Christmas we came to was when he was a young boy and he was able to see his whole family again and spend a little time with his favorite sister and I watched them decorate the tree and have so much fun together. When he was done there we went to the Christmas when he was a teenager and there she was the very same woman I saw in his room and she was gorgeous and it was very clear to me that those two were very much in love with one another. We went on to visit another Christmas with this woman and this was the one they promised to always love one another and always be together. The next Christmas was a bit different she was leaving to go away for the holidays but it was still very clear to me they loved each other however the next Christmas was completely different she wasn't there but his family was and I could see such sadness in his face she was suppose to come home but she never did and that was the Christmas he had got her a diamond ring and was going to ask her to marry him but then he received a phone call from her telling him she wouldn't be home for quite some time and he should move on with his life this man was crushed and I felt so sorry for him but I knew I couldn't step in and help him with this I had to let it play out. When he was done with that Christmas I ask him if he wanted to move on and he said yes I do so I took him to the next Christmas and this is the one where Raven's mother was with him they were happy but I didn't see that same look as I saw with the other woman just a look of content and being comfortable but not the look of passion and love. As we moved on to the next one Rema came back but not to the same man she had left behind he was now married with a pregnant wife and the look on both of their faces broke my heart. He did meet with her later that Christmas night and they were so sad she ask him how could you do this to me and he said I did nothing to you, you were the one who did this you told me you wouldn't be back and that I should move on and that's what I did if you had told me that you were coming back I would have waited for you, you know you are the only woman I will ever love I don't love Marie she was there for me when you left and we struck up a friendship and one thing led to another and she ended up getting pregnant and now I have to do the right thing for the sake of the child. It was very clear to me that Rema was his one true love and somehow their love was still so strong that she was able to come back and visit him on Christmas that's when their love began and when it was the strongest. When he was done I told him it was time for us to go back he said his goodbyes and we crossed back over. On the way I said you really loved her didn't you and he said yes Salem more than life itself and I still love her but Raven is my heart how could I do that to my child she would never understand and this was not her fault it was her mother she tricked me into marrying her and I had to do the right thing even if it did cost me my one true love. He ask me not to mention this to Raven and I said I wouldn't. When we got back everything seemed to be fine and he was in good spirits I spent the rest of the holiday with them and we had a wonderful time. It was a couple of weeks after I got back home I got another distraught phone call from Raven asking me to please come so I did. When I got there she sat me down and told me she had found out that her dad was very sick and may not live much longer and that she had found out everything about Rema and what had happened with her mother and how dirty it was for her mother to do that and then she ask me a question that totally floored me she ask me if I would take her dad back through to Rema. I looked at her and said did you just hear yourself you want me to take your dad back and leave him is that what your asking me to do and she said yes I said no Raven that is crazy do you realize what you are asking me to do your asking me to take a living person to the other side and leave him there this is insane and she began crying and she said please Salem hear me out my dad is dying and this is the last Christmas gift I can give him the gift of eternal happiness the chance to finally be with his one true love it's not fair that he has had to live his whole life loving her and never being able to be with her I owe him this I owe him the chance to have his one true love his one true chance at just a little happiness he needs to be with her Salem please do this for me don't you see this is the only thing left that I can give him please for me. I said does he know this and she said yes he does I said well then let's go see your dad. We went upstairs and walked in and he said Salem are you here to pull another prank on me and I laughed and said yes I am are you ready and he said you lead the way my dear girl I said I will but I want to give you and Raven some time alone together first so when your done let me know and I'll come back. It wasn't long before they called me and when I got there I told them both you do understand what will happen when we do this you can never see each other again I cannot bring you back do you both understand this once I leave and come back and close the door it stays closed and they both agreed. I said well let's take you home and I took him by the hand and once again at the stroke of midnight I walked him through and when we got there she was waiting with open arms and she had on the most beautiful white gown I have ever seen and he still had the ring he had got for her that Christmas and he took it out and placed it on her finger and the two turned and smiled at me and I watched them walk away together at long last. When I got back Raven was waiting and she wanted to know if he went and I said yes he did and you can rest easy now he's with his one true love she smiled and said thank you for allowing me to give my dad the best Christmas present I could ever give him, the chance to finally be happy and be with the one he was always meant to be with. I must say when I left I felt pretty good about what I had done I saw first hand the love those two had for each other and I was able help him finally have true happiness. It's been a year now since that happened and it's Christmas again and as I was putting some presents under the tree I looked out of my window and there was the most beautiful white light shining in my yard it was so bright it almost blinded me I stepped out onto the porch and there stood Rema and Whitley and they both looked at me and smiled and said thank you for giving us the best Christmas we have ever had I smiled and said your welcome and then they were gone. When I went back inside I thought to myself now that is truly Christmas magic.

Beautiful, gmac. You must know some American literature with names like Raven and Salem. Great for the darker side of things. And to go with that mood, I think I like the Christmas Tree image the best, although they're all beautiful. And anything with animals I adore, as long as they're being treated right, which the Rema's ghost ones are.

Thanks Yusef I'm glad you liked it. I loved the Christmas tree as well I just hate it was so big I couldn't get it to size right but I couldn't find another one I liked as good as that one for this story it just fit. I'll have something else up soon. Hug's !

Only a week from today the old fat man is coming,Are we all ready? I have to shop one more time.Iv'e been canning venison,will have 20 pints.Oh and the weather has been warmer than it's should be so very little snow left. .We don't have very many brown Christmases,but this one looks like it will be.Lov looking at all the pretty pictures!!!.Have a good one Everybody!!

Ydoi, I grew up where there was snow, and I remember a few years it being so close to xmas and there was NO SNOW. How that troubled me. But, it seemed that the snow always showed up, even if not 'til xmas eve. So don't lose heart. Maybe snow is on the way.

gmac, I know you're ultra busy, but . . . If you have some down time after you finish your fantastic seasonal threads, maybe you should start a thread giving instructions on how to post gorgeous images. It could be one that we could also practice on, and people who don't want to see our goofs wouldn't have to look at the thread. What do you think?

Hey Yusef for you anything I will be more than glad to do that for you just let me know when you want to start and what you would like it to be called. Also if your interested I had a thread here one time called G's Pics To You where I wrote several stories and posted pics. if your interested you'll have to go back a few pages I'm sure but you could have a peek at that and if you or anyone else would be interested in me doing something else like that I will be more than glad to do that as well I will just start a new one and entitle it something else. I've got to get a few more in here as well and I should have one up later on today or tonight. Just let me know when you want to start on the pic thing and I'll do my best to teach you just keep in mind I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer lol but for you Yusef I'll be more than glad to do it. Hi everyone well this is it I hope everyone has got their shopping done or at least almost done but if there is anyone else like me I always have that last minute dash I mean really it just wouldn't be Christmas without that last minute panic mad dash now would it.lol I'm going to try and get a couple more stories in here for you before the big day. This one today is all in fun so I hope nobody gets offended it's not meant to poke fun at anyone it's just good old fashioned Christmas fun and some of the pics may not be as pretty as some of the others but I have found some that will make up for that also that you will see with this story. Also if nobody objects I'm going to bring our paranormal friend Salem back for one more ghostly magical Christmas although this one will take place in a real haunted hospital which some of you may have seen in my Halloween thread the name of the hospital is Waverly Hills and it is indeed very haunted and trust me when I say this I'm the biggest skeptic in the world but I'm more than convinced that this place is the real deal it's just to well documented and I've seen way too many things about this place to think otherwise. So if nobody objects I'm bringing Salem back for one more Christmas ghost tale. I hope you have enjoyed the stories as much as I have enjoyed doing them for you it has been a real treat. For anyone who is interested I had a thread here one time called G's Pics For You where I wrote stories it is a few pages down but if anyone is interested feel free to find it and take a peek at some of the other stories I've done and if any of you would like for me to start doing something like that again just let me know and I will start a new one. I hope you will enjoy this next story or at least get a good laugh. Thank you for taking the time to stop in and view this thread and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas ! Now on to the story. Howdy Ya'll tired of the same old family Hoo Ha for Christmas too many relatives hanging around eating up all your Christmas goodies and telling you that you ought not to be doing this and you should be doing that, if so then I've got a deal for you yes siree ya'll come on down to the Hillbilly Hideaway this Christmas where we have all of the finest luxurious camping trailers that money can buy all decorated and waiting for you. Also here at Hillbilly Hideaway we have some of the best fun you could ever want to have we have a sports bar with one of them plasma tv's that Bubba and the boys got on sale on Black Friday yeah they said the store had a special sale on these tv's called a five finger discount real nice television so come on down to the sports bar and watch that plasma television along with some of that scary yoke you can sing your favorite Christmas carols and be on center stage and if your lucky after Bubba and the boys get all liquored up they will probably break out into a fight oh yeah it's real entertaining here at Hillbilly Hideaway. Also this year Bubba and the fellas will show you how to decorate your old junk car that's just sitting in the yard taking up space they decorated ours and it's so pretty with all those bright flashy lights on it. Now all of our camper suites are all ready and decorated for you so you don't have to worry about that none. In the main dining hall this Christmas granny has whipped up a bunch of goodies for everybody to enjoy this years menu is chitterlings, fatback, pinto beans, mashed potaters, and brunswick stew that she personally cooked in her big old wash pot over hot coals woo wee talk about some good eating my tummy is a growling like a big old grizzly bear just thinking about it, on the dessert table we have some of them lil Debbie cakes and some of her famous ho ho's boy I'm telling you that lil gal can sure cook up a mean cake and for your drinking pleasure Pa has made up a special batch of his "secret recipe" but be careful that stuff will sneak up on you and knock you off your feet and it's no telling whose camper suite you might end up in. All of our suites come with television's, one of them vcr machines, and a real fine library of vcr tapes to watch like the Dukes of Hazzard box set, Hee- Haw box set, Beverly Hillbillies box set, and my favorite The Waltons box set, also this year we added The Best Of Nascar to the collection, and all the tv's have brand new foiled wrapped coat hanger antenna's for the best reception there's also a pair of brand new pliers next to the tv's so you can change the channels. All of our suites come with a built in out house so you don't have to go out into the cold night air all the beds have electric blankets all you need do is plug yours in while your down at the sports bar having the time of your life if you don't it may not warm up in time for you to get all cozy when you get back from all your frolicking and we wouldn't won't you going to bed cold. Each suite has it's own kerosene heater and we'll make sure it's good and full for you we wouldn't won't you running out heat cause it does get cold here at night. Granny also has her breakfast kitchen all set for everybody so you can come down and have a good old breakfast to get your day started off right. Now we got all kinds of of farm animals here for your little ones to play with so bring your little pards along as well and if you need a babysitter so you can go party at the sports bar granny is more than glad to do it for you but she does have a problem nodding off quite a bit and you may want to warn your youngins that her dentures fall out when she goes to nodding so it don't scare'em so bad when they see it last year she scared one little fella so bad we had to take him over to Doc Adams place for a spell yeah he's still having nightmares about it shame too he was such a happy and cute little fella. Now we'll give you a key to get in to granny's house so you can pick your youngins up when your done and if you have a little too much of Pa's "special recipe" don't you fret none they can stay with granny for the night while you go sleep it off. During the day Bubba and the boys will be more than glad to take you out hunting and fishing and leave your little ones here with me and granny they can help out with the chores like cleaning the hog pen's and milking the cows all the youngins just love that and you can go have a day of fun. If hunting and fishing ain't your thang that's fine too granny and me give cooking lessons at the main house and this year we've added a decorating class so when you get home you can decorate your house like the beautiful camper suites you stay in here. Yes sir it's a ton of fun here at Hillbilly Hideaway. This year Pa is giving lessons on how to make your own "special recipe" but your gonna have to go way out in the woods with him on account he don't want the sheriff to find out where his stash is but don't worry none if we see the sheriff we'll fire two warning shots so you'll have time to get out before the sheriff finds you. This year we are adding beautiful fireworks to watch Bubba and the boys will be doing that every night once they get good and liquored up and we also have some of these real bright pretty ones I think they are called flares that just give off the prettiest pink and orange flame I've ever seen we shoot them off a lot especially when Pa's in the woods with his stash. Our newest attraction this year is the hay ride Pa got a real fine mule named Trigger and he pulls the wagon and you can sit and ride and sing your favorite Christmas carols while Bubba Sr., Bubba Jr., Bubba I, Bubba II, Bubba III and Fourth, yup Fourth is his name Betty Lu got tired of Bubba so she named the last one Fourth. You can sing and dance and cut a shine while they play the guitars, banjos, and jugs and ride you all over the mountain and Pa will stop and let you have a peek at his stash and give you a little drink to warm you up and don't worry we have hot chocolate for your youngins. No need to worry about yur little ones and that Santey Claus fella neither Pa always dresses up and makes sure all the little one's get their Christmas presents under the tree Christmas morning. Now don't this just sound like a Christmas made just for you well then pack your bags and head on down to Hillbilly Hideaway and have the rompinest stompinest redneck Christmas of your life WEE- DOGGIES ! We guarantee you'll have the time of your life and a Christmas like no other so come on down to Hillbilly Hideaway for a good old fashioned Country Christmas. Hi Yusef,

I hope it is okay for you, that I give you a Virtual Christmas Present?

Search over Google photobucket. On that site you can open a free account.
Just give in a Username and a Password and all is done.

At the top right corner it has a search button, you can write in as example: dog. Click on the arrow at the far right.
You see now a lot of dog pictures. Choose one and click on it. Hoover with your mouse at the top of the picture and click on Copy to my album. A new window opens with the title Save a copy of this photo and click on Save. Click on View in your Album. The Picture gets transferred into your album. Now go to the bottom of that picture you see a HTML code. Mark with your left mouse button the text in the button beside it and choose copy with your right mouse click. Paste it into your message. You will see the photo only, after you have sent the message. As Example:

Hi Yusef,

I have only written down the basics, which gets you started. Gaye can show you the rest, which is actually the more interesting part, like posting your own pics, cropping, resizing, animation etc., therefor I don't think her feelings get hurt. She has in the moment so much work with this Christmas thread, that I am pretty sure she will be fine with that. Gaye was also the lovely Lady, that gave me the instructions about the animated pics and I am so grateful for that.

Have fun with the pics! The instructions sound more complicated, then it is. It goes really quick and it is similar to the Time Management Games, you use a certain order, where you by doing get quicker and at the end use practically no time for solving it

Thanks also for your wishes and Summer yes, we got now slowly warmer weather after a very bad low. My guests, they keep me busy, but I enjoy it as well. Although the day has even less hours, then before , time flies now, before it was running!!! You too have a beautiful Season Holiday and enjoy your days!
