I've started playing the game and it's great. Even better than no 1. However, my bonus package won't work. Every time I try to open it, I get a not-responding message. As this contains the walkthrough, I'm a bit stuck now on a puzzle (there are no skips). The one in the engine room of the submarine.

Anyone got any ideas how to solve this? Also how do I get to redownload just the bonus pack part?

i am having the same problemm...kinda sucks to pay 20 bucks for no bonus,s

ENGINE ROOM PUZZLE:

The maximum capacities of the gauges are 5, 8, and 6 from left to right. The numbers 3-4-6 scratched above indicate that the gauges should contain 3, 4, and 6 units of liquid, from left to right. The 2 top buttons below each gauge are used to fill and drain. The lower button transfers liquid to the gauge on its right. The rightmost gauge will transfer its contents equally between the other two.

NAVIGATION ROOM PUZZLE:

Set the coordinates for the Hidden World by choosing the 6 correct metallic cards and placing them in their proper positions. The coordinates for the Hidden World are on page 13 of the journal. As you place the cards on the slots, the markings of each row and column will be combined on the 5 black areas. These should look like the symbols on the 5 coordinates.

I like the demo but will wait until this is resolved to get the full game.

I have downloaded The Clockwork Man - The Hidden World Premium Edition and have successfully played a portion of the game under both FunPass login and as a purchased game at full retain price. In each case the bonus material was accessible and it worked perfectly, and all of our testing demonstrated the same behavior. Therefore I'm puzzled by the comments that the bonus material cannot be accessed or it isn't working as expected.

Can you please provide more details? Please tell us the steps you took in attempting to open the bonus material, which is contained in its own file on the desktop ("The Clockwork Man - The Hidden World Interactive Bonus Features.exe") and the text of any error message(s) you received.

im stuck in the same place "the puzzle for the coordinance"...looks like we paid 19.99 for a 6.99 game...no access to the walkthrough either....and no skip button

How does the Premium Edition sold here differ from the Ultimate Edition sold at the developer site, Total Eclipse? Mostly I want to know if one has more bonus play than the other.

Also, why is the Mac version release being delayed? When can we expect it? Thank you.

I have been waiting for this game to come out. Started playing it using my funhouse pass. The game keeps shutting off. I use windows vista 64 bit. I set the game for compatibily with xp. Still shuts off during game play. Now what??

I am stuck on chapter 5. It has me find the necklace, which is by the wagon, but it is not there. I use the hints and they say it is,but I dont see it. Is this a gliche or do I just need to keep on looking?

My bonus material isn't working either. I clicked on the icon on my desk top for the bonus material and this is what it says and I quote: The Clock Man - The Hidden World has quit working. A problem caused this program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. What the heck? LOL! Oh and I'm playing this using Fun Pass thank goodness because if I would of bought this I would of being HIGHLY TICKED OFF and demanding a refund! I'm stuck at the safe as well as I also got the clue but can't match the symbols either. I knew them all but one.

Yeah I wasn't too impressed with the first part to this as it was just OKAY but thought I'd give the sequel here a whirl and I was highly impressed until I got to the first puzzle trying to arrange the pieces (rotate them). Too much "picky clicky" madness as I never had so much trouble in other games putting puzzles together, rotating the pieces but finally got through that but now stuck at the safe. Yeah and I also don't care for the no skip option either.

Okay I finally figured this out as you can use the hint button which I didn't realize it was available for the puzzles and you have to choose them in this order:

whale, ape, cross, trojan horse, rabbit, and then the raven - it worked for me to open the safe. I hope this helps.

The books you need to highlight are 832619 the numbers on the postcard in order they are
moby dick- whale picture
origin of species- monkey
bible- cross
iliad- trojan horse
Alice in wonderland- bunny
the raven- raven

I am using windows 7 op system and also am getting the same error message as the presvious poster. I get as far as logging in for my fun pass when clicking the icon on my desktop the icon appears on my taskbar then it quits working. i would redownload the whole thing but at 400MB it's not an easy task.

I have played the game and also gotten into the bonus materials. At first I couldnt find it, but then I noticed it was directly on my desktop and not in my gamehouse games manager.

The game goes through a lengthy developed and thoroughly tested approval process for PC users. This means that the code for the game and the content is 'locked down'.

Once that occurs we see our first Mac build of the game. Since Mac admin/non admin functionality is different from Windows, we run the game through a gauntlet of Mac tests We do full/multiple play throughs on PPC and Intel based Macs here in our lab.

Having played the game literally hundreds of times, my record for completing the game is 41 minutes.

It also makes me happy that you are finding the puzzles challenging. If you think the submarine puzzles are hard...wait till you get to the last chapter! That being said...I have to get back to Mac testing so we can deliver it a.s.a.p.

What is the trick in chapter 6, to activate the desert contraption. I have tried and tried. Even used the interactive walkthrough and followed it exactly and I can not get the pipes to light up correctly after placing the tiles in the right places. Is the walkthrough correct?

I'm stuck, too--same place you are...And the Bonus package does NOT open!

I just finished the game and did enjoy it although I found the hidden objects to be tooooo touchy about where a click would be accepted. If I had been penalized for the extra clicks I would not have finished the games.

Loved the graphics in the scrolling scenes! Story was interesting too.

I never did get the bonus file to work, if it is ever fixed I would like to know so I can take a look at what is there.

This represents, for me, the best game yet...Challenging, beautiful graphics and easy-to-follow guides and hints. It's a winner and will go down in history (far beyond my own) as one of the most enjoyable games.

Because of problems opening the Bonus program I scoured the net and found Walkthrough at Gamezebo. I only had to consult it three times as my wise, excruciatiatingly-patient partner used his prowess to the fullest. Thank you, Gamehouse, for the fun!

P.S. I've been searching since 1990's for a great DOS game called "Tubes." Can you guys re-invent it? And what happened to Microsoft's JEZZBALL? I have it on a wrecked floppy disk...So sad that I can't find the original version online. Go, Gamehouse, Go!

UPDATE: Hello again, everyone!

Our engineers have isolated what they believe is the cause of the issue that prevented some of you from accessing the interactive bonus features of The Clockwork Man - The Hidden World Premium Edition. They are working on a permanent fix that will result in an updated version of the game. When that is in place we will advise you in the Forums and we will also email you instructions for obtaining the updated version.

In the mean time we have determined a workaround that should allow you to open the interactive bonus material and enjoy all the features it contains. Please try the following steps:

1. Double Click on the My Computer icon (typically on your desktop) to open it.
2. Double Click on the Local Disk C:
3. Open (double click) the GameHouse Games folder.
4. Locate the folder titled The Clockwork Man - The Hidden World and double click on it to open it.
5. Locate the file 'The Clockwork Man - The Hidden World Interactive Bonus Features.exe' and double click on it to launch the executable file.

After launching the executable file for the interactive bonus features the program should open after a short delay (on my Windows XP machine it took about 10 seconds) and you should have full access to the interactive bonus features.

Please try the above steps and let us know your results. Meanwhile we will continue working on the permanent solution in an updated version and we'll keep you posted on that progress.

I'm in the proceess right now of REDOWNLOADING THE WHOLE GAME because the WHOLE GAME is GONE from my computer.

Yes you read this right... GONE!

And YES even though I'm playing using FUN PASS, WELL I AM TICKED!

Update: Game is installed and saved my progress where I had left off but in spite of taking the steps suggested I still get the same exact message as what I posted earlier in this thread in regards to bonus material.

I'm not sure if you followed the steps I outlined immediately above your post, but nothing in those instructions would have resulted in the game being deleted from your computer. Hello 'justcntry77' -- Thank you for following our suggested steps to access the interactive bonus features of this game. I'm sorry that the process did not work for you. Um the game itself was already GONE before I had a chance to follow your most recent instructions you had posted in getting the bonus material before a permanent solution could be found.

Before I realized the game was gone as I didn't pay much attention to all the icons on the computer, I clicked on the icon on the desk top to see if the issue had been resolved with the bonus content and said the short cut had been deleted. As this icon was still on my desk top

So I look at all the icons on my computer and that's when I realized the game itself was GONE.

So I REINSTALLED the game and did the instructions in your most recent post in regards to the bonus content and I still get the same message when I first started posting here.

Well I'm here to tell ya Bill that in close to 200 game reviews for the Gamehouse here which doesn't even make a dent into the amount of games I've played here as I haven't reviewed every game I've played or elsewhere and this is the first game I've ever played that is actually starting to give me a headache.

continued since ran out of room:

This game started off to really WOW me as the graphics are far the best I've seen in any game. I'm even enjoying the story. It's way better than the first one however the game play is one of THE MOST unfriendly I've ever come across. As I mentioned earlier, the jig saw puzzle, rotating the pieces. I knew where to put them, but good gravy, way too much "picky clicky" MADNESS. This also is to be said about the items to locate as the majority so far have been able to find with no problem , but again PICKY, CLICKY MADNESS. Oh and the hints, takes FOREVER to recharge as I was actually able to smoke a whole cigarette. Yes, it's THAT SLOW.

Oh and I appreciate that I can call however I'm not one for long distance, which I'm sure is long distance call, cell phone as that is all I have chit chat so I think I will hold off until you and the Game House techs find a permanent solution for the bonus material.

I do want to thank you and the game tech people though for your efforts in trying to resolve this which I'm sure you are working hard to do so.

One more little thing, I sure hope my comments get forward to the developers of this game as like I said a good game but has MAJOR issues sorry to say but it does and I also don't like that you can't skip puzzles. Sometimes the hints were helpful, sometimes not... AT LEAST FOR ME.

Hello All,
I am just starting to play the game and I cannot get the levers to move on the control panel so the gates will come down. Whenever I try to change the levers it takes me back to the beginning of the scene.
Any help would be appreciated. I would love to buy the game if I can get it to work for me.

As the judge says on the "People's Court" ... "Stick a fork in me I am so done." I'm so DONE with this game as I've had to reinstall/uninstall it SEVERAL times and the last posting saying that this was resolved well NOT FOR ME. I think I've spent more than enough time on this game. Actually more than any game I've ever played and well my time with this game is now "OH SO DONE." Way, way, and I do mean WAY TOO MUCH MADNESS FOR ME. I think I've jumped through enough hoops to try to get to play this. I'm sure I will receive some "unhelpful votes" for this game since I'm not going to rave how wonderful it is which is fine. This game could of been wonderful however WAY TOO MANY ISSUES that need to be forwarded to the developers of this game.

Thanks for your efforts Bill and tech people but I'm so done with this game.

OK, I followed the instructions and uninstalled/reinstalled the game;no joy! I get the same error as before.

So, I'm at the Farmhouse, trying to help this nice lady by ridding her of her imp, but first I have to trap the squirrel. The walkthrough tells me I need the cage, but the cage did not go into my inventory when I found it as a hidden object. Any ideas?


Never mind, I got it. I had to find all three inventory objects before they were added to my inventory as a group. Please excuse the ring.

I am having trouble getting this game to start. I just bought and downloaded it yesterday. I went to play it this morning, and it won't load completely. It starts to load, and then stops there. It doesn't load the rest of the way and I have to use task manager to get out of it. The screen is black and all I see is two gears moving as the game attempts to load. I also can't access the bonus features at all. Has anyone else had this problem?
I see where other people can't access the bonus features and that they are working on that.

Can anyone help me figure out what to do so that I can play this game? It looks great, and I can't wait to play it!
