how does the free game of the day work ?

do you have to be a member to download the free game of the day? second question after you download it, do you need to register or do you just start playing?

Hello caverly, you have a strange but beautiful sounding user name

Since you can use these forums you already have the basic membership to use these free games Simply login, visit each day and download and install your game. Thats it. no need to log into your games.

Please note that these games are supported by ads so dont be surprised if you get a commercial break between levels.

my user name is my child hood street i used to live on... lol but thanks

i am a member yes but one problem for some reason when i go to play the games it states i have no priveledges at this time, i am a member but i am not paying the monthly fee of 19.99 a month anymore and my account is not active . so i am confused now as to what i do

Hi there, caverley-I'm not tech support but I think all you need to do is when the game comes up click on the 'free trial' tab and play now button. I do this each time with out any problems, and it is true you will get ads thru out the game. No need to register the game.

You don't need to be a member or log in to download the game of the day. All you do is click on the game and then click on 'download free'. If it doesn't start downloading, you either reclick on download now or click on the yellow bar at the top of the screen and click on allow download. VERY EASY!

first of all thanks for the replys.. so let me get this straigh, after downloading the game what do i click? I already have 4 games that i have downloaded in the past

caverley, bring up the game (double click on the game icon) you will see three tabs at the top of the game screen. Just click on the 'free trial' tab (on right) than the PLAY NOW button and you should be good to go.......that's it!

I would never think or say that about you or anyone, I have needed help a time or two, or more, when it comes to these things. Just glad you are able to play your games now.

I would also add- sometimes badly, or not at all.
Sometimes the coding run commercials works better than others. Sometimes they come between levels, but sometimes they interrupt. In one HOG they always hit every time you had exactly 2 objects left. The game then skipped to the next level as if you had finished.
There has been more than a handful of games that absolutely will not run for me - wont even start. Some crash almost every commercial, some I have to disable my firewall, others happily run with firewall intact.
I have given up on their tech support. Being the games are free, they really don't care. I have spent months for one game, they repeat the same canned answer then ask me something I just answered. They have never fixed any of the issues.

So its just what it is, free, and it may or may not work. And it may work and then suddenly stop working. There's always more people to see the ads, apparently.
Just my experiences, ymmv.

sorry *the coding TO run commercials

had to edit to fit in their 1000 character limit and missed that when I rewrote it to make it shorter.
Bitter? No, just frustrated and resigned. There were some really interesting ones I looked forward to playing that never even started. (Reinstalling that day does not help)

Let's see, viewing a few ads for a FREE game-or paying for it to play? I'll take free any day, thanks GH. The time outs don't bother me that much.
