Uninstall Real Arcade Games

I still had about 10 games on my computer when real arcade moved to Gamehouse. I no longer play some of these games and want to take them off. I need to know how to uninstall them now. The games are not listed on the add/remove program? So, does that mean I have to delete them from My download folder or my Games folder on the C drive? Does that get rid off everything? The uninstall and the download? This seems to be so much of a hassle now. It was alot easier when it was Real Arcade.

I asked a similar question recently but didn't contact support. What I have done is just delete the obvious file then run a registry cleaner to clear anything that gets unconnected. I do agree it is nicer to have a one-spot location for the game to do it all.

I have learned that some game saved folders may never be deleted even if you used the Windows uninstall. So game designers may have done that intentionally or not. I was surprised to download an old game and found my progress saved from when I last played it, three years ago. So now I make a note of where the games might be saved. It could be located in a number of places.

click on real arcade game
find your game click uninstall
or
my computer
local disc

open folder, find the game you want to uninstall then

I think the OP had the same issue I had. The uninstall file had gone missing. So there is no automatic way to uninstall. Removing the folders and removing where the game is saved, then a registry cleaner, seems to work. This was the issue for me. There is no Real Arcade uninstall option as there is no longer a console that works with my games.

However, even if you do use windows uninstall, the saved game folders might not be included with the game's uninstall applet and be located as subfolder in a hidden folder. This part may have to be done manually.

crochetinc,

Definitely even this chat option is more work for the user than any php or simple machines chat. Hope it gets better than this to create and track subscriptions and be aware when there's a response. Truly it sucks now.

Like you, I also had a couple games that would not work after the change over. No idea why since some games still play as they always did and remained unlocked. Could be some corruption developed in the data files.

What I did, was log into my GH account and from the Profile, click on My Games. Then download the ones that are giving problems. Install them one by one. And after installing one, take the middle tab and click to register your game. This has worked for two I had to reinstall. One game was "retired' from RA/GH although I still see the game listed by other vendors so was not available for download.
