Trojan in "Pahelika: Revelations" - Exploit.Win32.IMG-ANI.b (Kaspersky 2012)

Unfortunately, Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 found 3 occurrences of the Trojan called Exploit.Win32.IMG-ANI.b in the game "Pahelika: Revelations."

Sorry you're having trouble with this game. Our games are safe. Therefore, I request you to update your anti-virus software, including virus definitions, then perform a full system scan. This will eliminate almost all false alerts. If you still believe you are infected with a virus or worm, visit your anti-virus manufacturer's website for removal information.

Kaspersky is pretty well known for its false alerts.

I actually DID update my virus definitions BEFORE I downloaded the game. I actually downloaded "World's Greatest Places Mahjong" and didn't have a problem. But then I updated my definitions and when I tried to download "Pahelika: Relevations" Kaspersky flagged it as having a Trojan so the game actually never installed.

But in response to the other comment, Kaspersky catches A LOT of stuff that other antivirus programs don't!!! So I wouldn't necessarily assume it's a "false alarm."

I was just posting because the information to let GameHouse know that the game got flagged as containing a Trojan.

As yusef says, it's a 'false positive'. It simply means there are game files in Pahelika that have names that are similar to known trojan file names, similar enough to cause an alert. Don't worry, there are no trojans in any GH games!
