I'm with everyone here. This has been an unbelievably unprofession switch... we were always told that if we were having problems with games we could re-download them from the site. How were we meant to keep back-up copies of games in any legal way? I've only had problems since the merger, and now some games just don't run properly (e.g. Garden defense seems to have lost all the users and therefore has started from scratch as though none of us have ever played it before), and others it tells me are no longer available. In some cases if I hit the "play your real arcade games here" link, I find playable versions on what seems to be the old Real Arcade pages... in which case what's the point of having the "My Games" list on Game House, where it tells me what games I have, and have purchased fully, but won't let me play them from the list? What a shambles.

I agree. Thanks a bunch real arcade from all your loyal buyers. Game House apparently doesn't care at all about us. I'm like blindshadow, my computer crashed and i was in the process of redownloading my games too. This merger is confusing as heck and i'm getting a headache even trying to find anything. I'm done buying new stuff after my game pass expires. Game house STINKS!!!!

The issue where some customers are not seeing all of their games migrated from RealArcade.com has been fixed. The reason not all the games were showing is because the pagination at the bottom of the page was offset and invisible.

Your games did indeed migrate but anyone that had more than 10 games in their library were unable to see the other pages of your catalog. You should now see pages at the bottom of My Games.

Also note that there is a list of 20 games that were not migrated from RealArcade due to technical issues these games have with the GameHouse DRM. you can find that list here:

http://www.gamehouse.com/forums/support-forum/Know...coming-from-Real-Arcade-id1682

If you still have some games that are missing from your MyGames from before moving over to GameHouse you should contact Customer Service immediately. You can call them at 866-733-1228

Even when my RealPass account didn't get cancelled properly, it was not an issue getting a refund. Looks like the days of good customer service went out the window with this deal.
I have never been so disillusioned by this merger. I loved my realarcade membership. I have been trying for two days just to purchase a game with my Gamepass and cannot do it. I used to visit Gamehouse frequently and try out new games. I cannot even purchase a game now and have downloaded the same game 4 times and it still doesn't work, and to beat that, I got charged 7 bucks for nothing but hours of frustration and loss of some of my favorite games. Customer service, what joke. Sent email yesterday, no response.

I had 16 games at RA. Only 9 were moved until I just checked a minutes ago and they are all there now. I am a happy GH'er now. I was worried I was losing them too. I got 2 e-mails saying they had all been moved and weren't.

When you log in, it gives you the option of getting to your RA games..

My problem is I have purchased a new computer and went to my games to redownload my games to this computer. However, all it will give me is the 60 minute demo and the option to buy the game (which says I have purchased the game already). Am I in the wrong place or doing something wrong?

My problem is, when I try to download any game - even the one's that I've purchased thru RealArcade, nothing happens. So I've essentially lost everything. I think you guys lied to us. You said nothing would change, and it most definetly has for me: I've lost my games, I cannot download any games, and customer service is lacking. It's sad, but I'm gonna have to cancel my membership.

To register your games there is a register tab at the top of the window that shows your free trial time. Just log in with your username and password for GameHouse.com

I am not sure what I think about it. At first, I didn't have my Real Arcade games at all, just Gamehouse ones. Then it was the other way around. Now I have both, but I feel the selection is less than what it was when they were separated. The choices are bad, they are slow at posting new games and not competetive at all with another club I am currently with, which seems to have to have all the latest Hidden Object games only I can't afford them all. Here, I have two credit, since the merger, but can't find any HO games I want. They really should have access to newer and more up to date games of all kinds. At least you would think so with the two big names tied together. If it doesn't get better, this will be my first and last month with the combined new site.

My FunTicket credits show in the upper left of the home page when I'm logged in. Maybe Gamepass credits are not shown?

I can't imagine that's by design. I'd try clearing your browser's cookies and signing in again just to be sure.

I agree I had 5 games were no longer avaiable

I SPY Spooky Mansion Deluxe
Little Shop Big City
A Series of Unfortunate Events
I SPY Fantasy
Mystery Case Files Huntsville

I waited for a couple days heard nothing so went back & checked & their was a reply on site to my ticket. Their reply the 2 I Spy games were over 18 months old. They gave me 1 credit for those 2 games. Like this is an excuess for not giving us what I paid fore. I thanked them for the free game said it was a nice start but they stilled owed me fore 4 more games as it was my fault they were no longer avaiable. Their response to other 4.
I apologize for the inconvenience, however I have determined that this game was no longer available on RealArcade before your account transferred.
In this case, unfortunately, we cannot issue the game to you since it has not been available for some time

Isn't this just so very interesting. Here I was, playing the fireflies game, or the jellyfish game at .21 cents/game --with a $23 + credit..one day, and the next, I can't even find the darn thing. So, what the heck? The darn Fireflies ate the jellyfish?
This merger was not very well integrated I'd say. And, RealArcade should have given us the option of having our balance returned and then letting us reinvest it with GH--if it looked like GH suited us. Boy, I hope those RA *()*)(^)&^s get eaten by sand flies while they are sitting on the beach drinking Pina Coladas at our expense. (This is the I promised "I wouldn't swear version--") Penni

I've been reading these posts. Wow. This is a real mess for us the consumers. Surely RA/GH didn't plan it to be so disgusting for us...???? RA has always been easy to work with. From my point of view, Spintop ought to be gearing up for a lot of new customers. I'm still looking for the 'skills' games to spend my $23 credit with RA.

drjswriter - Im wondering when you speak of the fireflies and jellyfish game are you talking about the RealArcade Skill games powered by King.com? If that is the case you should be able to go to www.king.com and log-in and see your credits. That worked for me when I tried to play my skill games.

A Cheerful Hello,
I had a similar problem when I set up GameHouse, in fact GameHouse indicated one of my games no longer existed. I signed back in to RealArcade and found the games I could not find on GameHouse, including the game they indicated no longer existed. So for now I use both sites. I believe these problems will be resolved soon.
Transitions are tough even in the real world

It is possible to lose your games. I lost all 122 games that I had bought over the years from real one arcade. Called customer service today and they were rude as can be saying basically that there is nothing they can do about it. I've also had problems redownloading. The game will redownload and play for me right away, but every game I've tried to reopen and play won't load without me redownloading again, losing any saved spot, and starting from scratch. Gamehouse SUCKS beyond belief and I can't believe real one arcade sold to this loser company. Had issues once in a while with real arcade and they were always great to deal with, which is why I was their loyal customer for 122 purchases. I feel ripped off. Gamehouse is the worst site I have ever dealt with my entire life.

Your real arcade games are still installed on your computer. you can find them in the start menu under "games". and you can play them from http://www.gamehouse.com/myrealarcadegames

Posted on Fri Nov 20 12:44:48 PST 2009

Hello everyone.

I wanted to jump in here and clear up some confusion about missing games after moving your account over from Real Arcade. The confusion is the result of some poor messaging on our part and we do apologize for any confusion we may have caused as a result. Allow me to explain in more detail.

When we started planning our merge of the Real Arcade and GameHouse sites we wanted to make sure that the two sites had as many of the same games as possible to avoid anyone losing their purchased games. To this end we started a project to make sure that as many of the Real Arcade games we currently supported were released on GameHouse.com with the GameHouse DRM. For the most part this project was successful. Out of some 200 games that were available on Real Arcade but not on GameHouse all but 20 were successfully moved onto GameHouse. That is the original "games not supported" list that is available at the top of this forum.

The issue that we failed to predict came as a result of 2 circumstances.

1. GameHouse.com does not have the same "MyGames" page and function that Real Arcade had. There was a page called My Games but it behaved more as a purchased game history instead of as a launcher for already installed games. The original Real Arcade MyGames is still available as at www.gamehouse.com/myrealarcadegames but we did a poor job of messaging where this was.

2. There is a large list of games (another 200-300 games I believe) that had been discontinued from RealArcade.com before we merged the two sites. Some of these games have been unavailable for years but we did not message this well on Real Arcade. These games were not part of our merge project and in many cases we were quite unable to re-release those games. Some are old games from companies that are long out of business. In those cases we are unable to get updated versions of those games to release with the GameHouse DRM. Others are games from companies that we are obligated to no longer carry due to an expired contract or license with the original developer.

These two circumstances created the perception that some people lost their installed games when they moved over to the GameHouse.com. Some customers expected to go to www.gamehouse.com/my-games and see all of their installed game ready to play just like the Real Arcade site. That's an understandable expectation. When those customers saw less games than they remember and links to redownload instead of a "play" button they (understandably) perceived that they had to redownload/repurchase their games and that many games that were installed and playable just a few moments before were now gone forever.

Fortunately the reality is not so bad. Your games are still installed and can still be played just as they were before. There is no need to redownload or reinstall those games and even games that are no longer available for download or purchase can still be played as long as they are installed on your PC. There is a thread at the top of this forum (Where are my Real Arcade Games) that has instructions to help you locate your games. Customer Service has been given instructions to replace some games with coupon codes. Mainly this is relevant to the original 20 games we mentioned not making the move from Real Arcade. This also includes games that were discontinued recently and still fall under the Real Arcade Terms of Service for the affected customers.

For the remainder, I am sincerely sorry for the confusion that has come from this. In your case the game that is missing has even been unavailable on Real Arcade for a year or more. If your game is still installed you may continue to play it. If you need to download and install a new copy, that game will not be available and likely has not been available for some time.

In the very near future we will be making some changes to the GameHouse My Games page to make it a little more obvious where to go to access your installed games. We're adding some new instructional pages that go through all the possible steps to locate your lost games. We are also publishing the complete list of discontinued games from Real Arcade (with dates) to make it easier to tell when a certain game was dropped from our service.

Again, our apologies for this mess. I hope that my explanation makes things more clear to affected customers. I will continue to watch this thread and forum and respond to questions when I can.

I find it very, very interesting that Real Arcade has discontinued a couple hundred games. Other sites still have those games available. I lost 6 games. I have written 3 emails already about this and nobody has answered. I can repurchase 4 out of my 6 games from Big Fish Games. All I want is a refund on my 6 purchases. This is ridiculous. I refuse to call customer support as I can't understand the Indian language. I enjoyed those 6 games and want to purchase them somewhere else but don't have the funds to do so. This merger was poorly planned. Real Arcade used to be the best site around but they've fallen way behind. It's really too bad.

Your missing games probably include some Big Fish 1st party games (i.e. they were developed by Big Fish Games) like "Mystery Case Files - Prime Suspects". We are unable to provide those games to you because we are no longer allowed to. They were discontinued on Real Arcade almost 3 years ago. Same goes for GameHouse games on Big Fish. You won't find them there.

Also, I'd like to ask again that we keep the commentary regarding the nationality of our customer support agents within reason.

I do have to make a comment about "Also, I'd like to ask again that we keep the commentary regarding the nationality of our customer support agents within reason." This in itself is enough to lose some customers because it is hard to speak with these people and get your point across nevermind trying to understand what they are saying on top of the real kicker ---> this is the reason we have so many unemployed here in the US because people like you are outsourcing our jobs and giving us the

if you want this company to give you a refund for your taken away games, don't waste your time. I fought with the customer service for hours, and all I got was 3 credits for 13 games lost. I was told that in order to get the rest back I would have to remain a game pass customer. I was told that the reason we would get 2 credits each month instead of 1 was to give credits for games lost. In other words, for a person like me, lost 13 games permanently, I'd have to remain a PAYING customer for over a year to get compensated.

Which game? How long have you been waiting for a response?

Lots of games , too many to list here.
Well in answer to your question, first off you did buy the game, but who really owns it ? U , Me or the others ? As I was told, I paid a price to hav e use of the game, I do not OWN the game ! Now that is not a good way to run a business, if I go to wal mart or target any plce that sells games on a disk I own the game, so what I downloaded it from a site, I PAID COLD HARD CASH FOR THE GAME, so in my eyes I OWN The game, now convince the bug guys if you can okay ???

Well I am sure they will reply soon. As you said in another thread, it's probably been a busy day.

Like you, can't find any credits. The merger sucks! They could at least set up the home page as it was in Real Arcade. I can find most of my games, but when I download one to try, can't find it again should I stop with time left on the game. Used to they would show up in my downloads, with the remaining time, now, they are no where to be found. I hate this new merger crap. One would think it would be totally better, not totally worse!

i, too, am FURIOUS regarding this realarcade/gamehouse situation. all of the games i purchased are from realarcade. i now find that 9 out of my 22 games are no longer available. i have them already downloaded, but because of the way realarcade offers its games, you DO NOT download the install file. this means you have no control over reinstalling a game if you happen to buy a new computer or reinstall your OS. it must be done from their website. sure, you could go into the "mygames" folder on your computer and copy the individual game folders, but the game is not likely to work if you copy that game folder to a new computer. it would be the equivalent of going into "program files" and copying, for example, the "microsoft office" folder and trying to paste that onto another computer. i'm understandably outraged as the next time i reinstall my OS--which i do every few months--i won't be able to install these games, games that I OWN!!!

I think everyone is missing the point. Since the merger, gamehouse has been able to continue to collect your monthly payments. In their view, everything is working fine. Why should they help you? They already have your money. It is your fault you purchased games you expected to be able to play. It's your fault that you purchased games your new provider could not support. It's your fault you can't understand broken english. Let's just be happy we can see links to games we can't play, click on support links to nowhere. I'm sure your ISP is just blocking your access. GH/RA cannot be held accountable for this. After all, it is not their fault or responsibility. Hope your enjoying your "extra" game credit.

I totally agree with you. I have 10 games I bought between 2003 and 2009 that they say is no longer available for download. Plus you can't play any game for an hour without those annoying ads which we never had with real arcade. They say the games are yours forever once you buy them well apparantly that is false advertisement. I am pretty sure I will be canceling my membership and going elsewhere. I wrote to them and told them about this and all they said is we are sorry for any inconvience this may have caused they didnt offer to give me back any money or credits for the 10 games. They could care less......

Could someone please explain to me what ads they are talking about? I have a lot of realarcade/gamehouse games and in the full version I see no ads (that I have purchased). If I were to download the free game for the day then I would see ads, because those games are ad -supported. You can play the full version but you see ads.

I just don't understand what some are talking about, because I have never seen an ad in a gamehouse or realarcade game that I purchased.

In order to get stuff done lyineyes you have to ask them. Ask them for credits/coupons or whatever. I did and it worked. They never offered me anything either till I asked.

Hello Eacrosley,

I was going through the forums and see you have an issue with launching games after the merger. I sent you a private email message due to account information. Go ahead and reply to it when you receive it. Glad to see the missing games issue has been resolved.

Thank you,

Erik

i'm responding to this so other customers know it is not true. Nothing was ever resolved for me like you said. And, I did recieve an email from someone, but it was one of the rudest emails I've ever recieved. I did reply to it. Wonder if you got it, or cared. Probably got it, but definitely don't care!!! Don't tell lies about my service please.

You know what!! I don't even care anymore. I am somewhere else where they have new games everyday and treat their customers like royalty.
I am just WAITING FOR THE NEXT MORTIMER THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OUT TODAY!!!!!
But once again another dissapointment from gamehouse/realarcade.
AS SOON AS I GET MY HANDS ON MORTIMER, I AM SOOOOOOOOO OUT OF HERE.
PEACE OUT

I will admit that there were a tremendous # of glitches during the changing of the guard. I also admit freely that I was quite tempted to toss my system into a roaring bonfire during the "birthing" process of the gamehouse+real arcade child. However, the support team - yes they are from India - i have no issue with - that was as helpful, polite, and efficient. They were hindered due to the fact that they were also actively engaged in working out the bugs as they popped up. Anyone who has tested a beta program can verify the nightmare task of configuring the code to run in quite a few platforms. I tend to get a bit peeved that companies insist on releasing products in beta stage - but i do understand the situation. At any rate we all survived it and have settled in to enjoy the games.
