mortimer beckett and the lost king HELP

So there I was searching for new games to play and saw the link to download the "early release" of this game. As a Funpass member I was able to do so, however, I get to the opening screen where you enter your name as a new player and after that I get a windows error message saying the game has just unexpectedly stopped working.

Anyone else out there have a solution to the problem? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the game. GAH!

Any help is appreciated... Thanks

ps... the jigsaw crashed on me too saying "an exception occurred executing dynamic code" wtf does that mean and how do I fix it?

Where did you find the link for an early download? I'd like to try it too. But I already know I'm going to buy it.

Goot question, ll! Maybe as an "early release" you got the beta version w/ some bugs still in it? Although it is released as a full version elsewhere. I think I'll go and download a demo and see if I have any probs.

Where did you find the link to download the game? To my knowledge, the game is not released yet. If you cannot find the download link on www.gamehouse.com using search or browsing the site, it means there is no such game available. I'm afraid we cannot help you until the game is released

I do this everyday. I get on the site and the first thing I click is "Hidden Object" on the left sidebar under genres. Today, I looked and scrolled down and it's right there under pretty in pink: Mortimer Beckett and the Lost King Premium Edition. So, I clicked the little green download arrow and downloaded the game. As far as I'm concerned... that's an early release.

So again, any help on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Strange... I still don't see it. It just takes you to the "coming soon" page. No green download button except for wallpapers. Wait... I take that back! It DOES download when you click on the arrow button. I was clicking on the title link. Bless my soul.

Edit: Okay... I downloaded it (yes!) and had no crashing at all signing in, so not sure what caused it for you. Haven't gotten to a jigsaw yet... just collecting the first items in the town. No problems so far. Oh boy, this is gonna be fun.

I had a friend come over and I asked him. He said it might be a registry error. I'm downloading something to (hopefully) fix it. Enjoy the game! I'm glad you found it.... proves I'm not insane, LOL.

I know! It says "release date Jan.1". Wonder if it's been downloadable all that time? Hope you get your prob fixed... it does sound like a system error.

I'm having the same problem. Did your friends' fix work? If so, can you share? Thanks!

I had the same problem as Obsydia. Signed in on player's name page, game stops working. What is the registry error and how do you fix it? Some people at BF say they downloaded and played the hour.

i was able to download and play and also purchased with a fun ticket. this is strange.

I actually did the same thing, but I can't play mine. I'm getting the same error as the person above. When I type in "Player1" the game closes and I get an error.

I actually got it to work after I deleted the registry entries for GameHouse and RealArcade. I went into the registry editor and removed all instances. But it accepted my game credit, also. So purchasing it with a FunTicket did work for me. It shows up in my account with the Premium Edition.

The jigsaw puzzle doesn't work for me. And the strategy guide is a PDF file. So I don't really know if this is the final version of the game or just a beta. I purchased it, but it seems like an incomplete version or it's the regular edition.

If you have Vista 64x, you will all get a lovely surprise. The jigsaw puzzle and the stradegy guide may not work for us. I downloaded for the first time last night, and got an error. Finnally got into the game and no jigsaw or stragedy guide? Downloaded again and it saved all my info of course. Today, I uninstalled and tried again, but last night I switch to the new Game House/ Real Arcade. Now I get an error that they cannot find initializer.rgi. I cannot download anything. I did not know I was supposed to be storing it! I tried what the others on the forum suggested. I uninstalled my Gamer House installer. It did not work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch, Donnalou

I hit buy and it gave me the option to use a credit, I chose that but it took $21.19 out of my checking account. That doesn't bother me, where is the extra content?

I did the same thing, sissi. And, like you, I don't care about the 21 dollars but when I try to register the game, it says the game does not exist. It shows in as 'purchased' in my game list.

I found it just below Pretty in Pink, played it for awhile, all went well, but I shut it down, and when I tried to open it again, it said it did not exist.

Also, it is no longer below Pretty in Pink. I think it was an error, and I hope I can re-download when it is available.

I don't think it was supposed to be available yet, and I believe when they found out it was, they fixed it so you could not play.

Bummer, because I was loving it. I think I was on the last chapter.

I was able to DL and play the trial just fine but could not purchase until the 20th.
The jizsaw puzzule came up but could only be played if I jioned gamepass free trial.
Did not have any errors in either one. (this is a very large file over 300mg)

This game does not officially release until 1/20. Thread Locked.

The version that was briefly available for download was taken down and existing versions that have already been downloaded installed will not be accessible via FunPass or able to be registered. That Version of the game was NOT the final release. The final release version will be made a available at midnight tonight (well.... technically 1/20).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have installed the game before then you will need to uninstall the game completely (i.e. the game, the strategy guide and the jigsaw) before you download and install the updated version. Failure to do so may cause your game DRM to become corrupted and you will be unable to play either version of the game.
