Hi Mznell14,

Light the matches. To do so, click and drag the match over the lighting strip, then set the poster on fire to reveal the soup recipe. If it doesn't works the first time, just strike twice with your match stick on the match box (situated right side just bellow the recipe) and it will be lit.

Cheers

Hi Persian,

Did you clicked on the picture first to focus it?

Is there a trick to it?

Hi Roephy,

I want to refreeze. You took the lit match from the inventory and placed it on the recipe and it doesn't burn? Did you do all the rest of the open puzzles? Like talked to the bee? In inventory a pinwheel, a pot, colored pebbles, mushrooms, a pepper and a bucket filled with water from the fountain in the courtyard? Can you read the recipe? maybe it already has done it. If yes, just continue with the pinwheel puzzle and the cooking of the recipe.

Please let me know, thanks!

After I collected the sun it was no longer visible in my inventory, however, when I placed my cursor over the box where the sun was it turns into the grab hand. When I grab the "nothing" my cursor disappears for a while. I am like you bearhugsNkisses I can't go further. Why doesn't someone from Gamehouse support answer these questions? I am just a tad frustrated.

Hi BearhugsNkisses and Sandisam,

I have played the whole game without any glitches. Maybe when you downloaded it, something happened.
Try to uninstall the game. Reboot your computer and reinstall the game. You can actually continue playing, where you left off. If the problem persists, it gives two other solutions either replay with an other name or uninstall the game progress as well. If you are interested in the uninstall of the game progress part, let me know, I can give you advice, how you can do it.

Lagoona, thanks for the quick response. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didn't work. I guess I will start with a new profile and see if that works. I am really frustrated with this game as it is not my first encounter with problems.

I've done everything else, but no matter what the match won't light, do I need the second puzzle slat? The hint always points to the poster... This has been since September, and nothing works.

Hi The_Skipper,

I have played this game until the end without any problems.

Try this, it might solve your problem:
Right click your shortcut and choose Properties. Click on Find Target. It will open up a second window, leave that one open. Right click on your shortcut and delete it.

Right click on the ....exe file from this game and create a shortcut. This new shortcut you can move from this window to wherever you want it to be, just take it with your left mouse hold down button and move it.

Now do the following, depending the system you are running:
Windows 95, 98 and NT: Right click on the shortcut and go to Properties
Choose the Compatibility Tab by clicking on it. Look down to Input settings
Tick the Box: Turn off advanced text services for this program

Vista: Right click on the game and go to properties
Choose the Compatibility Tab by clicking on it. Look down to settings
Tick the box: Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

If it doesn't works, Let me know, so I can guide you to uninstall it and then delete everything from your game savings and reinstall the game, it wipes out everything and you will have to start from scratch.

Good Luck, and let me know if you can solve it, thanks!

Cheers

This is the trail of messages for the problem I'm having with lighting the match, burning the recipe, and making the soup.

How do you burn the recipe ?

Check in your inventory, you have matches, click on the matches and then strike the box that is underneath the poster on the tree. Me too, I had trouble doing this.

That's all well and good, but I only get the flare sound, match doesn't light to burn poster. Is there a fix, or one planned?

You have to strike it twice to light it up.

After striking twice, and after hearing the flare sound, check your inventory, you will see a lit match.

Now it's my turn, Here's my post:
Nope! No lit match, no where to be found. After about 100 times trying to light the match, with all the sounds of lighting a match, I just put them away. I clicked on the galaxy picture, and it opened the recipe. Now I can't get the stupid 'bowl'/Calderon to stay over the fire pit. What's up with that?
I even went to the Help(?)section and connected to the games walk-through to see if I missed something.
After checking over everything several times, lots of back and forth between screens I finally have a stick over the fire the 'bowl' hangs on. It still won't stay there though. I can't make the soup for the Bee.
I'm stuck. And the game's Help section is even worse than Microsoft's.

I searched through the support-forum about this game, and all I read was advice from users, I didn't see anything from GameHouse, or any dev-type folk. I have Win7 running on a fairly fast dual-core processor and 4GB RAM and a 1GB video card. The game still takes almost 10 seconds to switch rooms.
Why?
The game is new enough that it should be compatible with my hardware.
And it shouldn't have to be uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.
That requirement indicates sloppy programming and bad Quality Control/Assurance from the Game's Developers. As a Communications Systems Analyst/DBA/Programmer with over 40 years experience and a background in Basic-VB-C-C+-C++-Java, I think I know what I'm talking about.

Somebody, in one of the messages I read tonight, had said that 'if Britalia was having trouble, seeing these same problems, then it must be a programming issue, it couldn't be just a user (ID-10-T) problem'. People used to say that about me, also. Just not in games.

This is a re-cap:
Is there a fix for all of the glitches?
Does GameHouse really care when they distribute games that have so many glitches?
Do they ever pull badly written games off the market?
Or, do they only mouth words to appease, not caring about their reputation, just profit?

My real concern: How am I going to play this game with my grand-daughters, with it being this glitchy?

I'm tired of fighting with this game and GameHouse.

Thanks,
GreyBeard

Grey beard, I don't know this game. However, what I can say is it's hard to know what your question is because you have four posts. That's a lot of sifting to do to find out what the question is. Maybe you'll get a better response if you say in one post what your question is. Just a suggestion. Hope you get to play the game with your grandkids.
