Nightfall Mysteries - screen blank upon logging in for new session

When I logged into Nightfall Mysteries for the 2nd session the screen is blank except for the task bar at the bottom of the screen. If I hit menu (in order to exit) nothing happens. I have tried this game on two PCs and have encountered the same problem. BTW, when I initially downloaded and played the game for the first time, all was OK. Is this a design flaw or can it be corrected by the Gamehouse techs?

Same problem here, thought it was my computer, and I even bought it on a free gamepass ticket, I was nearly finished playing it and had to quit the game, was looking forward to finishing it today, but all I keep getting is the task bar at the bottom, extremely frustrating. I even re downloaded the game.

We're sorry that you're having these challenges and our Technical Team has been notified of the problem. I'll post updates here as they become available.

Meanwhile thank you for your patience and for playing at GameHouse.

Update: We apologize but this game has been pulled because of the technical problem that you reported and that results in the blank screen upon restarting the game. We have reproduced the issue, which arises after:

1. A hidden object scene has been played to completion, meaning all hidden objects in the scene have been found and the inventory item has been located and collected.
2. The game has been exited in normal fashion after completing the hidden object scene as above.
3. The game has been restarted and game play has attempted to be resumed under the same user profile.

We expect to have this issue fixed and a new version available for download sometime next week.

In the mean time, if you have already downloaded and installed the game you should still be able to play it all the way through without exiting the game.

If you do exit the game after playing through a hidden object scene, finding all of the hidden objects and collecting the inventory item, you should be able to relaunch the game but you will need to create a new profile and start over from the beginning...and then the entire game should be playable without exiting. Attempting to restart the game and continue play under the same user profile will likely produce the black screen that you have reported.

I will continue to update this thread as I receive more news, and I'll include information about how to obtain the new version when available.

Thank you all very much for being patient while we work to resolve this issue!

Best wishes,

Bill

I also had this problem and I also did buy the game with a fun ticket. I started over a second time and thought it was a fluke, and then it happened again, only this time I was almost done with the game, and now I have to start all over again to finish it. I believe Gamehouse should give all of us a free game credit for selling a faulty game that has no fix.

I have this problem, but I didn't download the game. I bought the game on CD at a retail store. I don't have a GamePass or FunTicket account. Even if I created an account with either of them, I wouldn't have the credit showing that I purchased the game since I bought the physical CD at the store. Redownloading the updated version isn't an option for me. What can I do?

Hi,
I think gamehouse has nothing much of help here. You try to replace the cd's. U can also try playing the game in different compatibility modes and screen resolution.
