NEW! Get Premium & Platinum Editions with 2 FunTickets

We’re happy to announce an exciting new FunTicket benefit. FunTicket subscribers may now redeem 2 FunTickets to purchase a Premium or Platinum Edition game.

This is a feature that our FunTicket subscribers have been requesting from us, and we want you to know that we’ve been listening. It’s this type of feedback that helps us continually improve our site, our service, and our subscriptions.

If you are a FunTicket subscriber, follow these instructions if you would like to redeem 2 FunTickets for a Premium or Platinum Edition game:

How to redeem 2 FunTickets:
1. Go to a Premium or Platinum Edition game page and click the “Buy Now” button.
2. If you have 2 or more FunTickets in your account, we will automatically apply 2 FunTickets to the Premium or Platinum Edition game in your shopping cart.
3. Continue checking out to complete your purchase.

Please note that if you do not yet have 2 FunTickets in your account, you may still purchase a Premium or Platinum Edition game at your subscriber discount price of only $13.99. This is a savings of 30% off the retail price.

Note to GamePass subscribers:
At this time our system is unable to apply GamePass credits to purchase a Premium or Platinum Edition game. This is because the combined value of two GamePass credits is $9.99, and the subscriber cost for a Premium or Platinum game is $13.99. (In comparison, FunTicket subscribers pay $13.98 for two FunTickets.) Rest assured that our development team is working on a way to apply GamePass credits to buy a Premium or Platinum Edition game in the future. In the meanwhile, GamePass subscribers can still buy Premium or Platinum games at the subscriber discount price of only $13.99, a savings of 30% off the retail price.

Thank you,
The GameHouse Team

That is great news for you folks with Fun Ticket subscriptions. I'm glad for you. I wish there were some comparable way (considering the significantly higher subscription price we pay) that those of us with Fun Pass plans could benefit.

I'm not complaining, I like having my Fun Pass subscription, and I have already gotten a lot of use from it. But spending more on top of the monthly fee is just not possible on my budget.

Hello GH Team,

That is great news and thank you so much. It is a very good move into the right direction indeed.

I am just waiting, that we as Fun Pass Member get one day also the benefit of using our coins, at least for the Premium Edition Games. Also when it means 30.000 coins per Premium Edition (and or maybe Platinum Edition), so the price difference is covered.

I have an eye on some of the Premium Editions, which I would love to keep.
Therefor I am saving up my coins and hoping and hoping and hoping.....
Please reward me for doing so and I am fine with waiting for it, until you are ready!

Cheers

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your feedback on this new policy that allows FunTicket subscribers to get Premium and Platinum Edition games with 2 FunTickets.

As the original post noted, our Development Team is working to make it possible for GamePass subscribers to apply GamePass credits to buy Premium and Platinum edition titles. We're looking at that as a future enhancement.

And I'll encourage our FunPass subscribers here to check out the New FunPass VIP Deals available exclusively to FunPass subscribers.

Thanks again for your replies, and thank you for playing at GameHouse!

Bill

I just tried to purchase "Campfire Legends - the Last Act" Premium Edition and all that came up was the member price of $13.99. I have 4 fun tickets available. There was no option to choose to be able to pay with 2 fun tickets. How can I get this game using only fun tickets?

I wondered if you would be putting out more and more platinum games that we can't access with our funpass. I already pay $20 a month and cannot afford any more money for extra games. I used to think this was a good value but now I am starting to wonder.

Solution for GamePass-ers?

Allow GP subscribers to use 2 credits & charge additional $3.99 for Premium Editions (equal to the $13.98 FunTicket price). I have 3 (soon to be 5) GH credits; It's hard to justify paying $13.99 for a game when I will have already paid appx. $25.00 for those 5 credits. However, 2 credits ($9.99 value) + $$ amount to make up difference is fair. Is it so difficult to institute? My credits are adding up due to the release of so many HOGs that I don't want, & Premium Editions, for which I can't use credits.
Frustrating.

Ok, this is totally unfair. I just realized there is a difference here between being a FunPass member ($19.99/mo.) which I am, and being a FunTicket member ($6.99/mo). Yet you give the Premiums and Platinums games to FunTicket members and not FunPass members who pay triple per month?? How much are the Game Coupons worth, anyway? All it says is, if the game costs more than your coupon, we'll bill the difference. So I wouldn't even find out until after a purchase is made if the coupon covers the cost. I have looked, but there's no evaluation listed that I can easily find. And then you say "You're looking into providing this for GamePass(?) members." Is this another membership? You folks provide a great website, but this provisional service to one type of subscriber over another is unfair, especially when one is paying nearly triple the fee and this service is not being provided them.

Hi BobbysoxPal, From other posts GH has made re: the Platinum games, it sounds like it's the developers calling the shots on that, at least for now. And from what I understand, GH is honoring GamePass from the old Real Arcade subscribers and it never was available at GH. I don't think GH is purposely trying to be unfair.
Adding: P.S. I too am a Funpass member.

Then perhaps more clarification is in order? What I perceive from your statement is that GamePass members were transferred here from Real Arcade? I was also a member of Real Arcade, and my original purchases from them are now in my profile area incase I need to download them again, which is nice, as I've switched computers a few times since then and wasn't able to transfer them to new ones. All in all, I preferred GH to RA. I am still a member of BFG and still go there once in a while. Its just getting hard to keep up with what's what without some kind of reference point to go on and clarification goes a long way to help from confusion setting in. So, does that mean GamePass is now FunTicket in GH or how does that work? It still doesn't answer the question for FunPass members.

Hi BobbysoxPal, That's as much as I know from the reading I've done. You could read too, or maybe someone else can clarify for you about Gamepass. I too was a Real Arcade member and have the games in My Games, available for download but I don't even bother with that much anymore which is why I like Funpass. I can play almost anything anytime. For me, no sense to own games that I don't play anymore. I wasn't a RA member when they became GH. I had switched over to a place that had a rental system, like Funpass, but their games got really crappy when the merged with Nickelodeon, more for kids, and that's when I found out about GH and Funpass, so I dropped the other place and came here. I've been really happy with the service. I hope you can get happy too, wherever you decide to play.

This is ridiculous, just spoke with someone thru chat and was told because I am a "migrant" his words from real arcade I cannot use my fun tickets for premium games. Under the buy now it says membership for $13.99 OR 2 fun tickets. Doesn't say migrant real arcade users excluded. Fun tickets is what I have and should be able to use them. A fun ticket is a fun ticket....very very misleading and was very disappointed I couldn't get game. Also, why are there so many platinum and premium games all of a sudden. I love HO games and standard ones are not coming out, just platinum and premium ones. Sorry, but I'm very disappointed at how gamehouse is discriminating migrant real arcade players which was quite a long time ago. Have you not accepted us?

Posted on Mon Dec 19 09:31:19 PST 2011

Hello FlGrandma, thank you for your comments.

GameHouse warmly welcomes our customers from the former RealArcade. We have been pleased to do so ever since RealArcade merged into GameHouse in November, 2009.

At that time we invited former RealArcade customers, who were active GamePass subscribing members, to transfer their memberships to GameHouse at the same price they had been paying for their GamePass memberships. But instead of providing only one GamePass game credit we offered those members two credits per month - at no additional cost - if they transferred their memberships to GameHouse.

GamePass is a legacy subscription membership no longer available for new sign-ups. Only GamePass members who transferred their subscriptions to GameHouse can continue with that membership plan offering two game credits per month. It is distinct from FunTicket membership, which offers one FunTicket per month.

Platinum and Premium Edition games are, indeed, available for two FunTickets - if one has a FunTicket membership. However, at this time we are unable to offer GamePass game credit redemption for Platinum or Premium Edition games although we are working on a solution to provide that option in the future.

Thanks again for your comments and question. And thanks for playing at GameHouse!

Best wishes,
Bill

Blah,Blah!! All of the post from GH are the same thing just re-worded. I came from RA reluctantly but then I loved GH. Now I'm re-evaluating. My fav games are the Time Management and there were always new releases. But recently they have been far and few inbetween, EXCEPT the Premium and Platinum.

I just think that GH is starting to get their priorities messed up and I honestly don't know if I will continue with them.
Sincerely, Elizabeth

Everyone is talking about FunTickets!!!!! What about being able to redeem coins for Platinum games? I have almost 64000 coins that I tried to redeem for Beauty and the Beast Platunum and couldn't!!! A standard game is only 10000 so, come on...Really?????????? How fair is that?
Oh yeah, you can get a $25.00 Amazon Gift Card for 50,000 points...you figure it out!!!!!!!!!

That is not correct...please be sure to read the complete Terms & Conditions, which include:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE AN ENTRANT’S CHANCES OF WINNING A PRIZE.

No purchase necessary. There are two ways to enter:
1. Purchase any Premium Edition or Platinum Edition game on GameHouse.com with 2 FunTickets using the FunTicket subscription product. Only one entry will be valid for each individual. Further information about FunTicket can be obtained via the landing page at http://www.gamehouse.com/memberships/funticket. Customers may choose to cancel their FunTicket subscription at any time.

2. Free entry: Mail in a submission on a postcard to: Jeff Washatka, “GAMEHOUSE – 2 FUNTICKETS SWEEPSTAKES 2012”, c/o RealNetworks Inc., PO Box 91123, Seattle, WA. 98111-9223. All entries must be submitted prior to Midnight, 1/26/2012. Only one entry will be valid for each individual that enters.

Even though the promotion is focused on FunTicket, offering an automatic entry as noted in the first entry method outlined above, anyone who meets the general eligibility requirements can enter whether they are a GamePass or FunPass member...or if they have no subscribing membership.

Hope that helps clarify things -- good luck!

GH Come on 2009 right? You know that there is FunTickets, Fun Pass, and GAMEPASS. Those are your three memberships (even if new members cant choose gamepass). So before you change anything you should really be looking at ALL your memberships and finding a way to mae it work for EVERYONE! There is all kinds of ways you can work around this whole Prem. Plat. game thing. It's your responsiblity as a company ( thats if you want to keep those long time customers) to make sure those are the ones that are happy. We are the ones who have kept GH in business..There is way to many game websites out there not to fix this fast....Cause if I wanted to pay $14 for a Prem game then I will go to best buy get the same game for $10...I think the 2 tickets for a Prem game is a great idea, but you have other members besides funticket members...

I know Mr Beal has already forwarded this suggestion to the Rewards Team, so I'll just add that I support the idea too.
In fact, having the option to purchase any type of release via using coins could prove an acceptable workaround / mitigation for what I (& some others) perceive as the negative impact Platinum games are having on the FunPass membership.

I have been a Fun Pass subscriber for a while and have really enjoyed being able to play the games. I feel that there are more and more Premium and Platinum editions coming out and I am losing value on my fun pass. I usually play the game through and never play it again. That is why the fun pass works great for me. I don't want to purchase the game to keep. I also have of 60,000 coins and nothing to use them on. Why would I want to purchase a game I have access to with my fun pass. There is ony rewards for free and discounted games, nothing else, no amazon card anymore. I see the coins as a joke. Get free games that I already have access to with my fun pass subcription that I pay for every month. I am finding that with every new premium and platinum edition release that comes out that I am unable to access without spending more money I want to cancel my subscription.

Maybe there will be more amazon gift cards. Maybe they just ran out. That happened before. It would really be bad if there was no amazon gift cards, but games are good too. One thing that really makes me mad is gamepass members can't buy a premium game with credits. When will they finally figure out a fair deal?

Hello suzannetq -- welcome to the GameHouse Community Forums.

Thank you for your comments; we appreciate your feedback. I would like to take a moment to clarify one point about Premium Edition games. Although we are unable to offer FunPass play for Platinum Edition titles, FunPass members enjoy full access to all of our Premium Edition games.

Also your GameHouse Rewards coins can be redeemed for free game or discount game coupons not only for yourself but as gifts for family members or friends. The coupon codes you receive after redeeming your coins can be copied and pasted into an email to be sent to the recipient.

I hope that helps you continue to enjoy your FunPass membership and your GameHouse Rewards benefits. We thank you for your business and support!

Best regards,

Hi ffwfire, looks like we both posted at just about the same time.

We continue to update our Rewards program and, unfortunately, the Amazon.com Gift Cards are no longer part of that program. But you're right -- getting free games or discounts on games is a great benefit, one that can even be shared with friends or family members by offering them the coupon code you receive after redeeming your coins for a free game or a game discount. And be sure to check back for announcements of other exciting reward options.

[Edited to add the following] I realize I had not replied to your comment about GamePass credits and Premium Edition/Platinum Edition games. This is a feature we are working on for a future enhancement. I don't yet have a time frame for it but we know it is important to our GamePass members and we appreciate your feedback.

Oh those gift cards were nice. So that means I have to actually get games with those coins. That is why I am here. I like to get games and I tried funpass, but I thought it was stupid because I have all the games I wanted to play. Owning games is better than renting. You don't have to be online. If your internet goes down you can still play your games.

But those amazon cards were good while they lasted. I thought it was nice of Gamehouse to give their business to amazon.

Dear GH,

I have a proposal. Since you did not formally communicate to FP members that they will no longer be able to play premium & platinum editions without spending another $13.99, I suggest that you allow all FP members to download and play Royal Envoy 2 with no additional cost WITH FP users understanding that this was the LAST TIME and in the future WILL NEED to purchase these types of games if they want to play them. I think it's the least that can be done to satisfy your FP member base.

FP members should had been informed of this change before it took place.

I hope that you will at least consider this proposal. Thank you

Respectfully,
Angie

Hello Joe1Angie,

We thank you for your business and support and we appreciate your comments.

First let me clarify one important point: FunPass members have always been able to play Premium Edition games. Full access to all Premium Edition titles is a benefit of FunPass membership.

Platinum Edition titles are not available for FunPass play because of contractual agreements with the games' developers. That is a consideration that we must make in order for us to offer Platinum Edition series games to our customers.

The standard edition counterparts of Platinum Edition titles are available for FunPass play. In many cases we have been able to release both the Platinum Edition and standard edition of a title on the same date and that is our goal. That is not always possible, however. Royal Envoy 2 standard edition is expected to be available within the next 30 days and FunPass members will enjoy unlimited access to that standard edition.

Thanks again for playing at GameHouse!

Kind regards,

Bill

Dear Bill,

Your response to the previous issue with FP members was to appease us by saying the standard edition of Royal Envoy 2 would be available to us in 30 days. Why is it that GH finds it impossible to COMMUNICATE updates/changes that affect FP members? Especially regarding TMG, which are hard to come by. About 99% of what I play on here is TMG and it seems I already have to wait longer for these games as it is. I think that people typically get upset due to lack of communication more than the fact that something has changed. For our $19.99 a month, we expect good customer service and deserve it.

Respectfully,
Angie

Posted on Wed Jan 25 09:19:16 PST 2012

Hi Angie,

GameHouse introduced Platinum Edition games on Sep. 7, 2011 and we communicated those details in announcements that were posted initially as 'sticky' topics in both the Support Forum and The Lounge. You can click here to see that announcement in the Support Forum (since released from a 'sticky' to make room at the top of the list for other more recent announcements).

Subsequent to that announcement numerous other Forum threads were started about the topic and discussion has continued off and on among those threads. Searching all Forums for the word "Platinum" will result in a list of numerous posts among several threads on the subject.

Regarding Time Management Games, we are happy to offer our customers new TMGs as they become available to us. Two titles coming up are Be a King - Golden Empire (in the next 30 days) and Hello Venice, a Match 3 title with a Time Management component built in. Beyond those two games I understand that our Content Team is working on obtaining several other TMGs; however estimated release dates are not yet known.

Thank you again for your feedback and for your business. We are glad to have you playing at GameHouse.

Best wishes,
Bill

Hello Angie,

Thank you for clarifying; I did not understand the release date of Royal Envoy 2 Standard Edition to be the main point of your previous post. I also did not realize that the title no longer appeared under the "30 Days" heading of our Upcoming Games page.

Royal Envoy 2 Standard Edition is still expected* to be released at GameHouse within the next 30 days. During an update of the Upcoming Games page the title was accidentally deleted from that list; however one of my colleagues on our Product Marketing team has made an immediate correction and has reinstated the title under the "30 Days" heading.

*Game release dates are subject to confirmation and may change.

Thanks again for your post.

I'm totally frustrated that I cant use my Fun Pass on games that I really want to play. I don't want to buy them. I'm paying twenty dollars a month and recently the games have been marginal at best. Wondering if it's time to go full time with Big Fish and pay for what I want to play. At least they offer good games almost daily.

Do you have a Gamepass account? (Did you carry your account over from RealArcade?) If so, Funtickets are not Funtickets any more, they have been renamed 'game credits' so they don't qualify for this offer. They're only still Funtickets if you have, specifically, a Funticket account.

If you have a Funticket account then when you go through the purchase process it should do it automatically - when I purchase a game with my 'game credits' I get a pop-up box which asks me how I would like to pay, I'm assuming this works the same way, maybe you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings and that is preventing the box from coming up?

Joe1Angie...I saw you asking about Royal Envoy and I know that BigFish has it ...And there is no unfair who has funtickets and who doesnt who cant use funtickets. I have been with Gamehouse for a long time but this whole mess is stupid and sont trying talking to anyone because if you dont get what there saying right away they just get upset with you... Big Fish has the same deal where you can use tickets to buy your games, however EVERYONE gets to use them.. simple! And they have Royal Envoy2 standard already out...
Love ya Gamehouse but you have really gotta get it together. In this economy we dont want to ever feel like we are wasting are money, especially when there is always somewhere else to take our business.. And the way you guys are going about this 2ticket prem/plat game thing only for certain gamers is making some us feel like we should take our business some place else!
Good Luck

Hello peanut4677,

Thank you for your business over the years at the former RealArcade and, more recently, with GameHouse. I thank you for your comments, too, as they provide an opportunity to reiterate some important points.

First I'll quickly add that Royal Envoy 2 standard edition is expected to be released at GameHouse next week, on February 17th, 2012.

Now to the main point of your post (and to address a point you raised in your previous reply under this thread), no doubt you'll recall RealArcade merging into GameHouse in November, 2009 and the invitation that GameHouse extended to active RealArcade GamePass members to transfer their memberships at the same monthly subscription fee they had been paying at RealArcade. Additionally, and to recognize and reward their loyalty, GameHouse offered GamePass subscribers two game credits per month - double the previous game credit provision at RealArcade - at no additional cost if they transferred their memberships to GameHouse.

Only GamePass members who transferred their subscriptions to GameHouse can continue with that membership plan and enjoy the added benefit of receiving two game credits per month instead of only one. This is an important distinction from FunTicket membership, which offers one FunTicket credit per month.

We've previously stated that we are looking into ways for GamePass subscribers to use multiple game credits for Platinum and Premium Edition games. That option is not available at this time, but we are looking to provide it as a future enhancement. In the meantime active GamePass subscribers, who transferred their memberships to GameHouse, continue to receive two game credits per month -- a benefit exclusive to them.

Thanks again for your loyalty and for your feedback.

Kind regards,
Bill
