I am brand new to gamehouse and signed up mostly to download jigsaw puzzle games. I have a Mac Book Pro, less than one year old. The first game I downloaded, Super Jigsaw Americana for Mac, listed for its system requirements only that the computer be running Mac OS 10.4 or better, so I downloaded. However, when I went to install it, I got a message that I could not install it because "Power PC games are no longer supported." The support chat guy translated that as "you can't run it on your Mac because you have an Intel processor."
Shouldn't the game say that right up front? If this information isn't given, how will I know if ANY games will work?
Hello, alacrity -- and welcome to the GameHouse Community Forums.
Sorry you're having trouble with your game. Can you please tell me if you are running OS X 10.7 "Lion" on your MacBook Pro? The error message you received makes me think that you are, as we know that OS X 10.7 does not support programs developed for PowerPC Macs.
I'm uncertain whether or not Super Jigsaw Americana for Mac is compatible with OS X 10.7, as the game's download page has neither "Compatible with OS X 10.7" nor "Not yet compatible with OS X 10.7" that normally appears for each Mac game. I'll check its OS X 10.7 compatibility with my colleagues on the Games Release team; I should have that answer on Monday, when I'll post an update.
In the meantime I thank you for your business and support and for your patience!
