How does one play their purchased games without having a desktop icon? I deleted my icon(s) since I do not wish to have them there, now I'm being prompted to redownload my game. This is very frustrating!!!!! Also I just read a response from someone else stating that if you click on "See My Real Arcade Game" that you should be able to play them there...well the games that I am currently not able to play have been purchased from Gamehouse and are not on my realarcade game list.

Hi ok2brude,

I'm very sorry for the confusion. If you've removed the desktop icon, the simplest way to access games you've downloaded from GameHouse is through the Start menu. Go to Start->Programs->GameHouse. You should see a list of all your GameHouse games there. By the way, you can also access your RealArcade games through the Start menu. They should be in Start->Programs->Games. (Note, on some versions of Windows, the menu says "All Programs" rather than just "Programs".)

I hope this helps. Please post back and let us know.

Craig

Craig,

Ty for your response. I did know how to access my games in the manner in which you have requested. I feel it unreasonable to have to access my games in such a fashion and was hoping there was another way (i.e., at real arcade when you go into my games it says "play". I did create shortcuts to my gamehouse games, however, like i said earlier, i do not want the icons on my desktop. I tend to purchase a wide array of games (i own more than 50 on real arcade) and DO NOT want all of these shortcuts on my desktop as i vary which games i play. Do you have any suggestion how to more easily access my games. I would think that gamehouse, being around for a while, would have been a little more customer friendly and already crossed this bridge. Hopefully you can help me or i may have to decline future purchases with gamehouse.

Personally I like the desktop icons myself. BUT.. Theres a way to do it and organize everything. I right click on the Desktop, select NEW and then Folder. I name the folder GAMES and put all of my icons for the games into one folder.

Yes, we realize that this was one of the benefits of the RealArcade My Games page. You can still play your RealArcade games through this page (under My GameHouse) but we are working on a way to have all GH and RA games in a single, sortable list. It sounds like you're a power user for this type of functionality, so let me know if you'd like to be involved in our beta test and I will contact you outside of the forum.

Thanks,
Craig
