I've been a GH subscriber for years, and I'm pretty sure I read all of the FAQ's and emails related to the merger, but... Where does it mention that new games will no longer be posted daily? Why's it taking 2-3 days before new games come up, & why are about 80% of these games HOGs?
Part of the appeal of this site was a new game to choose (or not) every day - and there seemed to be far more variety pre-merger than there is now. Does your staff need to be re-informed, because I'm not the first to complain about the lack of variety. It would be easier to digest if you were still posting a new game daily, but as it stands, these "Mystery of The So-And-So" HOGs are getting tiresome, when it's all we have to try out for days on end.
But back to my first question - PLEASE point me to the FAQ explanation that states "Hey subscribers! I know we used to post a new game every day - but now.... not so much!"
Was this some smoke and mirrors thing, or did I miss something?
I think they are releasing a lot of HOG games too, but I read complaints about Bigfish doing the same thing. I think they are doing this because I think that is all that really has been coming out.
I think they should tell you the games that are going to be released beforehand. Maybe set up a game calendar.
HOG = Hidden Object Game (or the stock symbol for Harley Davidson )
I also noticed that the new game daily is no longer on the site. I'm assuming that GH is trying to build a collection of higher-quality games instead of trying to fill in the calendar with any game that they come across. As much as I liked checking back every day to see what new game was released, I didn't always play the game, so I guess it's not really a big deal. I'd take fewer game releases if the games they do release are hand-picked and awesome.
That being said, I wish there were more awesome games in other genres. HOGs aren't really my style, but it's my understanding that it has a pretty big following. I guess they gotta feed the masses. In the meantime, I'll keep playing Collapse and Build-a-Lot.
