Hidden object mini games

I love hidden object games. But my one complaint is the mini games. So many times I've had to stop playing because I cannot figure out how to solve the mini game. There should be an option to skip when you cannot solve the mini game. I'm so tired of paying for games without this option. If you cannot get past the mini game then the game is useless. And why do we need these mini games in the first place????? A. McDonell

Hi there, I can relate with your frustration and altho I try my best to work the mini games that come with any game I play there are times when we all need a little help. For that did you know you can go to a site called gamezebo for tips and walkthru's of most of the games found here...hope this helps, have fun playing.

Most hidden object games I've played DO have the option to skip the mini games. It's usually in the upper right hand corner.

It's funny. I enjoy the HO games but I LOVE the mini games. Does anyone know if there is a game out there that is just mini games?

I usually enjoy minigames but find it really annoying as you do if the game cannot be skipped for some reason. I have a mobility issue in my hands, so I cannot play arcade type games that require mouse movements. I am great with some of the old arcade style games that gave keyboard options (Tetris) but for the most part, casual games are entirely mouse dependent.

AND when the game has a generally relaxed mode, that's what I usually play. So it's really annoying to run into arcade style games in an otherwise great game. I think the Nancy Drew series can be especially bad this way, making it impossible to find out the end of the mystery til there is some way to get past a minigame. ugh.

This discussion probably belongs in another category. But I know that angst!

I think some of the puzzle games can almost be like collections of minigames. You just have to try a lot of them. And if you buy the HOGs that you like which have minigames that you love, SOME of them do allow you to just play just the minigames after you unlock each of the new ones that occur in the game--normally these minigames can be played via an option in the startup window.

I was stuck on that part too when I played that game. I went to gamezebo and found you this
•Riddle #4-"It survives to this very day, it helped T-Rex capture prey" (T-Rex third claw) Fourth bin from the left, in the middle row - the large crescent-shaped claw.

Hope that helps.

Could someone please give me a short list of the HO games that do not have so many mini games. I bought Titanic and the mini games are impossible to solve and you can't skip them without taking points from your score. I don't like the mini games unless they have instructions and are easy to get through. What happened to just finding hidden objects?

For Sue70, and others (like me!) that actually like mini-games, and prefer games that are a bit more puzzle-orientated, I recommend Ancient Secrets, which is a fantastic puzzle/HO game with more emphasis on the puzzles than the HOs; the puzzles are very varied and unusual too - and often pretty difficult!

One to avoid for the rest of you though!

I also love the mini games. Yes,wouldn't that be great if there was a game with just mini games.........with instructions and of course could be skipped.
Yes, I agree that it is too bad to find out after you bought a game that you cannot finish it because of the no skip option.

I just finished the new game..."Tales of Lagoona"..and they have lots of mini games and you can play the mini games after you finished the game. In the game, the mini games can be skipped. It is also a fun game.

I think Azada is like this...unfortunately it's not available on Gamehouse. I do prefer the games that are considered more adventure type where you can move around and interact with objects with a HO scene here and there but agree that a skip button should always be available.

One more thing to suggest to game developers and publishers....it would also help if the puzzles all had simple directions to give you at least some basic idea as to what you're supposed to do. Some of these puzzles have been so complex that you're left looking at it, wondering what you're supposed to do and have to end up googling for the walkthrough on the game and I'll just read enough of it to get just the basic idea. The hint button to be active for the puzzles would also be nice. :-/

I love the hidden object games, but I also like the mini games. At 66, I find they often challenge the mind. LOL. I do agree that we should be able to skip once in a while. I am hung up on a mini game with Ancient Secrets, Quest for the Golden Key, where I'm in the cave with the treasures. I had no problem opening the first two (2) treasure chest mini games, and have opened the first two (2) locks on the third chest. I can't seem to get the key out so the chest will open. Is there someone that can help or has anyone actually been able to open the third chest? I went to the www.gamezebo.com site and it's quite interesting, BUT it did not show me how to complete the game by sliding the last key to open the 3rd chest. Didn't do anything for me. Any other suggestions from anyone? Thanks.
