I suffered a motherboard fault on my XP machine. Bought a new Windows 7 Lenovo. I'm re-downloading all my games.
One of them, Youda Sushi Chef gives me the opening screen. But when you go to play it the graphics just flash and the screen doesn't finish loading. Any suggestions on how to fix?
Kris, sorry for the trouble. This happens due to improper screen resolution settings. For smooth game performance try running the game in 1024*768 resolution. To do so, check the instructions:
NOTE: Changing the screen resolution will change your screen appearance.
1. Right-click on your desktop.
2. Click Properties (or Personalize if you are on Vista or Windows 7).
3. Click the Settings tab on the top (Display Settings if you are on Vista or Windows 7).
4. Check the screen resolution.
5. If it is not 1024 by 768, move the slider until the screen resolution is set to 1024 by 768.
6. Click Apply and OK and then try playing the game.
7. If it is not working you can revert back the previous screen resolution.
8. If your screen resolution is already 1024 by 768, continue to the next solution.
I'm such a ditz. Details might help solve this. I love this game and will miss it if it won't work on the new machine.
The game loads. I press play. The screen loads to a point. The sake, phone and rating bars flash all the different options, i.e., for sake -- plain bottle, fancy bottle, plain bottle, etc. very fast. The rest of the scene doesn't load. Just whirling icons for the ingredients, blackness for the backdrop, no chairs.
I've tried uninstalling, redownloading, reinstalling, but same problem. I've tried all the options under Properties, and sizes from 640 up to 1920.
The other 80 or so games I've had to re-download all work fine. It's frustrating. Any other suggestions?
Hi Kris, I was looking for a game to play and decided to download this one even though I never got very far on Youda Farmer.
It works on my Windows 7. I downloaded it with the Funpass button and have been playing it on Easy. So I don't know what to tell you except is works on my machine. A few of the old games I had on my XP wouldn't work on 7, but only a handful.
Lenovo uses tricky drivers on their hardware and usually the only ones available are the ones from the official Lenovo website. I'd like to help you trouble shoot your issue but in order to do so, I need to know the make and model of your computer so I can look it up and compare it with other sites for graphical hardware troubleshooting purposes.
