Games still shutting down after short play

So what's up with this link that was provided when I did a topic search based on the ongoing issue of games just shutting down after brief play?? "http://www.gamehouse.com/forums/support-forum/UPDATE---Certain-Games-Closing-Unexpectedly-After-Brief-Play---PLEASE-READ-id4024"

It's titled ...blah-blah-blah FIXED. Well no it's not. Games still shut down. We have a total of 4 computers, 32 bit, 64 bit, HP's & Toshibas. It's definitely not our computers.

Could SOMEONE at Gamehouse give us some REAL updates? Not just say it's fixed and drop it - basically ignoring all of us good money paying customers who are still frustrated at not getting what we're paying for??

I'M GOING BIGFISH IF THIS DOESN'T GET SOME ATTENTION AND RESOLUTION!

I'm right there with you on your frustration level! Going through multiple tech support emails and calls and nothing is happening when it's clearly not my computers issues. One question though before you go further, are you playing on more than one computer at a time? We are not allowed to do that anymore it seems, (or maybe ever but there wasn't a shut down problem before). I've tested it at home and if my daughter is playing on her computer and I'm on mine playing as well one of us gets booted. Ususaly the one who logged in first. Without warning or any sort of message. I personally think that it is not fair that everyone in the house has to have their own account, but I don't make the rules.

Bigfish is looking pretty good to me these days as well and I've been a GH supporter for three years...

Hi Lala,

Interesting thought. It does happen if we are both logged into my account, whether we're playing the same game or different ones. If that's the case, you'd think GH support would just post it here so we wouldn't have this frustration.

They did list it at one point of what "could be" the cause. At that time though it was not the cause for me, I knew for sure there was only one of us logged in at the time. Since then the games still shut down randomly, so I know it's not the only cause.

Still I don't think it's fair that only one computer in the house can be playing at a time. I wish they would address that issue as well as the games closing and downloads stalling out or freezing up issues that are happening a lot also. There are people posting all the time about not being able to install, that games seem to take hours to download. I never had that issue until a couple of days ago, now the games seem to be taking forever to install when they are actually at 100% but just freeze up on the install screen. I've had to end task and restart my computer and then the games open and play... it's all very hoaky for such an established company IMHO.

The same thing is happening to me today with "Little shop world traveler". It shut down on me 3 times and I had to reboot my computer and had to do the same level all over again. No one was here but me using the computer and it's a game I purchased without ads because some people are saying it's the ads that shut them down. I finally just gave up.

Hi everyone -- thanks for your comments.

The cause of FunPass game play shutting down, as reported elsewhere in these forums a few weeks ago (reference the URL provided in the original post), was related to a server issue and that problem was corrected.

Since then a few people have reported additional and/or ongoing concerns about game play shutting down unexpectedly, and our Customer Support team has been logging those reports and escalating them to our Technical team for their review and research. And this forum topic has illustrated another reason that FunPass game play would be inaccessible: when a log-in session for a given FunPass account is superseded by a secondary log-in on another computer.

In the latter case messaging should be displayed to alert that a FunPass log-in session is already active for an account when a secondary sign-on is attempted. I apologize for any confusion and frustration resulting from the lack of clarity there; our Technical team is working on getting that messaging in place.

As a general reminder...there can be many factors involved when one experiences game play issues. If you don't find your specific issue being addressed in the Support Forum pages, which are primarily a platform for GameHouse Community members to help each other, please contact GameHouse Customer Support by either calling toll-free from the U.S. on 866-831-5895 or by sending an email to support@gamehouse.com. The Support team will log your concerns and issue an incident number to help us track the issue. Actually, in many cases, the Customer Support team can troubleshoot and guide our customers to resolution. And our Technical team has access to the incident report details to help them determine the source of the problem and offer guidance to an existing solution or develop a solution as required.

I hope this has helped and I thank you all for being our customers. We appreciate your business and your support.

Bill

Whats up with the game Legends of the Wild West, Golden Hill. I can't even get through the first board and the game freezes up. Then I have to turn the game off and reload it again and the same thing happens again.

I gave up! Apparently GH doesn't care or doesn't believe us when we tell them It's not OUR computers. I'm tired of the run around so I've canceled my account and am going to play somewhere else. I would say where but they will probably just delete my post, the site I'm at is half the price as here and seems to have all the same games and more. Looks like "IWIN" in this situation.

Good luck to the rest of you!
