You are doing the same thing Bigfish did the other day, but premium edition games on bigfish are $13.99 for members.

Hi there, 'ffwfire'...

While it's true that much of the casual gaming industry offers games at $9.99, today GameHouse took an important step by reducing our standard game pricing from $19.99 to $9.99.

And don't forget that GameHouse offers the FunPass membership, which provides great value. FunPass members enjoy unlimited play of every game in our catalog - Premium Edition titles included.

Thanks for playing at GameHouse!

Bill

Thank you, Gamehouse, for the price reduction.

I used to buy my games only at Gamehouse but a change in my financial circumstances dictated jumping ship to the cheaper BF site. Had a guilty conscience about that but it couldn't be helped. Now that non-club member prices are the same, I am back and have already made a purchase!

Well in all honesty if Big Fish had a Fun Pass membership and a review system like GameHouse here that's honestly where I would be playing as their games get released MUCH faster than here, the kind of games I'm looking for. The last good game I played on here was Golden Trails. The games after that have been disappointing for me. Since I haven't played anything all week due to work, just haven't been able to focus on a game. I'm about to play the Robinson Crusoe game. I hope that's a good one.

I see that another Wedding Dash game & The Asylum Conspiracy games are on the "upcoming soon list" and since it's games I really want to play, as I just did the trial version over at the Pond, I sure hope it doesn't take 7 to 8 months to release it like the Star Crossed Love game. So as much as I love Gamehouse for the most part, you still do need to step it up a bit getting games released faster and your upcoming soon list; why should people look at it, if it's no where near being accurate? I am glad to see you've lowered prices for game buyers.

If Bigfish is where your heart is, you should go there. Competition makes good business.

Have you ever tried to terminate a contract with Bigfish, even after you had bought the number of games you contracted for? I had to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau in Seattle, Washington to get them to stop charging me, and they made some lame excuse like they were doing me a favor for allowing me to terminate my contract. Excuse me. I had purchased and paid for all of the games stipulated in the contract.

So, in my opinion, if I have to wait a little longer (not sure that I do, but if I do) for Gamehouse to put out a game, I'm game for that because if it's the same as Real Arcade, then I know that my money, credit card number, etc. is safe. And when I want to cancel, I can cancel. I know because I have done that and come back when the other rental place I went to (RA didn't have one at the time) has quite crappy games now, and they come out late.

And that is my opinion, fwiw.

Yes, there should at least be a notice on word count.

I take it you're referring to me since I mentioned Big Fish and I believe I already stated why - They don't have Fun Pass or the game review system. If the Fish had these 2 things, I would be there. I do visit there occasionally that's how I know about game releasing I'm no longer one for "buying" games as that's why I'm a Fun Pass member. Once I've played it, I've played it. Only a few games I go back and replay.

Gamehouse does have some good games here (last few games I've played not so great) but as I mentioned need to step it up a bit and I'm not the only one who has said that. Check out post #154 on the "Making GameHouse A Better Site" discussion. Plus there's many more I'm sure.

continued since ran out of room (yes fix this 1000 character)

Also a game on the "upcoming soon" list - well 7 to 8 months later and game STILL isn't here is hardly "upcoming soon" in my opinion. If it's not going to be here within a month, 2 months MAX, well it doesn't belong on the "upcoming soon" list. Should be taken off. I did read where the game is supposed to be released on September 8th - well I sure hope so and should be my best game play ever.

On a positive note: I do enjoy the lounge here

As for canceling things with Big Fish -no but wouldn't surprise me; with other businesses yes and it never ceases to amaze me how fast a company can charge your debit/credit card for something as it pretty much shows up immediately but to get a refund takes anywhere from a few days to a month and sometimes even longer, if a refund is suppose to be given. Yeah and as far as "canceling" to stop billing pretty much an "act of Congress" so to speak.

The majority of companies are your friend so to speak but after they get your money, then they could care less what you think and how you feel. You find that about anywhere I guess. That's nothing new!

The other posters also mentioned BF, but since you respond--Of three (four if you count RA and Gamehouse as 2 companies) game sites, it was only Bigfish that kept charging until I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. So that was new to me. Also, most companies will treat you right to keep your business, and even when you cancel, thinking maybe you'll come back if they treat you right, like here both you and I are back at Gamehouse (RA) after trying different places. Well, I hope the games you're waiting for come out soon. I'm looking forward to the Wedding one, too.

I've never LEFT GameHouse, meaning canceled my membership and then came back . I was with RA for a few years and then merged over to GameHouse when they took over. I do check out Big Fish once or twice a month and yes in the past have purchased a few games. I could pretty much count them on both hands, game purchases from there. Before becoming a Fun Pass member here, I've got pages and pages of game purchases. But I mainly just do the trial version of a game there and then hope that GameHouse gets it here because I do like GameHouse set up better as I mentioned Fun Pass and Review system.

I will however stick by what I said, GameHouse does need to step it up a bit getting games released.
