You can download the Free Game for tomorrow if you are a FunPass or FunTicket member.

One thing they could do was to make sure that the free game of the day is not a repeat. since ra became gamehouse, the free game of the day has repeatedly offered the same games over and over. for those of us who use this service everyday, it seems a bit of a cheat to be offered the same game again and again. i now get maybe 10 or more repeats every month. way too many! was told in an email that it is done randomly by computer and no one checks to see if the game has already been offered. change this!!

In the old RA forums, you had the option to be notified by email if someone replied to your post. That would make it very helpful if you are having a problem with a game or download. you would know when and if someone had a answer for you. please consider adding this feature.

Well this really doesn't affect my life since I'm now a Fun Pass member however I was reading another discussion on here about Game Pass & Fun Ticket credits and since you have a lot of members I'm sure who have this...Why do credits expire especially since the member PAID FOR THEM? And why are they only allowed to have 4 at one time?? Sorry and honestly not to be rude here but that's absurd.

I tend to be one who plays a lot of games but not everyone's game play is the same for whatever reason. Plus in my opinion, if a member does cancel their membership, there should be something on the website when they do cancel that they have for example 30 or 60 days to use their credits OR A REFUND WILL BE GIVEN TO THEM if the credits haven't been used within this amount of time.

What may seem like a simple suggestion can become a major project and time investment to engineer a solution and plan out its implementation. This doesn't mean that we won't do it, only that we have to schedule or coordinate our resources to do it right

Now I'm just asking here. And I'm so sorry Bill as I know I told you I wouldn't bring this up again but I can't help it, this really irks me. I sure hope Gamehouse is really working on this.

Is this the reason there still isn't at least "tenative" date for the games on the upcoming soon list? So we can at least have some kinda of idea when they will be on the horizon? I don't know just seems to me that if you know the game is supposedly suppose to be "on the horizon" no reason you couldn't put a "tenative" date on it when you launch it to the site letting us know it's "coming soon" unless there is more to it than I'm aware of and this is more of a "major project" here is why I mentioned what nhernandez stated in another post.

Well you ask so here goes. Right after i signed up for GH both funticket and Funpass, I had a problem with the game Love and Death Bitten. I contacted TS and was told I didn't have a Video card on my computer and that is why the game wouldn't play. Went to BF and downloaded the free trial and it played fine. Came back to GH and was able to play the game all the way through. MAYBE YOU NEED TO TRAIN YOUR TECHS BETTER ,so that they know what they are talking about. Anytime I have trouble with one of ur games I go toBF and download the trial if they have it. Then it works on GH. So try to figure that one out.
Oh and everyone is right 1000 is very limited. And walkthrough would be great. I also go to BF for those they don't charge. Otherwise I am satisfied with GH games, but it would be great if we knew when the sequeals were comming out instead of having to wait months.

Just had a second thought. Newest post should go at the top of the forums. If you can take time to be on both Twitter and Facebook. Your tech dept should have plenty of time for writing walk throughs for those of us who may not want to use live chat , or the forums to find answers. And your company certianly has time to train your tech support personnel on how to answer ?s. Instead of telling coustomers they don't have the right drivers or video cards. This could cost someone alot of money if they were to take their computer in to have new hardware installed when they already have it.

Now that you say that Pixiegirl about video card drivers I was told the same thing which I'm sure they were out of date and so glad I was able to find a free update on the internet.

The problem for me and my game Mortimer Beckett ended up being my internet security was blocking the game which that tech was very helpful. Actually like a breath of fresh air. One of the nicest people I've ever dealt with in regards to getting any kind of help/support such as this. Just bumped my faith in mankind up a whole notch.

With that said... I do find it odd that I can play HUNDREDS of games and only ONE having an issue with internet security blocking it from playing?????????

I'm extremely happy w/GH & my FunPass & have already seen a seen number of positive changes implemented in a short time.

I think your review system is super, but I have a glitch with it.
Specifically, I like to vote for the reviewers whose reviews are especially helpful & detailed, yet after I do a vote (logged in), I get kicked out of the review section, have to return & scroll, scroll to get back to the last review I'd been reading; then usually after 3rd vote-kickout-return sequence, I get kicked to a blank page?
It's not a big deal but discouraging to my efforts to let those reviewers know how much I appreciate their contributions to the site.

Why does this happen?
Is it due to my using Firefox, not IE, perhaps?
(Thanks for any feedback.)

I think you should get games quicker than you do. For example the new Burger Bustle game I have had since
Burger Bustle
Purchased on 06/14/10 on Bigfish

Do you realize how much money you are losing in getting games in so late?

I have still been using the Real Arcade stub because I love it soooo much and up until about 2 weeks ago, I could still get the stub to update with new games every week and now it won't update at all. Bring the stub BACK!!!! I will never pay to be a GH member because of the price. Each time I try to go thru the site to download a game, my computer freezes up at the beginning and it is very annoying, this doesn't happen with any other game site. Love my Bigfish!!

I hate to complain about any site but I came from Real Arcade and I was thinking that I hated that GH was taking over but I gave it a chance. I have had many problems with GH and to tell you the truth I am hoping that you get more games, good ones. I am thinking about canceling my membership because the games are just so boring. I don't really want to use my funtickets because I am so unhappy about the choices your site has now. Get some of the games that Gamezebo has. I have been looking for more HO games and they have many I never see on here. Please get with the other sites, game wise because you will loss many gamers, me as one of them. Gamezebo has the sequels to many games I have originally bought from here, please get those sequels, that is what will make me stay with GH. I am not really trying to hate on your site, I really want to stay but get with it.

Here's an idea. Quit making hidden object games. Your developers even put in som travel trail crap and call it an adventure game. Really? There has been 1 other game this month that was not a hidden object game. We would like to see real adventure games like avyond, legend of zelda, etc. or time mgmt games on the line of grims hatchery, farm 51, Virtual families etc. Hope to see some variety soon. Tx for listening. Sue

Hello everybody,

We continue to monitor this thread and take note of your suggestions. Thank you for your feedback.

We've had some important announcements to make in this Forum today, and we have quite a few "sticky" topics at the moment. So I'm making this topic a "normal" thread, which will continue to be moved up as new posts are made, in order to make a little more room for the newest "sticky" topics.

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

Best wishes,
Bill

Yeah here's a suggestion: I know I and many here have told you that you need to step it up a bit getting games released however... Stop releasing games with "known issues." Why are you trying to tick off people right from the get go? A good example: I just can't believe that some of us have been waiting for that Star Crossed Love game since JANUARY. It was supposed to be released on the 8th of this month and now it won't be until the 10th and already with "known issues" I must add. Oh and of course it would have to be with some versions of Windows 7 is what I have and I'm sure will probably be mine as I just read through it. If this does get released on the 10th and I can't play it, oh trust me you will be hearing from me. As I also mentioned if it's not going to be released on the 10th then please, OH PLEASE, STOP THE MADNESS and take it off the upcoming soon list and don't release it until all issues are fixed. I understand the "tweaking" of game release dates but this is beyond RIDICULOUS! Plus as long as we have been waiting this game should have NO ISSUES! Good gravy!

Posted on Wed Sep 08 23:39:04 PDT 2010

Hi sportygal,

We value your feedback and we appreciate your comments, which I shared with the game's Producer.

Our Content and Games Release teams do their absolute best to offer the most enjoyable experience with every game we offer. Because there are so many hundreds of moving parts, if you will, to get a game from initial design through software development and to our website issues will sometimes arise. When they do we must make the call to release the game with known issues published or not release the game.

Demand for Star Crossed Love has been high - nobody knows this better than yourself. And none of the known issues should prevent a person from playing the game to completion and enjoying the experience. Yes, there are several issues described but they are rather idiosyncratic as opposed to being show-stopping. And regarding the Win7 issue...it will only happen if you play in windowed mode AND lock your computer (I revised my forum post to include the Windowed mode caveat, which was explained to me today).

I believe you will be able to play Star Crossed Love and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for your steadfast support of this title and for your patience in awaiting its release.

Best wishes,

Bill

Well while you are "sharing my comments" at least I hope so, the so called producers of this game should be absolutely ashamed of themself for this wreck of a game. I waited almost 8 MONTHS for this CHEESY CRAP? So this was the best they could come up with? That's pretty sad in my opinion. Well no wonder it took so long to release as I wouldn't want to release this wreck of a game either. This so called game was NOTHING like I thought it would be. Not that this game was too hard but will admit it did take me a bit to figure out what to do (navigate). Most games I enjoy that; the thinking of where to go/what to do next but not this CHEESY CRAP. Oh I didn't have any issues as far as the "known issues" as mentioned. I was able to play fine in that regard but I knew pretty much from the first scene I wasn't going to like this game having to search around the room for clues about her best friend, favorite building, food, etc. Well I can definitely see why she was "star crossed" not knowing these to open her email. Oh and then there was one HOG scene right outside the window of apartment that darn near made me nauseous and gave me a headache the flashing light and "movement." Took a few minutes to recovery from that but hung in there as I thought it just might get better and I played this until I got to the "supersticious" cabbie - wouldn't let her in the taxi until she found hub caps, license plate and make a star? OMG! I actually LOL as I couldn't believe the "cheesiness" I was having to do to move along in this wreck of a game. That's when this game definitely hit the top of my "stop madness, cut off, and pull the plug" list of games. The ridiculous cheesy things I had to do to move forward in this game. I quit playing at that point I almost canceled my membership here I was so disgusted and annoyed which is still under consideration if you people don't step it up on release of good HOG games instead of this CHEESY CRAP which by the way I wouldn't even consider this game a HOG at least compared to the many I've played. This is by far one of the worst, poorest excuse of a game I've ever played. I hated absolutely everything about this game. Not one thing I liked. Also one of my harshest reviews about a game. Yeah there's been games I haven 't liked but this takes the cake and the pie too especially considering how long I waited to play this. I honestly don't mean to be rude but you people really need to step it up on game releasing and I'm not the only one who has said this. YES, I AM TICKED! P'd off is more like it! Yes please do forward this to the producers of this game.

As for the Content and Games Release team well they obviously didn't play this game because it's CHEESY CRAP. As for my steadfast support, it's running very thin right now. For the past working on a year now I have been the #1 contributor to your site here as far as games and reviews go. Over the last few months I've received these emails "Thanks for being the #1 contributor to our site." So enlighten me, do tell - what does that mean? Back in May I was offered a game that didn't work I must add and was given a LONG DISTANCE phone number to get it working = NOT. I wasn't offered live chat support otherwise I would of done that as I wasn't aware it exhisted. Haven't been offered anything since then.

continued since I ran out of room:

Long story short this place started out pretty fun but is slowly going right to the toilet. So if you are seriously reading/listening/want to improve, well it ought to be to the people who do the most contributing to your site here. Yeah I check out the Fish once or twice a month but 99.9% of my game play has been here which I think is evident. So with all due respect here, lets STOP THE MADNESS AND BS excuses and step it up. I'm also not the only one who feels this way. I will give you this much: About a month ago I did use your live chat tech support because I was made aware it exhisted and that guy was very nice; actually bumped my faith in mankind up a whole notch. Best keep him around. I even mentioned it in my review for that game. I always give credit where credit is due. I was reading in the lounge about a Gamehouse layoff not too long ago and I wouldn't want to see any of you get the "shute." So again, STOP MADNESS - STEP UP!

Today you and Iwin gave us PI SanFrancisco You have given me tech problems with downloading with this message like I'm not connected to the internet while I downloaded it at Iwin with NO PROBLEM at all like I said with the last game I had problems with that you always addressed like it was my computer's fault not your site's glitches ... who is trying to sabotage you guys that the same games can be loaded off of other sites but not yours? I'm loyal to you but it wears thin with the constant irritation about downloads.

Hello '1tonia' -- Thank you for your comments, and thank you for your loyalty to GameHouse. We greatly appreciate your business and support.

We regret the inconvenience and ask that you kindly try again; I believe you will be successful in downloading and playing the game.

Thank you for your patience and for playing at GameHouse!

The main suggestions I have that would make the experience here better are concerning the Game Manager. Have it alert you automatically that there are updates to games you have previously installed.

Also - it drives me nuts that it only displays 10 at a time by default. I would like to be able to set it to display all 50 or just do it automatically no matter how many games I have.

Last, if I try to "buy" a game from Game Manager, it insists on opening Internet Explorer to try to complete the purchase. I use Google Chrome and have it set as my default browser. I purchase games here all the time using it so it does work with the GH site. The only reason I have that hunk o junk IE still around is for a few caveman-oriented sites that haven't caught up with technology yet OR Microsoft sites that refuse to use anything other than that.

Other than those, I'm pretty happy with the way things work around here.

I think it's important that Gamehouse add a feature which will allow members to access game walkthroughs. Right now there is no way that I which enables me to find walkthroughs for games that I have purchased and that don't have an integrated walkthrough. I end up going to another site to find walkthroughs and this is very inconvenient.

Yeah here's another suggestion: I wish these games would note if they have a widescreen option to them or not because I've now come across 4 games, my most recent is that Finding Hope game that doesn't recognize widescreen monitors before I take the time to download them as I'm getting FED UP wasting time and bandwith on my computer just to find that when I download a game I've got several inches of black space on both sides of the screen. The game doesn't fill the whole screen. Nothing more annoying in my opinion.

I just honestly can not believe that we are coming up on the year 2011, widescreens have been out for awhile, I know I'm not the only one who owns one and plays games and some of these games that have been recently released don't recognize widescreen? The older games do so why not the ones that are being recently released here? I don't get that at all? LOL!

These game developers, creators, or whatever they want to call themself need to stop the madness and get with the program here.

P.S. And Mr. Bill (Gamehouse) already got my feedback on the Exorcist game to tell that developer.

Some of the wide screen games stretch things to make them fill the screen. The shakes in Burger Shop 2 turn out short and unappetizing looking. I guess it depends on how tall your screen is too. I don't know what it has to do with the Gamehouse site but just thought I'd mention.

Well you obviously don't have a widescreen. It has everything to do with their site. I should be able to download a game without having several inches of black space on both sides of the screen as the game is in the middle. They could at the very least put in the game description whether or not the game accommodates a wide screen monitor cause if I saw it didn't, I wouldn't even download it. As I also stated widescreens have been out for awhile and I'm sure I'm not the only one who owns one and plays games plus we're coming up on the year 2011 so these game developers should get with it and make games that can be played in a regular size screen and widescreen without making them looking unappetizing as you put it.

I don't know whether anyone has suggested this but I think that regarding customer service, there should be the option to allow customers to exchange games for those of equivalent value, in the event that the game they purchased isn't working or for whatever reason. I have asked customer service-a long time ago but still lol-about whether this option was possible but never got a straight answer on it.

As for me, I had an issue with Cake Mania 2 sometime back and so decided to purchase the game elsewhere so I could continue to enjoy playing it. I would have asked for a game exchange then but I have no idea if Gamehouse allows for that. :/

Two more things to add:

1 - it is difficult to find your post in the forums again once you create a topic. (Maybe there is a way to find "my posts" but if there is, I haven't had luck in finding it)

2 - Yesterday I saw that there was a Samantha Swift bundle for sale - I was interested but wasn't sure which games it consisted of. Nowhere could I find that actual game titles included. I ended up having to memorize the pictures shown and then go to other sites to compare the images to find out what games were included!

I find the limit to be a rip off. I had problems getting downloads to run. So I am supposed to willy nilly buy games that I can't use just so I use up my credits in time. I also don't like the idea that I am supposed to let someone run wily nilly in my computer when I have a problem with games.

Make more accessible games. An accessible game is one that has big graphics, custom pointers that are bigger than standard winows pointers, not too visually distracting (yes, visual excitement sells games, but for some it's too confusing), and distinguishable symbols on the pieces for colorblind users - kudos to GameHouse for creating quite a few of these games!

Make sure all spoken parts have captions, and on the match 3 with symbols, make sure the background is not too similar to the foreground For example, don't use brown on yellow. Also, make sure there is a big enough color difference between pieces that need to be removed versus pieces that don't. DesktopZoom is a free program that can put the screen in grayscale. It is also a screen magnifier: http://users.telenet.be/littlegems/MySoft/DesktopZoom/Index.html

Also, make more games with no time limits. Give the options for timed or untimed, custom cursors or windows cursors, extra visual effects or not, etc.

Well I'm no longer a part of the Petty Larceny Program better known as the Fun Tickets and/or Game Pass which the Game Pass was a Real Arcade thing and no longer offered here. I now have the Fun Pass. I totally agree with you, I think it is a RIP OFF that's why I called it petty larceny. Members pay for those tickets. They should be able to rack those up until the cows come home so to speak as long as Gamehouse gets their money every month I don't see what the big whoopie do is. Use them on game they really enjoy. If they do decide to cancel their membership well it's just as easy to credit back a credit card as it is to charge to it.

Oh and while I'm on a roll here, why doesn't Gamehouse start releasing some good games on the weekend instead of this cheesy crap they've been releasing lately? Most people I know work during the week and don't have a whole lot of time for game playing so it seems to me you'd release something worth while on the weekend. You should have a new game every day for your customers to play.

Well as for this and I no longer buy games since I'm a Fun Pass member or very rarely but the only good I see of the bundles is for newcomers and/or people who don't have any games offered in the bundle as that is an excellent deal if you buy games to get 2 or sometimes even 3 games for $6.99 or use a Fun Ticket HOWEVER I bet it does tick some people off who had bought the games when they first came out and now being offered as a bundle deal.

One more little tid bit about the Fun Tickets, I understand you're not going to let a member use 1 ticket for a premium edition game which is now $13.99 to members as one fun ticket only has a $6.99 value but seems like you could let them use TWO tickets for a premium edition game.

Edited to say: To be quite honest NOT ALL but most so called premium edition games that I've played tend to be a rip off in my humble opinion; wanting members to pay an extra $7.00 above the standard version price. Not too much game play outside of the regular version. The so called walk through to help you along in the game, some games I haven't even needed it or sometimes when I've needed it, not even helpful and can't finish the game. The wall papers and such I've never used any of that, maybe some people have? Just so glad I now have Fun Pass and can play through the premium edition all the way or if I get stuck and no help without buying it, cause if I didn't have Fun Pass and bought some of these premium edition games well I'd be ticked.

On a positive note: I am so glad to see that the upcoming list has the 7, 30, and 60 days for games. Now we have some kind of idea when games are coming however why does it take so long to remove games that have already been released as I see several are still on the list?

Burger Bustle
Purchased on 06/14/10 on Bigfish

Do you realize how much money you are losing in getting games in so late?

It seems that Big Fish is a real contender! And without all the techno excuses either! One of the best things going for them is they don't harrass you with all those obnoxious advertisements! They provide more complex gaming and walkthroughs to boot. In order to compete, GH is gonna have to step it up lots of notches.

.. I enjoy your Free Game of The Day .. But, I finally goofed!..Apparently!..And forgot to remove the check for Google Chrome! Now, I'm stuck with it Darn It .. Horrors! I was happy & comfortable with the version I had .. I ''hate'' what was sneakily (sp.?) given me !! .. Would it really be ''so'' bad to leave the boxes ''empty'' & allow people to ''chose'' what they download..Really !..If there's a way to go back to my previous version, Do Tell! 2nd, I dread making this mistake again, I may inadvertently download ''yet another'' unwanted Program or Update .. I've thought GameHouse is the greatest for a long time .. I can't believe you'd want ''even'' a few people thinking otherwise! I welcome the Ads since they actually pay for our enjoyment & in return just want us to be aware of their product .. It's a good deal .. However, having to ''uncheck'' a box, NOT to download .. it just seems underhanded. Please change this

Well for starters when you contact support you should be able to update your discussion using Internet Explorer instead of having to start a new chat every time. Outside of Gamehouse Nick, Albert, Arvin and Jason that posts here the rest of your tech support SUCKS that I've dealt with today. You best keep these 4 on your payroll. The next person you deal with says they need to read the previous chat session but you end up providing the same info all over again.

I'd also like to know how I can play about 90% of a game and then all of a sudden my Windows 64-bit is no longer compatible for the game? Your so called tech support told me this BS a few months back on the otherside of Eons game and come to find out, the developers had to get involved because the game had issues. Didn't have SQUAT to do with my windows 64-bit.

How about implementing a beta test program where members can help you test games to find the bugs? You could offer participation rewards based on the level of participation the member gives. This would help to relieve the pressure on your staff and help the members to feel like they are a provifding a valuable asset to Gamehouse.

Also, it would be very helpful if when you send a request for us to update a post, you would include a link to that post do we could easily find it instead of having to search for it.
