Any recourse on Free Games that don't work?

If a Free Game of the Day doesn't work after a while, is there anything I can do? The games aren't registered, they are not listed in the "redownload my games" section. I know I didn't pay anything, but there are a few games I've downloaded that my family likes to play, but either they have a glitch or the shortcut stops working and we can't access them anymore. Any suggestions?

I don't think there is anything you can do, it's an as is with those games. The only thing you can do is buy the games you like and then you can redownload those games and get support for them. You can not redownload ad games unless they are games you can redownload on gamehouse that are in the free section. So if there is something wrong you are out of luck.

I would recommend buying them with a funticket for $6.99 and all other games are $6.99 too.

http://www.gamehouse.com/free-games (Those are the free games on you can download again). I might download that zuma. I have Vista and am unsure how that game will play. I was looking at this one http://www.gamehouse.com/download-games/zumas-revenge-adventure, but don't like the fact that it is only single mode version (whatever that is).

I have that same problem with Elf Bowling Hawiian vacation. I got it as a free game and the story mode freezes up but I can play the single mode just fine. My question is if I buy the game from the dowloaded free game will the story mode still be frozen since it's essentially the same game? I hope that makes sense to someone. Thanks.

Sure it makes sense to me. I am sorry I don't have the slightest idea it probably could, but you have support with your game too and if it don't work you could ask for a refund. What I would do is if I were you is sign up for funticket offered on gamehouse.com and get the game with that. It really is worth it $6.99 and not $19.99. You could even get a free trial and get the game with that.

I have gamepass and I love it.

Thanks for answering, I have always bought for 19.99 because I did'nt know if I wanted to do a commitment. What you say makes sense so I think I'll hop on over to the site and read the rules for gamepass.

Just from my experience- not a thing. Even if the game doesnt work that day. They will reply with the standard canned messages, & say they recommend uninstalling & redownloading, but obviously you can't.(Only I HAVE done just that on many free games that went weird same day- no change).
Some of them never work from day 1, some work fine, then after I dont play a week or two, when I load it again, they mysteriously begin erroring out/crashing -as if they have some sort of built in "expiration" which they of course arent supposed to have.

In the end they will say its free so there isnt much they can do.

I just wonder if when you purchase a game with problems, does the tech support actually solve anything or do they rely on the same canned answers that ignore your answers?
Do they even give you any better tech support for nonworking games when you have the monthly pass thing since you technically arent buying the games? Hmmmm.
Questions Im reluctant to find the answers to.

And I believe this is the crux of the matter. I wouldn't pay for a game that has errors in the trial version. If the company doesn't support every game they have why should we spend money at their website? We can do that at other companies and even the publishers websites. We may get more support there, too.

I think the errors I have seen have all been in the free games- its a result of them including the software that interrupts the game with the commercials, and when you have the whole intact game it runs fine. Its the way the commercial software interacts with, or was meshed with, the game that creates the problems. Some mesh better than others- some generate alot of errors.
I have never ran into any trials that errored, I imagine if they did its a problem with the person's hardware being incompatible, not a flaw in the game or every single person who d/l the game would be complaining it didnt work.

Well, I bought the game after a few minutes of playing it with one of my fun tickets and after the second 'chapter' in story mode it simply doesn't work... this frustrates me, yet again, as I have had to 'eat' my money and scratch it off as another 'bad purchase' decision ... because I'm sure I will not get my 'money' back on this!!! Why do they 'sell' BAD games? If you go to a store and buy something and bring it home and it doesn't work you can take it back and get your money back. I am so canceling my membership if they don't give me my money back! ugh!!!
