Announcing Platinum Edition Games **Updated**

Hi Everyone,

We’re excited to launch Princess Isabella – Return of the Curse Platinum Edition this week on GameHouse. Since this is our first Platinum Edition, we want to take a moment to tell you more about this new game type.

Similar to Premium Edition games, Platinum Editions are special versions of our best games that include extended gameplay, plus exclusive features not available in the standard version of the game. These features can include bonus levels, extra games, integrated Strategy Guides, wallpapers, trophies, alternate endings, concept art, and much more.

The retail price for a Platinum Edition game is $19.99. FunPass, FunTicket, and GamePass members can buy Platinum Edition games for $13.99, a discount of 30% off the retail price. You can learn more about our membership benefits here.

As part of our GameHouse Rewards program, you also get 4,000 bonus coins with every Platinum Edition game purchase. That’s double the amount of coins you get with a standard game purchase.

Note to FunPass members: GameHouse is proud to bring these popular games to our players. However, due to considerations with the developers, Platinum Edition games are unavailable for play with FunPass, but you may still purchase Platinum Editions at the member-only 30% discount price. And, of course, as a FunPass member you continue to get unlimited play of over 1,300 full-version games, including more than 20 Premium Edition games. FunPass members also now get a special bonus of 10,000 coins every month – enough to get one free game, yours to keep.

We hope you enjoy playing Princess Isabella – Return of the Curse Platinum Edition. Look for more Platinum Editions coming soon!

Best to you all,
Bill

Dear GameHouse Community,

Thank you for posting your comments and questions regarding the new Platinum Edition Games.

We are bringing Platinum Edition games to GameHouse per the request of many of our customers who have expressed an interest in this content, which had been previously unavailable to us. In order for GameHouse to offer you these games, we are not contractually able to offer them for FunPass play. We will be offering standard versions of these games, which will be included for FunPass play, as soon as those standard editions are available to us.

We still have over 1,300+ games that are available with FunPass and it is our intent to continue growing that number substantially as well as offering up more Premium Editions, with bonus content that will be included with FunPass, including our exclusive Mortimer Beckett and the Crimson Thief Premium Edition coming soon.

Although the Platinum Edition games are not available for FunPass play, we are able to still offer the $13.99 discounted member price for purchase. And all Platinum Edition games will still offer the free 60-minute trial. As with Premium Games, Platinum Games are not available for purchase with FunTickets, GamePass Credits or GameHouse coins at this time. We have recently added new benefits to FunPass, including the monthly GameHouse Coin rewards, and we will continue to offer more benefits to our FunPass members moving forward.

As we are able, we look forward to offering more Platinum Edition games - and their standard editions playable with FunPass - at the same time. Thanks for playing at GameHouse!

Hi FunPass Members,

Thank you for the feedback you’ve given us about the release of our first Platinum Edition game today. We want to assure you that we’ve heard your concerns and are working hard to address them. Moving forward, we will strive to release both the standard and Platinum editions of a game at the same time, whenever possible. All standard editions of Platinum games will be available for unlimited play with your FunPass membership. Our goal is to release the best, highest quality content to all members of the GameHouse community, as soon as we have it available from our developer partners. With Princess Isabella – Return of the Curse, we were not yet able to release the standard edition of the game with the Platinum Edition and chose to release the Platinum Edition first. We’re happy to announce that the standard edition of Princess Isabella will be released and available for unlimited play with FunPass on September 22.

Thank you again for the feedback you provided us today.

Hi Bill

You've said that the Platinum Editions aren't available to buy with GH coins, but I bought Princess Isabella Return of the Curse with mine, so.....

Can't redownload it though, the installer crashed! Is the trial version smaller, because it takes a very long time to install?

Cheers
Mimi2010

PS: I'm still waiting for a refund of the extra coins taken when I bought this game (I didn't complete the purchase but they went anyway). Any ideas? Thanks!

Bill - maybe it would be possible to put these Platinum games in a new game genre listing. That way I, for one, wouldn't get frustrated downloading one of these games (which take a long time) and then finding out I can't play it out with my FunPass. I just bought one game because I thought is was a download problem or something and I really wanted to play it but I'm surely not going to continue doing that AND pay for my annual FunPass also. If the listings for these types of games were separate from the ones we could play and finish out it would really be helpful and save lots of frustration and resentment.
Thanks for thinking about it
