Well I installed both updates and the game still runs slow and choppy and looks dreadful. I found selecting objects difficult because the cameras are constantly moving.
I heard this game was developed for Windows 7. The system requirements do not mention Windows XP. I guess the majority of us are out of luck.

I downloaded the additional software and was able to open the game. Got as far as the Paris Take 1 tutorial, but when it tried to open the Take 1, it kept encountering an error with a report sent to Microsoft. So, it looks like I won't be able to play this game....looks like fun though.

P. S. I didn't download the 2nd download....that may be an issue. Myabe I will try it later.

P.P.S. I'm able to play the game now with the 2nd download!! Yay! It's a very unigue game...having fun already. Thank you.

Hi there, and thanks for taking time to post your concerns. I'm sorry to learn of your frustration while playing this game.

Sunset Studios - Behind the Scenes is compatible with Windows XP; my work PC here at GameHouse runs XP Pro and all I needed was the DirectX 9.0c components for the game to play perfectly. I'll add, however, that not long ago I updated my video card's driver because I was having trouble playing another game. That quick and simple graphics driver update made all the difference in that scenario.

You might want to try doing the same, as outdated video card drivers can be an issue especially for newer games that take advantage of special graphics capabilities. To find out the video card on your computer so you can update its drivers, follow these steps:

1. Click the Windows Start button, and then click Run.

2. Type Dxdiag, and then click OK. This opens the Direct X Diagnostic Tool.

3. After the green progress bar finishes, meaning that the Direct X Diagnostics have been run to completion, click the Display tab to find the name of your computer's video card.

4. Visit the video card manufacturer's website to download the most current driver for your operating system. You can also contact the computer maker for more information.

If you need assistance with the game after making certain that your video card's drivers are up to date, feel free to call GameHouse Technical Support on 1-866-831-5895. Our Call Center Hours are:

Monday through Friday:
6:00am – 6:00pm PT

Saturday and Sunday:
7:30am – 5:00pm PT

Thanks for playing at GameHouse!
Bill

I love the effects and don't seem to have any problems with the game as a whole. My problem is I can't seem to get the "HINT" button to work. Please, if you know, let me know what I may be doing wrong.

To get the hints you click on the item in the list that you want help with and it shows you a picture of it.
