I first downloaded the trial version of this game and then decided to purchase it. After purchasing the game and unlocking it, I am now unable to play the game at all. I get error messages that say: DXRENDER.DLL Unexpected error while running this program + An exception occurred executing dynamic code. I redownloaded it 3 times and rebooted my computer 3 times also. so what is goin on with this game now?? Jax

I have just had the exact same experience having followed the exact same procedures and keep getting the exact same error mssgs! Will be glad to know if you got this resolved and how you did it! Will post same if I find out!

LOL I am still trying. I even went so far as to download it from Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled it ten times. yep and I will let you know . I have written to Gamehouse support and got an answer that told me to uninstall it and then reinstall it. DUH. . .

I got the same response from customer support after relating what happened and the steps I took in trying to resolve the problem and sent the DX DIAG I ran as suggested in the forums here. Since it was fairly obvious that the support person who replied to my help request apparently didn't even read my email I was even more frustrated so I requested to return the game for a credit and I will choose a different one instead! Sorry I'm not much more help! Hope you get better resolution!

They took the game down to fix it I suppose, but when they re-released it on January 1st, it was still having pretty much the same problems as before. I was also having the same problems, like the others who posted here, when I downloaded it in Dec.
I think they need to go back to the drawing board and try yet again. I hope that maybe this next time, before they are thinking of releasing it yet again, that someone might save a lot of time, energy and complaints by just trying it out a couple of times on a few different computers first, to make sure that ALL the bugs have been worked out. I think it looks really bad for a company's reputation, when they have supposedly fixed something but yet it still doesn't work! It just makes me wonder if I made a mistake staying on after the merge. I don't remember Real Arcade having these dilemas.
P.S BTW, it is also very hard to have a discussion with anyone from customer service when there are language barriers to deal with. I guess you guys at Gamehouse must outsource your customer service from India, at least on the weekends.

I'm getting a message that file "profile01.plr has a corrupt header" whenever I try to re-enter the game. I downloaded a second time and was able to get in and play, but when I tried to get back in today, I have the same problem! I don't want to have to keep downloading and starting over whenever I want to play the game. I'm hesitant to contact support after hearing some of the negative feedback on them.

I too am having problems with this bundle. I love the game, but the content drags and the cursor will not function properly. I got through both games a couple times, but I won't be playing anymore until the game is fixed. And if tech can't fix this game, Gamehouse should give me my money back so I can use it to purchase a game that does work!!! However, if they can't fix it, that would be a shame because these are two really interesting hidden object games.

i am having a problem with this puzzle. i just finished guatamala and am in london at the buckingham palace. i find all the pieces including tools. i use the ladder and take the chair and crown. when i use the pencil to color in the queens rose the program aborts immediately. i go back in to the game. i start at the same place, do the same thing and again use the pencil and it aborts. what is the problem?

OK, I rejoined GH and downloaded this program (I bought it) and when I try to access it, it brings up the 2 pictures on the computer screen, Roses of Athena on the left and The Golden Touch on the right. But that's all I get...no cursor, no 'play now', no nothing. I NEVER have these problems on my other game site, in fact this is why I left this site to begin with.
Any ideas? I really don't want to uninstall and reinstall...it hasn't worked in the past and I don't really expect it to now, especially after reading the other posts. I have the latest Active-X, an updated graphics card, the latest driver, a gig of RAM, so what can I do now?

I thought the same thing and felt like an idiot when all I had to do was click on the rose on the bottom left on corner on the pics.

I'm having problems with Samantha Swift Fountains of Fate. It downloaded fine the first time and I played it. When I tried to open it again it said there was an error opening it so I downloaded it again and played it. Guess what happened when I tried to play it again - yep same thing. I can't even get it to tell what type of error - it's just the Windows box with general statement that game has stopped working - "a problem caused the program to stop working correctly". Help!!

It seems there is a corrupted thread inside this game that forces you to have to purchace a program to repair the dll malfunction. This is not right nor is it acceptale. You need to fix this problem in house and supply a downloadable patch so people who spent good money on this malfuncioning game can get it fixed and resume having fun with their game.

I'm having a different problem than those. I bought this game a few years back and am redownloading it to a new computer. For some reason the 'roses of athena' part is skipping levels. I went through the first series in athens in 4 screens for some reason. I'm not sure why. When i first downloaded it, I signed in so it could register itself so it shouldn't be a walk-through version and I didn't get any further 'buy me' messages. I have no idea if others have had this same problem or not.
