More than one way to solve?

I was just reading some of the other posts and on the one asking about the wagon wheels in the kitchen, I don't remember doing anything with them but the room is cleared. Is there more than one way to clear a room?

Not sure I only played the game once, but I guess since you decide how and where to go that might change the order of each room.

Items needed were found in wheels and fairy was helpful.
