Help with Painting

Cannot figure out what I'm supposed to do when painting the scissors. There's nothing that gives me a hint and no matter what I do, I cannot get past needing to do this; cannot skip, no hints available, etc. HELP!!!

Hi Joebaby,

The scissors you just take the brush and paint it grey go over until the edges are grey as well, the whole time hold the left mouse click down. You can paint over the edges, it doesn't matter it will not get grey there. When you think you have done it, drive down to the left bottom corner and let the mouse click go. She will let you know when you are done. Now you can use the Transformation potion and you get the scissors. You place the next piece of paper and use the red color and draw the heart the same way.

Thank YOU very much. Just finished the game. What fun! It'll get you lost once in awhile but for the most part it was great.
