Can't get pass door to Second Floor

Where do you find the "Dials" for the door from the first floor to the second. I can only find one, yet it says I have two. Any ideas?

Is that the calendar? I think those are singular - meaning it won't say two. One will be in one slot of stuff you have and the other will be in its own slot. They look a lot like some other dials you have to find. BUT, my memory may be faulty.

The Fairy tells me that the dials are there but I only have one in place so I can only change the day in the date. Any ideas?

If you go to the garden thru the stables-fix the fountain,you will find the other dial there. (did you know you can open the book, go to the map page and 'jump' to a room or area by selecting it)

I've been through the whole first floor (except where you need pieces from upstairs) and did not get the second knob for the upstairs door. All areas are cleared, but my game is showing only one knob. Do I have to start the game over? Is this a bug in the program? What suggestions are out there. I've cleared the garden, the rock wall and the rock. HELP!!!!!!!

Hi Glmcc,

I have received only one knob from the cook for the cellar.
The door for the second floor needs 2 Calender dials.
One is to be found in a hidden object in the uncursed tearoom at the side table.
The second one you get in the uncursed garden; after solving the pipe puzzle, which lets the water of the fountain flow from 4 sides. You can then pick it up at the top of the fountain.

Let me know if you can now enter the second floor to the East Art Gallery, thanks!

Lagoon: thanks for the help, but I still have only one knob. I have cleared the fountain area, and the drawer in the unused hallway (which is not cleared yet because of the chest) is not opening. I smashed the jar next to the table, but I still show only one knob in my inventory. Thanks, and any more suggestions would be appreciated.

I am trying to help you, so when I write something down, don't be offended. Sometimes we don't see the things near to us, because we search to far, happens to me as well.
When one piece is missing it is somewhere, so we have to check your accesses to pick it up.
I also don't understand why you talk about knobs, I had to have 2 calendar dials to set to 11 and 18 to open the door for the second floor.
I also have only two chests, one in the bedroom and one under the stairs in the observatory.

Hi Glmcc, 2/2

You have found 1 Calendar piece on top of the fountain. The other one you found in the tearoom. Did you entered the tearoom through the fireplace in the hunting gallery; After comparing 2 paintings with evil objects and lifting the curse. Now you have access to the side table for a hidden object, where you get the second calender piece!
Check your inventory list with scrolling, maybe one item is not visible.
Go to the map and see which rooms still need doing, it shows you, where it has still unsolved puzzles and you can click on it and will be automatically there. As example did you went back to the grand hall to smash the other vase? Did you cleared the haunting gallery? did you cleared the observatory?

Hi Emmadiago,

- You have a lot of help in this game. Any important information you come across in your quest will be visible in your journal, which you can access at any time.
- In the map you see which areas have open tasks and which ones are done = green circle. Just click on it and you will be automatically transported there. Every place is cursed until you lift it. In this game you don't have to walk backwards and forwards, just jump with the map.
- Hoover with your cursor over something and it changes to "Ability"cursor, choose on the menu for fairy's power (she is located at the upper right corner).
- Click on the hint button, when it is recharged. By hidden objects it shows you where it is. If you are stuck, the fairy will show you the area, where you have to do something in this room (when no reaction comes you have to go to an other location).
If you get badly stuck, you can send a message on the game forum.
