Hi,
I just noticed that PopCap has released a 'Game of the Year' edition of this game. If you purchased the game directly from PopCap, it is a free upgrade. Does anyone know if GameHouse either has or is going to get this version of the game? Thanks!

Hi there,

Please take a look at the new "sticky" thread at the top of this forum. Plants vs. Zombies™ - Game of the Year Edition is now available at GameHouse!

Cheers,
Bill

I redownloaded the game and see no difference. Am I suppose to throw out my original game? When I launch the new redownloaded game, it still has all my information in the game and where I left off. Does anyone know how to make it work?

Hello 'latkah' - thank you for your post!

I apologize for the confusion and I have edited the title of my 'sticky' post to accurately reflect that the Game of the Year Edition of Plants vs. Zombies is available now for PC.

I'll post here again just as soon as I know when the Mac version will be available. Stay tuned!

Thanks for your patience, and again I'm sorry for the confusion.

Bill

Same here, and frankly, Bill, your answer has nothing to do with the question, at least I don't see the connection.

I can re-download the game, or download it from a fresh start, but it still is only the standard version. Which I guess means that the links on here still link to the old version, instead of the goty-installer.

Bill, still confused. Are you saying the new version is only for the PC and not for the Mac? Thank you.

Please accept my apology for the confusion caused by my previous reply.

At the moment the Game of the Year Edition of Plants vs. Zombies is available at GameHouse only for the PC. The Mac version should be available soon although I do not yet have a specific date/time for its release. I will post here again when it is live on GameHouse.com.

latkah...my initial reply to you was based upon my knowledge that you had purchased the original Mac version, but I should have been more clear to you and to everyone reading this topic.

Maddin...re-downloading the game (PC version) from your "My Purchased Games" list on GameHouse.com is designed to overwrite the previously installed version with the new one. The download or re-download link, as the case may be, are each pointing to the Game of the Year Edition. If you have performed the re-download and installation you can check to see which version is installed. For most PC customers the path to follow will be:

C:\GameHouse Games\Plants vs. Zombies(TM)

Opening the "Version.txt" file within the game's folder will display the following Version ID for the Game of the Year Edition:

GH 1.1 - gh_20100727065001

If you are seeing a different Version ID after re-downloading the PC version please contact GameHouse Customer Support for assistance. Clicking on the Support link beneath the My GameHouse tab on our website will take you to a page that hosts a link to "Contact Customer Support."

I hope that helps for now...and to our Mac customers, please stay tuned for more news about the availability of Plants vs. Zombies Game of the Year Edition for Mac.

Thank you,
Bill

Hello,

Perhaps it might be a good idea to list it as "Coming Soon" since it is still not available for Mac?

Just a suggestion.

Yesterday the description on the Mac page was for the old game. Today it is for the new game but the down load is still the old game. People who do not own the game already are paying for something they are not getting. I have just informed live chat of this.

Hi 'nanaberta,'

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your feedback and we're very sorry for your inconvenience and frustration.

I'm pleased to report to you, and to everyone participating in or reading this thread, that Plants vs. Zombies for Mac "Game of the Year Edition" is now available for purchase at GameHouse or redownload, if the previous version was purchased and installed, from one's My Purchased Games list.

The Mac version of the Game of the Year Edition can be purchased by following this URL directly to the game's page on GameHouse.com:

http://www.gamehouse.com/mac-games/macintosh-plants-vs-zombies

From there they can click the Redownload button to obtain the new Game of the Year Edition, which will overwrite the previously installed version.

We appreciate the support of our Mac customers who waited patiently over the last two days for the Game of the Year Edition.

Thanks for your business! We're glad to have you playing at GameHouse.

It was fun making up my own zombie, but nothing was said about the fact that the dancing zombie and his group has changed. I really like them the way there were before and am not real happy with the new ones.

I heard that the Michael Jackson camp wanted it taken off the game. So that's why updates have been made to all versions of PvZ = PC/Mac, iPad, iPhone, etc.
