As soon as I got near the end of the "Romeo & Juliet" chapter, the game repeatedly crashed to the desktop. I have Win XP SP3 with all the latest drivers. Has anyone else had this happen?

Hi there, I'm with the QA dept at Gamehouse and was wondering if you were playing the trial period or purchased the game? Also, how much ram do you have and what type of graphics card? We haven't heard from any other customers about this problem so any info you could provide would be great! I would also suggest contacting support to let them know of your issue, thanks!

Hi Chuck, I am a FunPass member so I was using the FunPass tab to log in. I have 2 GB of RAM and a Nvidia 8800 GT video card with the current drivers. Hope that helps. Thanks!

I would uninstall and reinstall the game first off and try it again using FunPass. As your ram is a little low for the games these days make sure you're not running any other apps while playing. If it crashes again in the same spot try not logging in on FunPass and play the trial. With the amount of gameplay you've experienced you should be able to get pass the point that it is crashing and then you could continue on logged in to FunPass. If that still doesn't work I would contact support so they can get more detailed with you as I'm a bit hesitant to put my cell phone number up on a forum! : )

Hi all-
I guess I'm not the only one whose game is crashing,,, but not to the desktop.. the whole computer crashes, and restarts.. at first it happened when I hit any key to skip the beginning story to get to the game...I un/reinstalled the game, but no help; then with Mike from Tech Support, it crashed when the book displayed for Chapter 1.. then we shared screens and he downloaded his version of the game,, I was able to play the first screen/chapter, then when I clicked on Ch 2 and got the book, it crashed again.. I also have 2 GB of Ram, and running Windows XP, Direct X Drivers, version 9.0c, and I have a ATI Radeon 7500 series graphics card. Zack from Tech Support, also helped and my AVG firewall or antivirus is not interfering..also, running it in Window 95 instead of Windows 2000 compatibility doesn't help.. it still crashes at Ch 2. I've wasted 40 minutes of my trial hour and haven't been able to play/I uninstalled.. hope this helps!

My game freezes up with a flickering screen in the Romeo and Juliet chapter. I think it's the game. I have Windows 7, 8GB Ram, Nvidia Geforce GTS 240 with latest driver. It's a shame, it could have been a great game.

well I've played about 20min. so far and it seems really fun. I haven't experienced any tech problems yet. The most recent post I see is 6/08. Have the problems been resolved or????? I'd really like to buy it but if it's got more bugs than a $2.00 flop house I'll pass. So.....what's up?

My once mighty computer is now 10 years old and creaky with only a 933MHz Pentium-III and 1/2 GB of memory. (I know, I know...I need a new computer.) But I just want to mention that the website's statement of minimum memory of 1/2 GB for this game is wrong, wrong, wrong!

The system was five minutes into just the loading (not downloading) of the trial version. I switched to Task Manager and saw the swapfile usage was over 900 MB, which brings the system to a near stop as it thrashes away trying to manage memory. Then the program aborted with several messages about failure to read program addresses.

I'll be happy to try this game again once I get a respectable machine (preferably quad-core and minimum 6 GB) but until then, as games get bigger and bigger, there are fewer of them I can run. If you don't have at least a gigabyte of memory, forget about Paige Harper and the Tome of Mystery.

game keeps kicking me out to desktop and i have to reeneter name and start again.

one thing to note is it told me it has to drop the graphics level down to low. maybe that is a clue.

not fun to keep having to start all over. the furthest i got was the 2nd room (parts and tools).

win xp sp3 756mb ram, 64 mb intel 845 video card 1gb free HD.

I also have the same issue. I play for about 10 minutes or less, then crashes to the desktop. Other games work all right, but have had problems with some I have gotten from here doing the same thing. I got the free download, so I can't delete and re-add. I think I almost made it to the end, but I don't know. VERY frustrating to have to skip mini games and go as fast as you can before it stops to desktop. Updated driver, plenty of memory, etc. Using XP

So Gamehouse, I have spoken to you on numerous occasions and you always tell me it is ME!

The first part of the program worked fine as does everyother program. But as soon as I went into Romeo and Juliet, my computer started flashing and crashing and just frustrating. All my other games give me no programs at all. My computer is relatively new with plenty of ram and hd space so it is the game that is faulty....what's wrong with it?????

IT REALLY SEEMS A LOT OF THE GOOD GAMES HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM... GLAD I DIDN'T BUY IT.... SOMEBODY PLEASE FIX THIS GAME... DID THEY EVER FIX CLEOPATRA? THAT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
