I am stuck at the safe in the cellar. Can anyone tell me what the combination is to unlock the safe?

Why won't this game allow you to pass all the "chit-chat"?
I have yet to get anywhere past talking on the phone and the guy outside the door (initial part of the game). Also, it prevents my mouse from selecting anything above 1/2 of the screen (while all the chit-chat is going on). Perhaps because they know everyone will skip it!
MADDENING! No purchase for me. If this is how the game will play throughout, I don't want any part of it.

hey. well i'm stuck with that same dull bait problem >.< but i'm just going to keep searching at daytime and at night. at night, there are glow worms under rocks and don't forget the compass by the cellar doors!

for the code, the safe code is 012932. in the other nancy drew games u usually press the MIDDLE button in between numerals but for this game, its the BUTTON TO THE RIGHT! THE MIDDLE BUTTON JUST RESTARTS THE CODE!

i get ALL of my cheats for nancy drew games from www.gameboomers.com and then go to 'walkthroughs' and then 'N' and then there are almost all of the games. i sudgest a user named MAGTRO! this person makes clear easy walktroughs but for this game, the creator is LINDA SHAW & NORMA KUDERNA. the walkthrough is a little bit less descriptive but is still usable.
