I'm stuck on the first "subject" after much time and MANY hints I can not find the rose petal !!!! HELP!

I am stuck - cant figure out what to use on the envelope - used steam but they wanted something more??

It's only steam!! just go on and steam the envelope and it will open!!!

I've tried the steam over and over and it will not open, It states that it needs a tool to pick it up with.

I've tried the steam over and over and it will not open, It states that it needs a tool to pick it up with.

I've also had this problem w/the envelope. Plus I've been trying to bring up 2 fingerprints on the bottle of Laudanum--it doesn't go anywhere. No other suspects to move fwd with. I'm stuck.
Well, I finally got the flap to open--had to keep moving the steaming kettle along the flap over & over again. It seems these extras are overkill.
I keep doing the powder brush on the bottle of Laudanum. It takes so long for anything to come up, then if I over click my mouse, the game stalls for several seconds, then continues. I don't know how many times I've worked to get any prints-get tired & leave so of couse I have to start all over again.
As I noted above, I don't have any other suspects I can work on until I get those friggen fingerprints to come up enough for the satisfaction of the game master.
Any ideas or assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I'm stuck on the boyfriend Franklin Blake. I need to locate a horseshoe in the workshop (shed, whatever) used a hint twice and the indication is its on the left hand side of the screen. I have clicked everywhere but to no avail. Any advice would be appreciated.

California. i am also stuck here. I can tell you there a four fingerprints. One on the glass of the bottle at the right hand side. One on the paper also on the right near the bottom. One on the paper at the left starting under the A in laudunum and one on the table just above the "Back".
I also found that if you hold down the right button the brush continues to move. However i cannot bring up all the fingerprint so that I can get away from this. Frustrating? Hell, yes!

I found more than one print on the table.

I know this is an old game...but, I can't find the rabbit in the first set of rooms! The hint consistently circles an area by the books/chandlier, but there sure is no rabbit there! Anybody remember where the stupid rabbit is in the first set of rooms??

Hi Katarina40,

Rachael's Room: There is a rabbit in a HO game on top of the window, there is a shelf and at the right side of it - look between the books and the chandelier - on the wall you will see a rabbit outline (shadow). If you still can't see it, maybe stand up, or change your position and look at it in a different angle, that helps sometimes.

Hi Smokeylady,

Use the teapot from your inventory (found in the kitchen) on the envelope to open it.
