Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox - Ancient Egypt

I am having trouble finishing in Ancient Egypt. I can not find the plans for Cleopatra and the ink for the Scribe. The only puzzles I have left are the matches and the gold bar. Did I miss something in one of the other places? I can not get back to the other places because I believe that their all finished. Would like any help solving this puzzle?

I can't find the ink either. I found a walkthrough that said to give the gold bar to an Asian man on the left side of the screen and he would give you the bottle of ink. There is no man on the side of the screen. Can't proceed. Is the a glitch in the program?

HI Mossy,

You need to have the gold bar in your inventory. At the Lighthouse of Alexandria you have first to place the matches in the fireplace, which is located in the middle of the scene. Once the fire is lit, you will see a scene of Cairo and an Oriental Man standing on the left side. Now you can go to Cairo and you will see him.

I am stuck here as well. I cannot get the matches because I cannot solve the columns puzzle. I have the symbols that Cleopatra gave me, but the pattern is not complete. It only has 8 of the hieroglyphics in the clue and there are many more columns. In addition, I am not able to connect the stars in the pyramid ceiling to create the correct constellation.

Can anyone help me with these puzzles? Please?

Hi Moppet52,

ASWAN COLUMNS: In Luxor above the portal on the left side you see symbols, for the Aswan Columns. click on them to place them into your book. With the ones you got from the Palace in Cairo from Cleopatra it should be possible to solve the Columns. The puzzle itself: You can change the symbols by clicking on any two of them and they swap places.
CONSTELLATION PUZZLE: In the Library in Alexandria you give the Scribe the ink and he will give you a drawing of the constellations, which goes into your book. In the Cairo Pyramids look into your book and reproduce the constellation pattern that you see in the book, on the ceiling. Connect the dots by clicking on any dot, then click on the dot in which you want the line to go to and they will connect. Keep connecting each single dot until it is a replica of the book. By the way it gives several solutions.

Hi Lagoona;
I appreciate your detailed reply. However, I still can't find the Luxor portal you refer to. I'm playing this game as part of the double pack. I don't know if that makes a difference. Also, my version doesn't have the net to catch the fish in the river. I even reinstalled the game just in case. Still no luck. Any other help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I've enjoyed the games.

Hi GjayR98,

Do you remember, when you gave the monk the fish and you saw a portal opening up. Look above the portal you will see some symbols in the top left side. That is part of the clue that goes on the columns in Aswan. Click on the hieroglyphs on the wall and the book will open showing you part of the solution.

I finally figured out what you were describing in your previous post. (kinda slow, sometimes)
But, the real problem is that I don't have a net to catch the 2nd fish. Must be a problem with my game. I've even reinstalled the game but no go.
I'm going to start the game from the beginning as a new player and see what happens then.

Hi GjayR98,

Please check before you restart. Did you placed the ornament onto the golden head and the pincers onto the toolbox? If yes you should have the net to fish. Click on the rod, which is located at the left side of the boat and you should get your fish.

Thank you Lagoona;
I had done those things. In this version (part of the double pack) I needed to find the pieces of the net and then place it in the river. Originally, one of the pieces wasn't available. Don't know why. Even using the hints couldn't find it. Restarted the game and all proceeded as it should. Just one of those quirks I guess. Thank you for your patience and help.

Ok, got the matches. I still don't have the other half of the net to catch the fish or the last part of the oars. Can anyone help.

HI THERE, i was wondering if anyone could help me in the egyptian era, i have done everything and i do mean everything, the last scroll after the constellation is done is supposed to go to the floor, its not there! its all i need to move to the next era. am i going to have to restart the whole game?
i bought this in the complete series edition!

Hi Steelergirl,

I refreeze: You opened the book and traced reproducing the constellation pattern that you saw in the book, on the ceiling. You connected the dots by clicking on any dot, then clicked on the dot in which you wanted the line to go to and they connected. Your design looks exactly like the one in the book. Actually now a compartment should open in front of you and reveal the last plan piece. You then have only to place the golden plate above the head of the right sided statue and click the back button and you should be out of it. Maybe go out of it and redo the constellation with clicking on the book again.

it was a great suggestion,but, it didnt allow me to redo the constellation.
i cant thank you enough for your response!
i guess before i uninstall , i will try starting over from the beginning.
