I've played this game a few times and I always get stuck at the end with the ghost machine. Can someone please tell me how to activate the darn thing? There are no items that are showing as missing but I still can't figure out how to get the machine to turn on. I had no problems with the Time Paradox but this one is giving me fits.

I'd appreciate any and all help.

You're not the only one having problems getting the machine to start. I've played this multiple times and still cannot figure out how to start the machine. I also posted this question on the RealArcade forum and got no response. Hopefully someone will eventually answer this question for both of us.

I Googled for Mortimer Beckett and the Secrets of Spooky Manor. Got this info: Go back to the Indian room in the West Wing; click on the curtain on the farm left side, get the battery. Go to the East Tower and place the key that appeared from sifting the flour on the heavy lock, this will unlock the Ghost Machine Room. Proceed to the Ghost Machine Room. Take the machine starter lock out of inventory and place it on the right side of the machine, over the green and red wires. The machine will start!

But there is no starter in the inventory to choose. All the rooms are complete except the ghost room. There is nothing at all that I can see to pick up and you cant go back into any of the rooms, including the Indian room. So I cant finish the game.

Someone please help!

I'm having the same problem. All rooms are complete and no longer accessible. I noticed that the starter requires a battery which didn't carry over when the rooms were finished and therefore the starter doesn't move into the inventory, making it impossible to finish this game. Where'd the battery go? I know I had it!
