However, the price difference of 3 times as much is too great, especially for a club member. The empahasis on being a loyal member to a club has also shifted with the cancel anytime policy and charging full retail price for a newly released game puts even less importance of sticking to one or two game clubs.
Being able to use game club credits to purchase premium games would make a difference, another club charges 2 game credits for their premium games which I think is fair and I would pay that at other clubs (and here of course) for premium games - no problem.
I wont be buying any more collectors editions at $19.99. I bought one 2 weeks ago and regretted not waiting for the basic version. I will be happily waiting for the basic version for Mortimer Beckett.

) I don't care about wallpaper, soundtracks, videos, or concept art. If there is not significant extra play involved - and not a lousy jigsaw puzzle, either - I am NOT buying another CE. Period.

Me, personally, I've been anticipating this one for a long time. And I will buy it. If you can't afford it, why are you even playing on line? Game House does a great job in providing good quality games. Thanx !!!

I only want extra gameplay. I don't care about strategy guides, which I don't use. (I made it through Riven - you think I need a stinking guide for Mortimer Beckett???) I don't care about wallpaper, soundtracks, videos, or concept art. If there is not significant extra play involved - and not a lousy jigsaw puzzle, either - I am NOT buying another CE. Period.
If they want to make these games double the price, like they do at iWin, maybe. But NOT 3x. No.

Hooray! What an excellent reason for keeping my FunPass membership active. I mean, besides the fact that it's the best deal going. For the price of 2-3 games per month on those other sites, I get unlimited access to every game here; and the majority of them do roll through sooner or later, with the exception of a very few can't-miss series. (for me)

2 of Diamonds
If you want to try to change the standard?...DON"T BUY IT! (I won't purchase ANYTHING I know is overpriced, here and well, --everywhere)
However, to believe if we (those who don't like to be ripped-off) stick together and DON"T buy something that is blatantly overpriced, that overpricing will stop... unfortunately it's not that simple. If there are always those who will buy it anyway, prices will continue to escalate. Those who will purchase something at any cost are the problem, here at GH and in the consumer world, and... in every venue.
As consumers we keep bending over.
