Mortimer Beckett and the Lost King - can't complete game

I just finished (for the 2nd time) the game and get to the point where I find the black feather. I get the feather and get a message, "I'm done here. I'd better check out the rest of this area." However, when I click Close, I am returned to the screen where I can choose East Wing, West Wing, Main Hall, Wizard or Garden. All of these locations say completed, so I can't choose them, but there's nothing else for me to choose. I've found all of the gems for the crown, but it seems like there's something else I'm supposed to do, since it says "I'd better check out the rest of this area." and I don't get a credits screen or any kind of ending dialogue where I find the kind or whatever. I would expect there's something more, but I can't seem to get to it. Any ideas? Thanks!

janieross, I had the exact same problem. There's no way you can complete the game now. You have to start a new one. I did that, and it worked okay. I've played it twice since then, and now, in the very first module, I completed the jewel piece, completed all the sections in the village, and when I try to cross the river to Dwarf City, Mortimer says I have to complete all the tasks in the village. I rechecked each section - the town square, the church, the tavern, the prison - all marked "Completed". Can't get across the river. Now I have to restart the game. Takes all the fun out of it! - Westel

You need to use the acid vapor on the chain , you collect it in the empty bottle it's by the statue you turn to release a green crystal in the cave . Once you release the whale you'll see a cave the puffer fish lives in.... use the fish lure on it.
To open the treasure chest look in the book it's in Roman numerals .... turn the keys in order starting at the left - using the code that's given ....

I had the same problem and requested customer support. They requested me to uninstall and reinstall, which I did. After that I went back into play and was at Rhinia Castle with the same black feather and crown like you said. I looked into the strategy guide which downloaded when I reinstalled. Looking at it all the way through, this is the last game and unfortunately, because it just stops with no where to go one thinks there is more. I think this game went way too quickly and maybe not as long as the others. I don't like the feeling of just hanging there, it feels like a glitch.

HELP !!! I can't figure that lock out neither - I can't find the code to pull the tree limbs , so I can't find the last thing - the pair of shoes !!!! I'm going bonkers.

Hi gang, I found that there was an ending to this game, with MB meeting the King. So once you have the black feather exit the main hall and go to the left of your scene to find a room with a color puzzle to solve, put the feather in the middle than go back to the main hall to leave...place finished crown in holder...Surprise!

HELP I'M STUCK!! I just put the seaweed into the mermaid's jewelry and now I can't do anything else at all. What do I need to do? What am I missing? All I currently have are the pincers. Help please!

You have to use the puffer fish on the sea weed

Hi, To free the whale you collect the acid in the bottle and then use to free the chain around the whale - to open the chest I used the code written in the note book for me it was 1 2 5 4 4 3 1 5 (so turn the 1st key then 2nd the 5th etc) - to get the amulet for the mermaid (use the seaweed strand then get the puffer fish it eats and pulls it) I am also stuck on the tree house puzzle need the code to get the shoes

I'm stuck there as well with no place else to look for clues until that puzzle is solved.

Hi Josie97471,

Arrange the books on the bookshelf so that the letters and numbers are identical to the picture in the house at the garden (remember the picture you have moved twice and revealed one with a man and a globe - at the background you see a library with all the right numbers and letters).

Let me know if you could solve the puzzle!

Hi Linsher,

You need to have a wooden lock (find it in the bedroom of the tree house below the chest) place this lock in the bottom right slot.
You see carved numbers in the wood part. The aim is that you change the yellow numbers, that they are the same digit then the carved number beside it. To change the numbers you need to turn the locks.

Hi Gatorlowers,
