save game issue

I have played this game twice now and each time I have had to start from the beginning. I created a profile and made sure to "Save" before I exited and still, when I open up the game to play again, I have to start from the beginning. Very annoying! Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix?

I also found I started from the beginning. Then I checked the Profile list, as I was NOT prompted to enter my name the first time, and found no profile at all. The first slot was filled with exclamation points and could not be altered. I created another, the second space down, and that has worked as usual. I did Exit out and started to play again and went to the spot I exited the game.
One thing, perhaps because I am playing the free-ad supported game, is that the game stays in the Loading mode for several minutes-seems to be frozen, but it waits until the first ad plays and then the game starts up where I had left it previously. Not a problem as I prefer the free game at this point but worth noting as it seems the game is frozen when it is actually just on hold. Probably not an issue with a purchased game.

I am having the same issue... after having SAVED a new profile the third time to start, when I exited and then re-entered the game, under my new profile, I STILL started at the beginning! I am really frustrated, because the last time I played, I had played for quite awhile, and as anyone who plays this knows, by the 4th time to start, you remember exactly where everything is (2nd time, most items!), and the game is boring now for the first period of time and I want to start where I left off!!

I am going to try one more time. I had made myself a profile for both times I have played it so far. I will try using the second slot. If that doesn't work I am going to delete it as I am tired of playing the say scenes over and over.
