My name is Lajos Nadasi, I am the programmer at 1morebee Ltd, we are the developers of Fiona Finch and the Finest Flowers.

We would like to write here tips and tricks regularly.

1.) Issue more tasks in advance!

These tasks each will have an icon. You will see these icons queue up from left to right, at the top of the screen. This is the Task-Queue.

Unlimited tasks can be issued, but not all can be displayed. If you issued 100 tasks, the first 18 icons will be displayed, then a green dot and then the last issued task, that's the 100th .

You can left-click on any task-icon in the Task-Queue to cancel that task only.

If the cursor is normal, you can right-click to cancel the latest task issued. If you keep right-clicking, eventually you will clear the Task-Queue. However there is an easier way to do it. Left to the Task-Queue you will see a big red X button. If you left-click on it, every task will be cancelled.

2.) If Fiona keeps working without a stop, she will speed up!

Fiona starts at normal speed (level 0) and every 3 tasks done speeds Fiona up by one level. 8 times 3 tasks done speeds her up to level 8, which is the maximum. If you keep her busy, she will be working at this speed.

If Fiona stops for 1 second, her speed will reset back to normal.
Also if you make a mistake, like you wanna put goods in a full storage, or too late to prune a flower, then she will reset back to normal speed.

The move commands are exceptions from these tasks as they won't speed Fiona up, just keep her current speed!

These move commands include:
- 'move to a spot' (footprint icon)
- 'move to the storage with empty basket' (storage icon)
- 'move to a fruit tree with no fruits on it' (fruit tree's own icon)
- 'move to an empty machine with empty basket' (machine's own icon)

Generally when Fiona goes somewhere but nothing to do there, thats a move command, which only keeps the current speed.

3.) Nurturing flowers
- Dig a flowerbed!
- Put topsoil on it!
- Plant a seed!
- When the water bar appears on the flower, it just stops growing. The water level may get to zero, but the flower will NEVER wither so don't worry! When you water it, it will start growing again!
- The plant food bar works exactly the same way as the water bar! No hurry there, the flower will wait for you patiently!
- When the flower is grown enough, you have the option to prune it for a limited time. You might want to hurry here, but only if you want a pruned flower.
- After a flower has bloomed, pests might attack it randomly. When the health of the flower gets low, the health bar appears. In this state you can't pick this flower up, as no one would buy it! You need to use pesticide to cleanse it and then you can pick it up. If the health level gets to zero, you still have some little time to save it, but after that the flower won't survive.

4.) Grow more valuable flowers, if you wanna sell them! (part-1)

The flowers, that you created throught crossbreeding are more valuable! These are the ones that appear at the top row of the seeds.

When the Topsoil is available, always use it, before planting a flower! This increases the value of the flower a great deal, with little effort (see explanation later).

Prune the flower! You plant a seed, the flower grows and develops multiple flower-buds. If you don't prune the flower, then multiple *small* flowers will bloom on the flower. This sell for less.
However, if you prune the flower, you will get a more valuable result! The 'story' behind pruning: Fiona cuts off all the flower-buds except one. This one bud will grow large! The plant will have one HUGE flower which sells for more!

(If you don't mind going a bit technical: 60% minimal flower value + 20% if you use topsoil + 20% if you prune = 100%.)

4.) Grow more valuable flowers, if you wanna sell them! (part-2)

Both topsoil and pruning adds the same value to the flower, but topsoiling is less effort! Why? You have to prune every time before a flower grows up. However, topsoil is only needed once, for every seed planted. From one seed you can harvest more than once. After the seed is 'out of charges', only then you have to put topsoil on the flowerbed. You still wanna do both .

In the 6th garden, you can buy Flower Wrapping Machines! Whatever value a flower has, the wrapping multiplies up this value (with 1.4).

4.) Grow more valuable flowers, if you wanna sell them! (part-3)

Example:
You crossbreed a new flower. Its minimal value is $60. You don't use topsoil, just prune it. That's $80. You pick it up and put it in the Wrapping Machine. The wrapped flower will sell for $80*1.4=$112. Wrapping increased the value from $80 to $112, that's $32 increase.
If you use topsoil and prune this kind of flower, then the flower will be worth $100. Wrapping adds ($100 -> $140) $40 value to it! So the more value a flower has, the more value wrapping adds to it!

5.) Selling goods, Part-1

Click on the Storage and Fiona will put everything inside, from her basket. For your convenience the goods are automatically up for sale, all you have to do is put them in the Storage. However, you can change it for each item individually, that it's up for sale or not.

This is how to do it:
Enter the Storage. Click on the "Pricetag" button (yellow $ on a green pricetag) at the bottom left part of the screen. The button stays pushed in and the cursor changes into a pricetag. With this cursor, click on an item. This removes the pricetag from that item. Click on it agan, and you'll see the pricetag re-appear on the item. Green pricetag on an item means that it's up for sale. If you've finished, click on the "Pricetag" button, or just simply right click! That will change the cursor back to normal.

5.) Selling goods, Part-2

Why would you keep goods? For example you want to keep one of each kind of flower, to prepare for crossbreeding them, to try all combinations.
Or you wanna prepare a bit for random Orders that will arrive soon.

Customers arrive from time to time to buy something. If the Storage is full you could wait some time, but there are better options than that.
Either buy additional shelves, or sell goods instantly at a discount price!

5.) Selling goods, Part-3

Let's see how discounting is done. Click on the button that has "-50%" on it. The button stays pushed in and the cursor will have the "-50%" sign on it. Now if you click on an item, that will be sold for half price instantly! Click on another one, and another one.. to sell them instantly for half price. When you've finished, you can simply right click, or just leave the storage if you have nothing to do inside.

Half price.. fine.. but where can I see the full price? Enter the Storage, hold the cursor oven an item briefly. A tooltip will appear, showing its value and other information as well.

6.) Crossing - part 1

Have a look at the seeds. The flowers in the bottom row are given by the judges. Most of them are given at the start, the last 1-2 flowers are given later when you have more money. You can only cross the combinations of these flowers.
The new flowers that you have created are placed in the top row. You cannot cross these flowers.
As it was mentioned previously, when you are inside the Storage, the time is stopped, so don't worry about the needy flowers outside. Also flowers won't be sold when you're inside, so relax and have fun crossbreeding!

Bring some flowers in the Storage and go inside. You'll see the flowers, put on the selves. If a flower is grown from the bottom row then it has a white label, with a molecule symbol (red, white and black spheres) on it. It tells you that it can be used in crossing, so you can place it in the crossing machine.

6.) Crossing - part 2

The Crossing Machine has 2 slots for flowers, one on the left, one on the right. In the middle it has a "start" button. This button is red until you place 2 flowers in it. After you did so, the button might go yellow, meaning you've already tried that combination.
If the button turns green, that means you've never tried it. Go ahead, press the button and start the crossing!
You may try pressing the button, in any case, and Fiona will tell you what's the situation.

The crossing process will last for 10 seconds. Meanwhile, you may think about what flowers to cross next, or go out to the garden and the crossing WILL CONTINUE inside! While you are doing some gardening, Fiona will tell you when the crossing is finished with or without a result. You might even gather more flowers and put them inside, to try crossbreeding them as well.

7. Seed tooltips in the storage - part 1

When a crossing was successful, the new kind of flower will be represented by a "?" icon, in the top row of the seeds. Plant one of this flower and when it bloomed, the icon will turn into the actual picture of the flower.

If you hold the cursor over a seed briefly, a tooltip will appear. I will talk about the tooltips when you are in the storage, because usually that gives you more details, than in the garden. In the storage, there is always a text-tooltip at the cursur, AND a graphical tooltip in the bottom left corner.

7. Seed tooltips in the storage - part 2

- Empty slot(top row only): At the start, these empty slots tell you, how many new flowers you will be able to create with crossbreeding.

- '?' icon(top row only): the text-tooltip tells you to plant one, as you don't know yet, what it looks like. The graphical tooltip shows which two flowers were crossed to create this flower.

- flower icon in the top row: the "?" has icon turned into the actual picture of the flower, after the first flower bloomed. The graphical tooltip shows, which two flowers were used to create this new flower.

- flower icon in the bottom row: the judges gave you these kinds of flowers. The graphical tooltip shows which two flowers were used to crossbreed this flower, in the PREVIOUS garden. If you haven't found this combination in the previous garden, then the parents are shown as questionmarks. In the first garden you will see something like this: Red Rose + Red Rose = Red Rose, because there is no previous garden.

7. Seed tooltips in the storage - part 3

- grayed out flower(bottom row only): These flowers will be given by the judges later, as you progress towards the money goal.

- recipe icon(top row only): it looks like a page from a small notepad. Every third time when you complete an order WITH BONUS, you get a recipe from the customer! The graphical tooltip shows, which two flowers you should cross to create a new kind of flower! If you don't fancy trying combinations, you can just go for recipes with quickly delivered orders! When the top row is filled, then, of course, you won't get recipes any more.
