broken door lock

I keep trying to "fix" the lock in the downstairs bedroom with no luck. HELP keeps highlighting it as a solveable task and I've tried everything in inventory to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Mafurrow1,

Under the bed, where the girl is floating click on the rug and you can pickup a ruler, which you can use on the latch of the door.

sad, but I can't see chapters when I open the game. I'm through the gate, into the mansion, the room to the right of the stairs. It's a white door on the right in the room with a lock (I have a shower door key) there's only one screw in it and says I have to repair it before I can use the key.I've been to the barn, seen the girl missing her dog, and it seems that my only action for the moment is that darn door.

HI Mafurrow1,

In the bedroom it has a mirror on a stand, unscrew the screw from it with the screwdriver (Collect the screw and the mirror) and use it on the bathroom door. Now you can open it with your key.

The ghost dog you will come across down the track in a grave at the grave yard.
