I just found out something after playing this game for more than a year. On Day 10 at the Winter Fair you ca use Francios as an entertainer! I got so used to not having any in this version. I noticed when the pointer is on Francois he lights up so I tried it and he dances.

LOL not just on day 10 - you can use him as an entertainer every day right from day 4! (On Day 3 he has to dress up in the elf costume so that he can entertain, but you don't get to use him as an entertainer on that day as he hides and you have to find him.)
