So I finish the puzzles in the crypt...run away from the bad guy breaking thru the door...get the wires hooked up in the car...and bang! it's over? Back to the campfire but not to the story. That's it? What about those other hallways? Who were those tortured people? What happened to hookman? I understand there will be a series of these campfire legends, but the game should have been long enough to tell the whole story.
I just finished the game, and a number of the same questions occurred to me. Is that it? What about the secret passage in the cabin basement? What was Dr. Hakin trying to do, exactly? Why does Christine have her own medical file? What's the hand in the lake have to do with this whole mess? What's behind the door in the crypt? How's Christine's dad mixed up in this? What 'experiments' were going on at the sanatorium? What's going to happen? Are the ghost-story girls going to have to face their fears in the present day?
And, most importantly,
Why on earth does our modern-day storyteller have a necklace with that same creepy symbol?!
Same thing here..finished it to the point where the car starts, and that's it!! Not worth the $20.00 if that's all there is?? It was alot of fun, but it was over in two days?? Please tell me there's more!!
I felt the same way. I'm new to this site and Hookman is my first download and I thought "What, is that it!" I can't believe I paid $20.00 (well probably more with the currency conversion), then I thought maybe I skipped a step or something as there are too many unanswered questions. It felt as though I should only be halfway through the game.
Looking at your comments I can only assume the other games don't leave you feeling the same way, otherwise I won't be buying anymore from this site.
P.S. ookmeister, I didn't even notice the necklace... shows how observant I am
I agree with everyone. This game had a great story, amazing graphics, interesting games and interesting game play. I put the wires in the car and poof! the game was over. I actually thought my game had crashed. Not sure if the company was hoping we would be intrigued enough to buy a sequel, but I am just plain mad and disappointed!
