I am in the food storage setting a trap for Haken, but I can't go any further.

Any suggestions?
The hint says plan my escape route but when I go to the fan I can't do anything.

Did you actually finish the trap by pulling the lever after cutting the wire with the wire cutters?

There is a walkthrough now on Gamezebo. I've just been there because I'm stuck in the same place. In my game, the wires are draped across the top of the box and I can't move them anywhere else (that is where they went when I took them out of the inventory) They are supposed to be clipped inside the box and dropping down into the water on the floor. Looks like there is a bug here (not the first one I've had either I'm afraid) and now I'll have to start the whole game again I think.

Hi Cheryllawson and Amilynd,

I clicked with the wires on the box. Cut the ends with the knife to expose the copper. Touched the ends with the finger (= cursor) and soldered them with the soldering iron. Then they dropped into the water automatically. I cut on top of the box the seal with the pliers and pulled the lever, now it started sparkling.
By the way I had no bugs and the wires shouldn't drop into the water before I prepared and soldered them. Amilynd, sometimes the walkthroughs have mistakes. I prefer just to figure it out by myself and most of these games are based on logic, I just think about the tasks as simulation of real life, when it comes up to searching of a solution, as example preparing these wires.

I think I have the same bug where it's not letting me cut the ends of the wires and I can't seem to get any further but I definitely don't want to start all over.

Since I just downloaded the game yesterday, I guess they haven't fixed the bug yet.

Hi CACuriousSoul,

You might get away with just clicking a little further up down left and right from the place you suppose to cut the wires. Give it a try before restarting. Sometimes it helps to walk away and go to an other place and come back again. If everything doesn't works you can still collect some fireflies and solve it this way.

I have read the other threads about the problem and I have tried clicking everywhere on the red wire but it does nothing. I have tried fireflies and all they do is indicate I need to do something with the red wire. I can't go anywhere else because it won't let you leave the food storage room and there's nothing else to do there but do this trap that I can't do and I can't SKIP it so it seems I am SOL.

I have had the same problem withe the wires for the trap. After reading the previous post I went back to the game. I realized that you have to put the knife point on the end of the wire to expose the copper. After doing that i was able to continue.

Doing it with the tip of the knife did it... and that's also what you have to do later with other tools you use. Wish I had known that several days ago...
