I've now got to start the game from the beginning because there seems to be a bug in the part where you set the trap for Haken in the food store.
The red and green wires didn't attach to the box when I clicked to put them in - they draped themselves over the top of the box and I now can't move them or proceed any further.
This is the second bug I have had in fact. The first one was right at the start when I was trying to find the newspaper to help unlock the twins room. The nail fire appeared in the "green mist" at the bottom of the screen but the newspaper didn't so i couldn't pick it up from the table in the living room. Started the game again and the second time, it was fine.
It's a really good game and I want to finish it but I will have to start again just as I was nearing the end. Very frustrating.
I found a lot of bugs in the game, and I'm not talking about the fireflies. I really had to grit my teeth to finish it - twice, because the first time it crashed just as I got to the last scene, where all was revealed! The second time it crashed even earlier, so I just gave in gracefully. I never did find out the ending. Lol.
It actually gave the wrong video tape number on screen, and cut number 3 out entirely on the first time through and number 4 out on the second run. The screen also froze every time I put a video in for about 30 seconds.
I too had terrible trouble with the trap at the end, and just get on clicking and clicking over every millimetre of it with all the tools, until eventually it did it. I'd been doing it right all along, but it just wouldn't do what it was supposed to.
It also gave the wrong hint messages on several occasions. As you say Amilynd, very frustrating!!!
Near the beginning, when finding things out of order, previously found items are missing from the found items.
Find the hammer, then the bandage, then all the makeup, put the makeip in the kit, bandage the mirror, find the nail, and the hammer has disappeared from the found items list when you go to hammer in the nail.
This is a very poor game and I'm so sorry I wasted time and money on it.
Same problems here, except I don't get very far before the game crashes. Usually when its starting to show a video into the next task. It always starts me at the same place, where you have to do that pirate puzzle. Very frustrating!!!
I only listed a few of the problems I had in my last post, but there were lots more. I came close to putting my foot through the screen a few times. When I tried to move the ladder along the bookshelf, the knob wouldn't budge, although it was the right time to do it - It moved once , one notch, then wouldn't move again. I went back about eight times to try it again, and eventually it did it. I had the same problem with the chess game, when I was definitely doing it right, and it wouldn't budge. I retried a dozen times, and eventually it let me move the piece. I tried using the skip feature a few times when I encountered this problem, but every time I clicked on the firefly, the puzzle just disappeared. I was doing it correctly, because eventually it did it, but only after I'd got a few hundred more grey hairs!
It's a real shame, because potentially, it really is a great game.
