I can not figure out how to do this. I have been stuck for hours, can someone help PLEASE

Hey, smokedawg! I was stuck too, what you need to do is find the symbols that are shown at the top in the correct order in the scroll and then click on the symbol on the scroll. So if the first symbol at the top is an upsidedown triange (for example) use the magnifying glass on the scroll to find the same symbol and click on it. The upper symbols will light up as you click on the same one in the scroll. Good luck!

I tried this but not getting anywhere. I find the symbols in the magnifying glass click on them but nothing happens. HELP

Same happens here. Are you also playing on a Mac? I wonder if this is a bug in the game. I can't get anything to happen, and have even tried exiting and re-opening the game.

Another Mac user here with the same problem- gems not lighting up after clicking correct symbols through the magnifying glass on the scroll in the correct order.

I've found some other forum posts on the web and it looks like other Mac users are experiencing the same problem.

If it can't be fixed I hope that the person who bought me this game can have their money refunded. What a waste. I wish developers would take into consideration that not all gamers are Windows users... They shouldn't be so full of haste when trying to port code. *sigh*

I'm having the same problem on my Mac -- yes, Gamehouse gives money back.

Yet another Mac user with the same problem. Nothing happens when I click on the shapes. I have had minor issues with other games because I use a Mac, but I can usually reconfigure the mouse to make it work -- mostly when rotating puzzle pieces. But I have not been able to get anywhere with this game. When I have the magnifier over the correct shape, there are other shapes in the lens, too. I wonder if it's just a matter of precise positioning; but I seem to have tried everything and have gotten nowhere. I wonder what our next step should be? Too bad, too, because I was rather enjoying this game and would like to play it to the end.

another Mac user at noon 2/14/10 and simply doesn't light up anything
I'll watch for an update to re-download the program as IT IS the developers error and problem

Another mac user here with the same exact problem. scroll over a shape, click then nothing. I'm definitely reporting this to gamehouse support and asking for a refund.

Someone posted a workaround on another forum:

1. If you're on fullscreen mode, switch to windowed. And if you're on windowed mode, switch to fullscreen.

2. Move the magnifying glass around the scroll until you see the symbol that matches the first colored button on top.

3. Put the symbol in the center of the magnifying glass. When you click, the colored button is supposed to light up. But in some cases, clicking doesn't do anything, so obviously there's a glitch.

4. Here's the workaround -- MOVE your cursor downward, till the top of the magnifying glass covers the symbol, and THEN click.

Let me know if that worked!

Thanks for that workaround (switch to window/full-screen mode and position yourself below the symbol). It did work - required a little fine-tuning to get it right for all symbols, but at least I'm past the scroll.
