game freezes | GameHouse

I was really enjoying this game until I got stuck. After completing all the tasks in the laboratory, and being told to go to London with a big arrow pointing to the map, I can't do anything but click on the journal. Once I click on the journal (because this is the only thing that responds) I can't close it or do anything. Any ideas?

I am having the same type of problem in my game, except it happens in the bookshelf in the laboratory. If I try to reset or skip, the whole thing freezes up and I can't do anything, not even stop the game. Even ESC or Ctrl/Alt/Del doesn't work.
