Reviews of Youda Fairy

As usual, Youda does not disappoint. What a stunningly beautiful game. Magnificent animations and graphics. You must raise fairies from fireflies that you harvest in your lily pads. When you reach a certain amount, they turn into fairies. Each level you have a certain number of fairies (in different colors) you must collect to win the level. Progressively, as the game goes on, there are more challenges introduced - big toads who would like to eat your limited fireflies, frogs that will cover your lily flowers & stall your progress, insects that fly by and would like to eat fireflies, but there are bonuses you can get by getting special white fireflies & other things that allow you to transform the toad, there are spiders you use to string your fireflies together, allowing you to grab many at once, bonuses that give you a shield effect or call for more fireflies. At the end of approximately 4 rounds, you play the village round where you must send the colored fairies (the colors increase with time too) to homes that request them - all the while, a wicked witch is trying to thwart your progress by setting the homes on fire, sending trolls to attack them, locking your fairy lanterns, setting time spells on them, etc. You never do direct combat but must work quickly to counteract the effects of her spells. Beautiful, involved & addicting game! 5 stars

as simple as this game is-catch the fireflies with the same colored lilies to make points to upgrade your castle-the upgrades each helped in the catching of the fireflies, or fighting off the witch, or sending the fairies to the village houses. i loved the spiders that you could activate to use their web to gather specific colored fireflies-the frogs and salamander were definately annoying. the fairies were beautiful flying out of the lanterns to the village houses. i think this game is definately geared towards kids, but seriously, i really enjoyed playing it too. liked the music, too. btw, the witch was disgustingly ugly!!!!!!!!!!

I really didn't like this game...not kid friendly and boring. The action to catch the fairies were a little confusing - just not my style of game. I have, however, enjoyed Youda Farmer.

As with the majority of Youda games, the graphics are beautiful, and this is no exception ~ visually beautiful. This is a very sweet game, where you catch fireflies and grow fairies in lily flowers and also protect villages from a witch. As stated above there are two parts to the game, the most being growing fairies, where you have to grow a number of different coloured fairies whilst under the attack by toads, frogs, lizards, flies and the witch. There are bonus lights that will help you, which you catch with your flowers, whilst trying to avoid thorns and flies. There are also spiders that will help you catch more than one firefly at a time. The second part is where you send the coloured fairies out to houses that require assistance, whilst trying to break the spells of the witch. You earn fairy dust as you go along, which you use to build a castle that has bonus help ~ such as increasing the spell time over a toad etc. This game starts of a little dull and easy, but soon progresses to be very challenging. Really, so much fun and so beautifully put together ~ may be challenging for kids, but they will love the fairies and the witch. For adults this can be challenging, and for those of us that still have a kid in us, will love this game.

This game is just average - nothing I'd buy so I'm glad I tried it first. All you do is catch little colored fireflies in a plant colored to match and they turn into fairies. There are frogs and bugs that get in the way and steal the fireflies before you can catch them, but there are power ups to help delay them from stealing - so real real challenge there. There is also a different type of game that comes up every few levels or so and all you do is put the fairies you collected in designated houses - simple and easy - but a witch, goblin, etc tries to stop you. Again, this is not anything difficult to beat. I guess the point of the whole thing is to gather points and build a castle with different upgrades as you go. ho-hum. I finished the entire game over approximately 3 hrs total. The game is not challenging and it does not become challenging as the game goes on. It does slowly get harder, but not hard enough where it's addictive or a real challenge at all. Really what I mean about it being harder as you go is that more annoying things get in the way. This would be good for young kids, but teens and up would get bored as I did IMO.

I absolutely loved this game. I think the graphics were wonderful, the game play just fast -paced enough to keep it from boring, but not so hectic that it got uncomfortable. An all round enjoyable game. I did find that on the very high levels there were some bugs, but they were not so bad that I couldn't play through them. I found that the Fairies didn't always release when you clicked on the lily pad, but I replayed the level a couple of times and once you know which pad gives the problem, you can circumvent it. There were a few other minor bugs that didn't affect game play too badly, and were just a bit irritating. Really though it's worth persisting to finish the game if you run into the bugs because it's a nice game.

Stunning graphics and potentially exciting game play drew me in like a moth to flames. Fantastically drawn fairies of bright colors you make by catching color lights by the same color lily. Once you meet your fairy "quota", you then help save a village from a witch and/or sorcerer. Unfortunately, I did not find much excitement in the game. It's time management, which I do like to play, but I found it boring and quit about halfway through. Disappointing, because the other Youda games are plenty fun .....

Maybe I'm too old for Fairies but I found this game BORING!!! It didn't even feel like a TM game either. The graphics were good, the sound was good but...I play games for a lot more than graphics and sound, don't you? It might be OK for a child who is into fairies and fantasy but for an adult....PASS!

was ok, but not a time management game, it was a puzzle game

I usually stay away from the time management games but the graphics on this one were too good to resist. I like the different approach to this game. The lightening bugs, frogs etc. It is face paced but not impossible.

The first thing I noticed about this game was that a person who didn't see colors well would be unable to play it. I have okay color vision, but I have some minor difficulties using a mouse, and also some visual problems. I stopped playing on level 6. The instructions weren't easy for me to follow. The fireflies were too small, and the red spiked ball on level 6 was too easy to "catch" even if the lily never touched it at all. Starting on level 3, the game was telling me "Hurry up!" .. Games are supposed to be fun, not frustrating and anxiety producing. I don't usually play time management games, but the other reviews talking about how easy this one was, and the fact it was from Youda, led me to download this one and try it. I got through Youda Survivor and thoroughly enjoyed it. The things you needed to collect in Youda Survivor didn't move, plus it said to you, "Don't worry, you have plenty of time." It was infinitely more playable than this one. Youda is a good name in time management games, but this is not a good game for people with disabilities.

I was excited to see another "Youda" game, but this was very different from their other games. Please keep that in mind if you read this review, because it made me a bit biased :) The graphics and sound are beautiful! If you want a simple, pretty game to just click away on without much thought, then please try it! However, if you are looking for a game that is a bit more involved and interesting, then look elsewhere. Almost all your time playing will simply be spent clicking fairies. A lot of fairies. My main complaint with this game is that it was simply boring and did not keep my interest.
