take a haunting journey in this dark hidden object encounter
uncover disturbing events in a ransacked home and aboard an ill-fated ship
analyze clues and solve challenging puzzles to understand a tragic revelation
discover the surprise ending that will leave you speechless
This game was okay I only got a little annoyed by the jumping back and from from past to present. When grandpa would tell his story then grandson would have to complete tasks.

Pretty good story - hope there is a sequel coming along as I would probably play again. Characters are pretty stiff and they did not come up to snuff with the scenery. The dialogue parts were the slowest stuff - so much for the 'faster' button. The background music did not always play well. Not all the HOs were spot on - dolly was a group of rolled towels. Plate could have been most any piece crockery - that itself was okay - made it more challenging. Finding the HOs was good as they did blend in with the coloring of the scene. The hint did not recharge as fast as other games and I think that makes you look twice before giving in to the hint clicking. The end of the story on the island kept you going back and forth for one thing or so. What was the mummy? I thought Hollywood lore killed off werewolves with silver bullets and not mummies or vampires?! Figurning out the rock, blow up boat and anchor - chain on the pullies - was good. You had to think about what you were doing - kind of out of the box.
has a good storyline...but I didn't like the graphics that much...seemed like one of those older games with bulky 3d effects...the clue-searching etc was good and addictive but the long dialogues kinda put me off... worth buying though...a good long HOB like this can be replayed...wish the grandpa angle had come to a better conclusion.. overall rating-3.4/5

I enjoyed this game, especially as you had to open other areas and collect items to carry on the story. You also had to think about what you had to do next so you could continue. I have to say the storyline graphics left me cold, but that did not really detract from the game for me. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star, is because it's a little repetitive and slightly frustrating ~ but that could be because I’m a little dim at times ;-)
I think this game has potential. It has everything that you would like in a game .... but it seemed something was off, or not combined correctly to make it shine more. There are a lot of hidden object searches where at the end of them you keep a particular item that is used in the game at some point. Some objects were hidden in very dark places, so I had to use more hints than I wanted to. Some of the HO graphics, especially on the ship, were of the same color, make it more difficult to find an object because the whole room was the same/similar color. Also the names of the items did not always match what the HO was you needed to find. I probably would have finished the game sooner, however (and I'll blame my operating system), transitioning from one area to another was slow, and I had to turn off the custom cursor, because the whole game would freeze. Even when I had a regular cursor, it jerked around a lot, making it difficult to pick up items in my inventory to use them. The background talking along with the music made it eerie (a good thing). The underwater breathing kinda creeped me out a bit, but I'm not sure why. Not a bad game. Something about it was off for me, but for those who enjoyed it, kudos to you!
Okay, so adimttedly, I haven't finished this game yet, but I'm not sure it even demands space on my hard drive at this point. I don't mind the HO so much, but please, don't give us a gray/brown washed out palette that we don't even want to continue to search in. If I have to search for pointless stuff over and over again, at least give me something with saturated colors or that at least looks interesting so I actually WANT to look for stuff! And I do agree with the other posters on the cut scenes being at the speed of glaciers....there's even a "faster" option but at least on my computer it didn't seem very fast. Also, the cut scenes use human images that are really doofy looking and not in context with whatever story this game tries to have going.
some parts of this game were a bit cheezy. the graphics were so so-old fashioned and difficult to see details-which made some items impossible for me to find without hints. it took forever for the hints to recharge. i had trouble figuring out where to go-what to do to proceded from some scenes-did a lot of backtracking. BUT with all that, i really was pulled in. i want to see how this ends. maybe b/c i am facinated with vampires-also b/c it was scary to me- the sounds/music especially the creepy laughter that would come out of nowhere, the blood suddenly appearing on the deck of the ship, the decidedly freaky ghost-like hallucination in the captain's cabin...loved it!!!!
I really enjoyed palying this game. It is addictive and fun. The objects are not easy to find so that makes it more interesting.

I absolutely loved the game! Great storyline with a very surprising ending! I love these types of games where there are so many interactive items to find. I like the cross in time periods....Good job all!

I think this is a great game if you are looking to play for awhile. You need to pay close attention, and it's a bit challenging, But!!! I really enjoyed it

This was a very long game, a lot of rinse and repeat. It would have been a lot better if they wouldn't dragged it out. Wouldn't want to play again or recommend.

This was not a bad game, but it did leave me missing mini-games.....didn't know how much I enjoyed those~ Far too much 'back-tracking' in this one. I'm not one who likes to constantly retrace my steps. Had they provided a map to take you from scene to scene it would have improved this one immensely! For the life of me I couldn't get the dialogue to speed up using the 'faster' button and the one time I skipped the dialogue I got lost for a minute or two. Didn't do that again. Thank goodness for the relatively fast loading hints, as many scenes were quite dark and items were not always 'identifiable'. All in all.....it was good, not great.
When I could keep moving forward, I enjoyed the game, although I also wish there were more minigames (I only remember two). There was logic in the items I needed to find, but inconsistency in giving clues as to where I needed to go next to find a scene containing the object. Instead, most of the time I had to just keep wandering all over hoping that an area would be highlighted so I could start the next section. It even seemed to me that in some cases, I ended up back in the scene where I had started after looking everywhere else. When I returned, an area was available to be searched. The HINTS and logbook did not help out with finding these locations. There were several objects with names that were completely off. "Dolly", for instance, looked to me like a stack of three rolled up towels. I never would have found it without the HINT button. I did figure out that the FAST FORWARD button has to be held down in order for the cut scene to move more quickly. I found the ending to be appropriate, actually. It made sense and left it open for a sequel.
Challenging, have to go back and forth to find what you're looking for. Never know what to expect.

I enjoyed playing but, it got a little repetitive going back and forth. It was a good game in length...at least not so short as some of them are.

Usually I'm really into the "vampire" type games along with being "thinky" on what to do/where to go next which this was but not so "thinky", "challenging" that I wanted to quit playing. The reason I couldn't get into this has to do with the dialog as the other review mentioned about it not wanting to move forward in spite of clicking on the "faster" button. It just seemed to take FOREVER to tell the story. If you do try to skip it AT LEAST FOR ME which I didn't really want to skip it cause I wanted to try and follow the story, you get kinda lost for a bit as the other review also mentioned. I also thought the fixation on razors was kinda creepy as well. If you do decide to play this hopefully the dialog doesn't drag for you and you enjoy this. Just not for me. I think I played this for maybe 20 mins or at least tried to and just gave up on it. I lost my patience with this game. Nothing to hold my interest. Sorry Game House but this was boring.
This game was okay I like the graphics and story. It was fun to play

The game is very thinky and puzzling, I enjoyed it to the fullest. It wasn't as long as I would have liked but there is a sequel coming and I know I will be waiting for it.

The storyline is good, and graphics is beautiful. I was slightly disappointed that no any mini game or puzzel during the whole game. A pity. Purely finding objects without puzzels is a bit boring. Anyway, a good game to try.

Unfortunately, the characters in the game are so poorly done, that I will not buy the game. What I played during the free trial hour was good - I mean the game part. But the designers really need to invest in the details of the characters.
