Alawar and Playrix are two of my favorite developers, especially since they don't stick to one genre, they offer them all, and these three are good, better and best. Good being New Yankee in King Arthurs Court. Very fast paced with a lot to do and plan ahead for. The displaced hero is thrown back in time to fight for King and Country, though not his own. He and the Kings minions are tasked to clean up and clear all villages to earn profits for the King. He (the Yankee) eventually earns special abilities allowing workers to do more, quicker, to attain their ultimate goal. This one was ok, but not as much fun as the next offering, The Golden years way out west. For an inexplicable reason the villain in the plot follows our beleaguered heroine clear across the country to hassle her and steal any gold she and her son are collecting to pay him to free her husband from his arranged imprisonment by none other than the villain himself! The levels and the dialogue are fast paced fun with some that require very good planning to avoid replay for better time. Quite fun and quite fun to replay if you let it "set a spell" before tackling it again. My favorite of the three however is The Promised Land which plays more like a sim game so therefore is a bit more relaxed with more planning involved than just hurry and get it done. Graphics and music are nice and the only frustrating "Argh" moments occur when you are required to fight pirates to attain a goal. Those of you who like angry birds (I do Not) will be ok with the pirates. If, like me, you are not an Angry Birds fan, do not despair, just pretend you are shooting pool and everything will eventually fall into place. There you have it, good, better, best ( in my opinion) but all of them worth a shot and all enjoyable on some level.
