When I started playing this game I thought what a marvelous way for parents & grandparents to spend quality time w/their children & grandchildren having fun playing & reading together w/the timeless classic of The Wizard of Oz. The game is fairly easy especially in the beginning to get you acquainted w/the many power ups that you will need as the game gets more challenging. Great FUN for the ENTIRE family. I recommend below more KID FRIENDLY match 3 games.

I was pleasently surprised at how much I enjoyed this game, although, to be honest, I did find the book bits between levels a trifle annoying. I enjoy that I'm not left making matches where i don't need them just to try and get the last tile. I did notice that some tiles do look a lot alike at some points, but that's not terribly bad. I did like that the game went with the book version, with Dorthy in silver shoes. The movie changed it to ruby slippers to go with the new Technicolor, so that's what a lot of people think of, but having read many of the Oz books as a child I preferred the orginal version.

and it's a fresh, fun, amusing match 3 game. Kids will flip for this. Inside some of the matching tiles are munchkins; you can see them waving at you and trying to get out. Matching 3 tiles releases the munchkins, who drop to the bottom of the screen and run away. Unfortunately, they say "woo-hoo!" every time, which gets old very, very fast. (Adjust the sound levels in Options.) Also entertaining are the surprisingly creative and unique power-ups which are introduced one at a time, thankfully, so they don't become impossible to remember. But do pay attention because if you do forget their purposes, the Help won't be of any help. You'll have to go back to parts of previous chapters to refresh your memory. Without writing a book, as I've been known to do in these reviews, this is a hot little game, fairly true to the timeless story of Oz (although Dorothy is wearing silver shoes for some reason, which is almost criminal). And if you find the scurrying munchkins a little too cute after awhile, you have to admit it's a darn clever concept and the game play is original. This is not a mentally challenging game, at least through chapter 3. But not every game needs to make you pull out your hair. This is brain candy that's just as good for an hour's play or a quick 10 minutes during a lunch break. Woo-hoo!

This match three has charm with the kids inside the matches waving and getting set free. Powerups are supplied to keep you moving. However, it became boring for me rather quickly. If I were playing with a child, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. By myself, it was not so. I didn't play it a long time, so if there were surprises further into the game, I missed them. I'm glad I am a Fun Pass member, as I would have been disappointed if I had bought it.

This is a simple traditional match 3 game with a child friendly storyline. There are the usual power-ups and locked cells but the 10 chapters are easily completed. Graphics and sound make the game relaxing and very child friendly.

This is an excellent game for kids or if you just want a relaxing, fun game to pass the time. There are lots of helps, hints and surprises. A bit short to play though.
