My son and I play this together and it's quite fun and educational. Kids will learn a lot if they are under about 12 years of age.

Depending on the game, Match 3 puzzles are old favourites of mine, but to hold my attention it has to be something with a twist. That's where Simplz Zoo fits the bill. I almost skipped over this one thinking it looked a little bit too much like a kiddy game. As it turns out, it was a fun game for adults and kids. Basically, you start off with a zoo that has one lion in a cage and a ticket box. (I know ... it's amazing any customers come through the gates at all.) It's up to you to build the zoo from this very basic beginning into something with top rating, crowd pulling, habitat pleasing, zoo appeal. To do this, you play match 3 puzzles (getting tougher all the time). All the puzzles provide money and food tokens, but they also have various other needed things as well (plants, trees, water fountains, animals, etc). As you finish each puzzle, you are returned to your zoo and get to spend your money. You position your items where you want them, and you have to keep an eye on some of the customers comments to see what could be helpful to them. That's the Theme Park twist. Simplz Zoo isn't all that Simple, as far as the puzzles go. Some of the puzzles took a few times for me to solve (before the time ran out). The nice thing is that they don't kick you out of the zoo because you fail. You just get another go (and another, and another, if you're particularly slow--like I was with a couple of them). The help at every stage of the zoo building process had me a little worried at first. It all seemed very complicated, but the reality was far from that. The zoo helpers guide you every step of the way. So don't be put off by what looks like loads of instructions at the start. It's really quite easy. So if you enjoy Match 3 games, but like them to have that little extra to keep them interesting, then this one is a treat. If you just like the puzzles and don't want to be interrupted with extras, then this may be a bit annoying (but give it a try, anyway. It really is fun--honest!)

What a challenging game! From the name and theme behind it, you'd almost think it's for kids but not so. This is a really cool game. Premise is that you are trying to build and stock up a zoo. You start with only one animal exhibit - the lion. You play match 3 games in order to earn food for the animals, money, workers, zoo points (can spend in various ways such as to fill up your bird exhibit with exotic birds), materials, decorations, etc. Sounds simple enough. The match 3's are very interesting and quite challenging. Several of them I had to do 3-4 times just to clear them LOL. I am not normally into match 3's but these really were both fun and challenging to do. It's just not a matter of making matches, each also gives you specific goals (some multiple goals) such as leading an animal in the match 3 to it's food or clearing specific tiles, freeing boxes of items that later can be applied to your zoo. When you achieve the goal, next you are taken to the zoo scene - which is like a builder game or simulation game where you are designing a zoo. This game offers so much and really is unique. I liken it to Youda Games where they always seem to go far & beyond what is actually required to make a good game, and as a result, they end up turning it into a GREAT game. I definitely will be purchasing this one!

Alright... Alright... I have to admit it.. It was a very good game.. At the beging of playing this game, I was saying to myself, "What's the point of this game?" However, I am addicted to the game. I have to get my trigers, and other animals that at my zoo. I am up to 78th level of the game. (Not sure how many levels are on the game), however your job it to add animals and animals houses and buildings, so that your zoo becomes NO. 1# of all the zoos. You get money, building supplies, food, and workers (and other goodies), by playing a match 3 game. Yes you cal match dianglely. Like I said.. I wasn't into, till my zoo becaome top 99. Now I am determined to make 1st. LOL.. Enjoy the game, you will also learn some great things about your animals, while you are decorating your zoo.

I enjoyed this game for the first 3 levels but on the 4th level, I tried it 3 times, wasn't able to pass it (huh??? what???), I don't have a clue why I did not pass it, I guess I really don't understand what I was supposed to do. I deleted this game from my computer. Needless to say I definitely will NOT be purchasing this game.

Way too much navigating (scrolling) to be able to put things for my taste. The match 3 part of the game was okay. Sorry just not that impressed with this game. I couldn't get into this. I made it almost an hour and enough for me already! The animals are cute and the scenery is nice, definitely a kid friendly game. I'll give it that much.

Before I started playing, I thought it would be too much of a kids game ....... NOPE! Adults will have fun creating their own zoo the way they want it to look. The addictive part is getting your zoo rank to #1. I'm currently at #2 and still working at it. You play a Match 3 to collect food, building material, conservation points, money, and research points. I admit it starts off a little slow, but I kept at it and it got more challenging and fun. I'm in the process of redesigning my zoo now that all the space has opened up. With the money, you can purchase buildings, indoor zoo animal displays (for the birds, reptiles, etc), out-buildings (vet hospital, research center, etc), and outdoor zoo animals. You can also use your money to purchase decorations, such as flowers, trees, lamps, benches, and even more pathways. There are a variety of decorations to choose from, so it won't be boring! You can play in Timed Mode, or Relax Mode. You also have an Information Center in your zoo to see what special items you've collected, your trophies, zoo ranking and how many Peacocks you've earned that are running around the zoo among the attendees. This game has it all, and is loads of FUN FUN FUN! If you haven't tried it yet, even if you're not a Match 3 fan, give it a shot!

Super cute & fun game. Not your typical Match 3. Basically you get to match tiles to gain points which allow you to buy new exhibits & attractions, upgrade existing ones, and purchase decorations for your zoo. It's a great way to break up the match levels. In between each one you're able to design your very own zoo, so it's almost like a cross between match 3 and a sim-zoo. Overall, a fun game to play!

The animals are so cute, I agree its very kid frendly and it also contains facts about the animals. You can add or subtract and move things around. Time is a choice and again the animals are so adorable.

I usually get bored after a while with match 3 games, however I really liked this one. Enjoyed building my own zoo and had to play until I finished it. Kids will like this too. My top tip for them is to untick the timer mode which will make it easier to collect building materials and money.

This game had me hooked immediately. I love how you can take your time, create and relax in the Zoo building mode. When you choose to collect more points and materials to build the zoo, you can either race the timer or without the timer.

I haven't played a match 3 game for a while but my daughter liked the thought of a zoo game so we tried this one. Great gameplay and a nice cutesy theme to go with it. The match 3 levels let you build up materials and coins to buy more things for your zoo. The animals/buildings you buy provide power ups for the match 3 game but the more animals you have the higher the targets (food and labour) are in the match 3 game. So there is a level of strategy in it in that you need to balance your purchases. I made the mistake of ignoring some of the support buildings and found I was struggling to meet the match 3 targets in a couple of levels because I had too many animals and couldn't match enough food to feed them. Turning the timer off would make it better for the kids.

I had no idea how addictive designing my own zoo could be! The only complaint I have is that the "mansion" was a little disappointing. I thought maybe it would upgrade, but then the game ended.

I really like this game, it's very involved and certainly different. I love the fact you get to build a zoo from your earnings at playing the 3M side of the game. The graphics are great and the animals really cute, the 3M part is at times challenging as you have a limited time to carry out the tasks (guiding animals and boxes from the playing field, clearing paths, etc.) Like most I thought "build a zoo, just silly", but after you start to build it you really want your zoo to be number one. There are so many things to collect and do it's great value for money!

I enjoy this game so much, I would like to play more like this. It has match 3, education, imagination, creating and just great fun. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to build success. I have played it 3 times through.

My kids loved watching me build the zoo. The artwork was very cute. My daughter loved the big eyes. She would also instruct me where to place the special features and chalenged me to make the monkey jump again.
