I loved this game! I was a big fan of the first edition, but this was even better. It is very addictive and I have enjoyed going back and replaying to beat my high scores.

i usually really like TMG's, but this one is 4 the birds. it's just too chaotic. u have to set up a beach-lounge chairs/ice cream stands/fruit stands/showers/volley ball courts/plant flowers-shrubs/upgrade, all the while trying to keep up with what ur customers want-ANNOYING. u had the option of completing tasks 4 ur customers-finding things they lost: passports/sunglasses/flippers/wallets...u also had to repair ur stands/a castle/a labyrinth. u had to kill menataurs. there just didn't seem to b any connection to a lot of the tasks. i didn't even make it thru the hr demo-which is highly unusual 4 me with TMG's. hopefully u'll like it better than me...

I have to say I am a little disappointed in this sequel as compared to the original. The premise is the same, you're given a plot of land and you are building up a beach resort with the same items you had in the original (beach chairs, ice cream & fruit stands, showers, plants, statues, volleyball court, etc). There seemed to be not much new over the last one. The gameplay IS fun ... but there is a certain blah-ness (new word!) about it all. Some of the things that took away from what it could have been for me: 1. You tend to build some of the structures ad nauseum to meet the goals. There's not quite as much charm to having 6 back to back fruit stands to accommodate your customers. A better solution would be to make the upgrades actually serve more customers instead of affecting only how much money you take in and your customers still complain of long lines. 2. Your items fall into disrepair too quickly AND there is no audio indicator of this. Add to this that even visually, with all the overcrowding on your screen, it can be difficult to even see that an item needs repair. 3. The customers who lose things are a little too frequent and there's not much challenge - objects are usually right next to them. The items can be difficult to click on due to overcrowding mentioned above. Plus, their long string of text tends to block the very thing you are looking for. 4. The addition of the minotaurs seems misplaced to me. 5. Sometimes you are extremely limited in building space. Now the positive things: It is fun to build a resort. There are various structures to erect. If you finish the levels quickly, you earn bonus coins to buy some new objects to use for the remainder of the game. There is no penalty for not finishing "in time" other than you won't earn these bonuses. There is also a sandbox mode you can unlock. All in all, I would give this game 3.5 stars - mostly for theme but if you've never played Paradise Beach 1 before, I'd recommend it over this sequel.

I have to say I agree with Emi1, who gives a good idea about what you have to do for this game below. Each level has a different goal on a different island – build homes for the pandas, save the emus etc. This game could of been so much better – for instance whether there are 50 or 150 tourists on the island with the same amenities they will moan the same (just doesn’t make sense). I found this game fun for about 20 mins, and progressed with it because I was hoping it would get better, it didn't! Good points - I did like the graphics - one guy had wolverine’s hairstyle. I also liked the different items you could buy, like discos, bars, souvenir shops and I also liked at the end of each section (each island) you could carry on collecting money and doing the island up more. However, the game play itself is too frantic, and you have to scroll around the islands as your resort becomes bigger trying to make people happy and set up items etc. For me this wasn’t a winner – but I’m sure a lot of people will like it.

I had fun playing the 1st version of this game -- a nice mix of time management type of goals with the freedom to "decorate" your own beach. In this one, however, I could never get the happiness up within the allotted amount of time -- not to mention that it gets more annoying as the game goes on. By the later levels, you have to worry about people drowning AND burning on the beach (which is every 5 sec), along with vandals, finding lost objects, items breaking down -- unless you employ someone in every single open space possible. There is NO time to "decorate", so stores are basically just thrown into empty spaces... Needless to say, if you like really hectic, fast-paced, no-chance-at-expert kind of games, you may just like this one. Good luck.
