A poor clone of Plants versus Zombies but nowhere near as good. It actually isn't all that bad, but it just doesn't make the cut when there is a much better option. Go get Plant vs Zombies and you will be much happier.

This game has the makings of a great game. It's a bit of a take off of Plants Vs Zombies which is one of my favorites. I guess it would be hard to try to improve on that game so under the circumstances the makers did a pretty good job. I must admit I have written this review before trying all levels of difficulty. I was thinking wow this is quite hard then realised that I had it set to hard mode instead of casual or normal. So maybe it's not as hard in the other modes. My one gripe would have to be that you can't play seperate players. My husband and I both play, and as is often the case the same games appeal to both of us. I have a good battle going and getting up quite a good collection of gold and soldiers and then he comes along and either takes over my game and lose a lot of my gold and gets killed. (needless to say he doesn't play as well as I do. ) If somehow you could get more than 1 player I would have given it probably another star. As it is, the only way we can both play this game and keep our own armies and gold is that we have the game downloaded on my laptop and one of us has to play on that. Don't be to quick to judge it the first 1/2 hour, as you can't help but try to compare it to Plants Vs Zombies and that puts this game on the back foot right away. If you do give it a chance you begin to enjoy it as you get to know the weaknesses and strengths of your soldiers and that of the Orcs and then strategy starts playing a large part and the enjoyment and challenge begin. When I first started playing I found it very unfair and frustrating but as mentioned earlier, I didn't realise I was in hard mode. Give it a go and I'm pretty sure most will get a lot of fun from it. Would recommend.

This seems like a pretty good game. Similar to Plants vs. Zombies. I would like to see more games like this. I may buy this one.

Ok so everyone is going on about how this doesn't measure up to Plants versus Zombies, well PvZ was a game of the year geez people get over it. Why did you go for this game, because the format is just like PvZ and it is just as fun. You setup your lines of defense against the Orcs and depending on how you create your mix you win or lose. Just watch when you start as the default is set to "Hard". Graphics look good, the lineup changes with each level so you have different defenders and Orcs. I'm having just as much fun killing off Orcs as I did killing off zombies.

When i read the initial reviews, everyone was comparing Orczz to PvZ (Plants vs Zombies) - I played PvZ a lot, then tried Orczz. I enjoy Orczz more the PvZ for several reasons: the animation, the background music, and the theme. It seems faster in pace, and more challenging. It is also quite frustraing in the initial phases. First, the tutorial is quite limited, and it's tough inuitive learning. For example, there is no help learning to use your catapults - Hint: you adjust the range by holding down you mouse button - the more you hold, the further the range. The catapults are important to attacking as well as defending - but they take time to recharge. Other items, like the bombs, seem to be unresponsive when clicking on them to place them - this lagging can be fatal, since the Orczz keep coming! The game screens give little advice, and you need to learn by mistakes - for example, the spy game is unforgiving, Moreover, when you lose, you often see that your next inventory has only basic fighters - your stronger warriors are not available, but the more powerful Orczz remain. I wish you could replay the games. Another limitation is that, while you can save your current game, you can only play one player at a time - you cannot save multiple games. There's a real strategy in the game, not only in the placement of your warriors, but also in setting a priority in terms of killing Orczz, collecting gold, placing your troops, using the catapults, and selecting other weapons (bombs, etc). You need to somehow do all these things while the Orczz keep attacking. Several times the timer reaches zero, yet the Orczz keep coming! Still, if you are ready to learn from your defeats, each game is more fun than the last! So, think protracted struggle - you will prevail over time! Addictive, challenging, fun game. Highly recommedned!

Plants Vs Zombies is one of those games that crosses genre lines and wins over fans who would never usually even think about playing a tower defense game. Trying to cash in on the PvsZ gold, the developers of Orczz have released a game that copies everything about PvsZ, except the charming and fun gameplay. With a large and inaccurate custom cursor which can't be changed, awkward and clunky graphics, and equally clunky gameplay, there's just nothing here to keep me playing for more than a few minutes. When a game requires fast clicking, and the game physics don't allow for fast clicking, this is a problem. Sure, give it a try, but don't buy until you've tried Plants Vs. Zombies to compare.

The game is fine, but it gets me really irritated because it doesn't flow well at all. Feels really slow and it lags, a lot. If you've played Plants vs. Zombies you'll know what I mean. The idea is quite good, but I feel as if the game is a bad, lagging beta version.
