Seemed like an ad for every other click. Way over the top, even for an ad-supported game. My time means more to me than putting up with that. I dumped it.

This was a pretty awful HO game. Very slow between scenes. Easy HO scenes. Not even a challenge. Got very bored waiting for scenes to change. SLOW - SLOW- Slow. Not worth the time & effort.

I agree this was an easy game. My 3 year old granddaughter had a lot of fun playing it with me, and I had a chance to introduce the odessy (sorry about the spelling) to her. She is proud that she can pronounce the names and wants to know what else happened to the characters. I will get an abriged version to read to her. We need easy games as well as challenging ones. Theses type give us a good oppertunity to pass our love of gaming onto the next generation. If a game is too hard then kids won't even try. Please remember that easy dosen't mean it was a bad game. We need a good balance of easy and challenging games available.
The horse was a good idea.... I like the ship.... I like the sparklies when there is something to find. Fun game.

New and interesting puzzles, great story line, hidden object area wasn't the primary focus. Good and challenging goals to meet and traveling back and forth in scenes to complete.

I tried to play to this game, but that game isn't one of the best hidden object games I have played in the past. That game is based on an epic history, but when you have to find all the hidden object in one level, it isn't easy as you can think at the first moment. If you try to play it, you will find it more difficult han others hidden object games.

This game borders on booring. The graphics are amaturish. The story a play on the original story. This game is representative of games available 5 years ago, in that the HOG scenes have you hunting through a junk pile for objects not needed in the flow of the game, such as leaves, spiders, and spoons. In each location you are required to bounce back and forth between the same 3 or 4 sites, to find the objects needed to comple the specified tasks. In the HOG scenes their seemed to always be a few items that were hidden in the darkest areas of the scene, that I had to use the hint function to identify. The puzzles IMHO required little thought, and a lot of clicking to completed. On most of the pizzles, I worked on them until boredom set in, then I hit the skip button and moved to the next scene. In addition to the above issues, the game loads very slow, leaving the player to look at a black screen while the game to shift scenes. Even with a new high speed computer, the wait between scenes was too long to keep my interest. As I literally had to force myself to stay with the game to the end, I will not be replaying this game.
The graphic were below average. Kind of reminded of a comic book or a cartoon from the 1960's. The HOG aspect was average, at best. I only played this for about 30 minute before I became bored and disinterested.

Great, crystal clear graphics w/ realistic sounds (waves on shore or against boat, wind, etc.) Somewhat "thinky", but not impossible to figure out. I used hints to go to next location, but pretty much knew what to do when I got there. If I had a faster pc, probably wouldn't have used them, but I did it to save time. Great story line, & though there seemed to be more advertisements than usual, it was an unusually lengthy game. But not so much so you got bored. Innovative & plentiful minigames. I just used the additional ad time for coffee/soda breaks, potty time, etc. I rated "kid friendly" but too "thinky" for little ones. I got it as a daily free offering, but it is a GREAT game at members prices. KUDOS to the makers of this one !! Been a HO fan for years & this is one of the very best.
This game starts out very basically but improves as it goes along. While it's true that the graphics are not realistic, it was still enjoyable. Sometimes it seems great graphics are traded for length of play and this game takes a while if you play the "expert" no hints mode. The mini games aren't overly difficult and the HO scenes are not too obscure, which is nice every once in a while. A story line that's not dark or gory is also a nice change of pace.
This somewhat basic HOG could have had so much more potential - but it's still a fun HOG! Yes, the music is repetitive; yes, the graphics are basic (but very well illustrated); and yes, there is is lots of backtracking from one screen to another - but no more so on any count than many other fun HOGs. The storyline is excellent! The tutorial is detailed and informative. The action may be slowed while waiting for different screens to be loaded, but we've seen that in other fun games, too (Tradewinds Oddessey comes to mind). The plot takes you on a "scavenger hunt" for clues and inventory items. The relaxed mode is a good starter HOG. Hint: be sure to note changes in the cursor icon - that is a good guide as to what you have stumbled upon. Also, reading the journal notes and the dialogue narratives of the folks you encounter will help you figure out what to do and/or where to look next. The puzzles are fun, and some are challenging; I didnt hesitate to use the "skip" feature in some cases. While it may not be as fast-paced or as interactive as some of the other new HOGs and action games, it's still a good value for what it is - a basic, fun, HOG. A map might have helped as a reference to track where you've been, but the hint feature will tell you if there's "nothing to do here". In the Odyssesy, Penelope, the loyal wife, agrees to marry when she completes the weaving on her loom - but each night she undoes what she had accomplished that day, in order to give Odysseus more time to return. That's what this HOG is like: repetitive at times, but worth the wait!
was very excited to see this game-i so enjoy reading about Odysseus, watching him & his many adventures brot to life on TV, and now to play a game w/ him as the hero is gr8!! from the very 1st scene i was hooked-the graphics are tremendous. u can see the waves splashing, the wind blowing O's hair. i found that even tho i had to use hints, i always knew what i was working toward-the goals were straight forward, and the hint button was GR8. i played in the easiest mode, and still felt challenged. the minigames were challenging, and as i am known to do, i used the skip button sometimes. the hr trial on this one FLEW by. oh, and when the tools i found for the carpenter started making the trojan horse themselves-no humans involved-it made me laugh out loud. luv the details-esp the muscles on the men-nice legs, too...gr8 game guys...BTW the war scene at the beginning of the game makes this a game i don't think is appropriate for kids-all the dead soldiers w/ one of them impaled on a spear-YUK...still a wonderful game for adults...
The Challenge is as good as the graphics which are superb! Whenever I am really stumped in a game I let it rest so to speak for a day or so while my subconscious goes to work on it and I will play something else by Gamehouse a little simpler. Usually when I return I can figure it out and keep on playing. If your still confused you can find your answer in the Forum as I have had, I have not had to use it very often. I like going back and forth between scenes finding and fixing what needs to be done. This is your game if you like a challenge with Great graphics and a great theme.
The story line was pretty fluid. Graphics were pretty out-dated and the music was rather bland. Seemed like the same music almost all the time. Challenge games were ok, some really easy, others I had to think about a little bit. Loading between chapters and at the hidden object scenes was pretty slow. Overall, not a horrible HO, but not the best I've played, either. I would recommend if you are bored or have played all the other HO's. I did really like the mythology aspect.
The game concept (Trojan War) caught my attention, but the only challenges involved figuring out what to do next sometimes. Also, the game seemed very short, especially when you take out the extensive dialogue scenes.

I liked this game, as it was set in the time of the Trojan Wars. The music has to go, but the graphics were well done. It was not by any means a hard game, but I play for fun, not for my ego. Alittle too much back and forth, yet all in all it was a good game, so enjoy and have fun. After all it is a game and games are for entertainment and fun.

I tried to like this game but I just could not get into it. It had the potential to be very good but teh graphics were bad and so were the story scene animations. Some of the tasks were iffy and confusing and then others were just too simple. Overall it just was no that great.

I played in Expert mode and would describe that as very, very simple and easy. It would have been quite relaxing if not for the extremely long scene-loading times. Sometimes I sat there with a black screen for so long I actually thought the game had crashed. I had to stop playing after an hour as I was spending more time waiting for each scene to load, than actually playing, which was frustrating and annoying. Graphics were quite nice, easy on the eye, particularly the HO scenes, and I liked the Ancient Greek setting - all that warmth and sunshine made a nice change from creepy asylums! But you'll need a lot of patience to cope with all that time spent looking at a black loading screen.
Made me think, and stumped me a few times. It was a little hard to figure out where to go or what was wanted at some places but, over all it was a great game.

This game was easy enough for sure and while the graphics were pretty, the mechanics of it: waaaay slow. Just changing from one area to another was frustrating enough but when you have to go back & forth so much & it takes the same long time each time, well, it just takes a lot away from the interest in playing the game over all! Disappointing to say the least!
